Hotel was renovated. Clean and tidy. Excellent location, near the river and the millennium park. Fantastic view from high floors

Good location and good service. I booked a non-smoking room but the room smelled like cigarettes.

For the room rate I paid for I would have expected  free bottled water in the room. I asked for additional sugar and cream for our room and I never received it. Also when you call the concierge there are times you have to wait long for somebody to answer the phone. Our overall stay was ok only.

I love Swissotel — it’s a great place with a comfortable stay. However, please note that a city tax of around USD 29 per night (including tax) is required. They also provide a daily USD 15 credit for the Amuse Bar.

My recent stay at this hotel was generally unsatisfactory. While the rooms are spacious, the facilities are outdated. The hotel does not provide complimentary water - instead, they charge $6 for a 500ml bottle. The air conditioning wasn't turned on before check-in, showing a lack of preparation. The front desk is severely understaffed with only one employee, resulting in queues every time you need assistance. The service quality needs improvement - they don't provide basic room service such as delivering toothpaste to the room. Additionally, the elevators lack security access control, raising safety concerns. Particularly disappointing was when staff entered the room with such brief notice that I didn't even have time to respond on the check-out day. Considering the room rates, this hotel offers poor value for money. Apart from the generous room size, the overall experience falls short, and I cannot recommend staying here.

The hotel was clean and the response at the lobby was very good. The view was also nice. The accommodation during my trip to Chicago was perfect and I was very satisfied.

Great service, great smell, very clean, nice view, very relaxing. The only downside is that they do not provide you with a toothbrush or a toothpaste.

The location is great. The cleanliness of our room was fantastic. I asked for a luggage cart to be at the room at x and the front desk said I needed to call for the cart. Really? It took over 15 minutes for a bellhop to arrive at 6:45 in the morning. There is an additional $25 a day charge that is not disclosed at booking. The coffee costs more than Starbucks...? We bypassed getting our room cleaned for two days. On the 3rd it was never addressed. Staff said ... oops. It used to be THE hotel to stay at in Chicago. The last two nights teenagers were running around unsupervised and making noise until security was called. Probably not going back, so sad.

Swissotel Chicago is always friendly , helpful, and they have amazing smash burgers from lobby bar!

Good location in downtown, but I didn’t like how there was no complimentary water and it was an upcharge. Also didn’t like that there was no way to opt out of the additional 25 USD extra charges for various amenities.

It was a clean hotel and a good stay. The location is good and convenient for us to complete several things in Chicago. We will stay there again in future.
