Family-friendly Hotels in Chiang Mai

I am a regular visitor to Chiangmai and thought I should try out this new hotel in town. What a fabulous experience it was The room is very spacious and the hotel is decorated in a modern style, with plenty of Thai touches. The lighting is good and the mirrors in the room are great if you love a mirror selfie as much as I do. The club lounge, (known as the level) is one of the best I have experienced I loved the cocktails of the day especially the Chao Phraya one made with local rum, very delicious, and so much fun to have it made in front of us in a fabulous copper coloured shaker. The service in the club is excellent, the manager Taemasin is very charming and super helpful. He had so much passion for the hotel My only regret is that I did not get to dine in the Mai restaurant. I had seen some beautiful pictures of the food on instagram, and after I talked to Taemasin, who told me that the food is so much more special then the photos can show, I know that I will definitely be back.

Stunning hotel, feels like you are in your own little sanctuary.  Friendly and helpful staff, make you so relaxed. Stayed previous two nights in another hotel which doesn’t come close to Chala Number 6

We reached the hotel at 5am in the morning after a 14 hours train ride from Bangkok. We could check in early but we had to pay for 1000 Baht which was too much and was full price for a room. Hotel is spot on. Room is spacious, clean, very good air conditioning, shower was a little bit disappointing, toiletries, free bottles of water, no free toothbrush, clean towels as well as bathrobes. Big smart tv, mini bar, microwave were in the room. Nice comfy bed and pillows. Nice swimming pool and pool towels were provided. Overall good stay

Great location and facilities. Receptionist was helpful and very good hospitality. Chi spa was great. Full option and the one I tried was impressed (relax package). Limited restaurants in the hotel but we are in the middle of Chiangmai downtown so there are plenty of choices around. Swimming pool was spacious. I didn't visit the fitness but there is one. Room was good, clean and fully equipped with everything. Bathroom was well-lit and all were great.

We always like to start with the good so here was the good. The staff at Siripanna Villa was friendly, helpful, courteous and spoke fine english. The rooms are spacious with plenty of outlets, and storage. Unfortunately the bad outweighed the good. Here is our list and it lines up with many others: 1). The hotel is past its prime and could use significant renovations. The bathrooms were dark and the beds were HARD AS A ROCK. The massage tables we enjoyed around Chiang Mai would have been a welcome respite rather than the beds. 2). The bugs in the lobby and breakfast area were a bit much, not to mention the stray cat that decided to join us one morning. The breakfast was less than expected compared to the rest of the 4/5 star hotels we have stayed at in Thailand (so far). 3). The location is not convenient to much of the great things to enjoy in Chiang Mai. 2 examples, our 1st day we decided to hit the closest massage as soon as we arrived. We found that the 1.8 mile walk through back streets was a bit much. 2nd, we wanted sushi for our last meal last night. We took a Grab taxi that was almost 300 Baht (for those who count taxi rides in massages, that is 1 extra Thai massage we could have enjoyed!) 4). Our room smelled like mold and there are no washcloths provided in the room. In fairness, Covid may have hit the Siripanna Villa hard as the Italian restaurant that was on the property was permanently shut down. We hope this review is useful to others....PS If you want to experience the BEST elephant farm experience in Chiang Mai you should visit Patara. They provided an INCREDIBLE day for us.

Absolutely wonderful! I wanted to stay somewhere to ”treat myself” while in Chiang Mai for the first time, and this retreat did not disappoint. As a vegan, it was wonderful to be in a place that was completely plant-based. The pool was beautiful, as was my view from my room. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with large luxurious bathrooms. Room service was fantastic, and this was my first experience having khao soi, which I fell in love with immediately. The breakfast buffet was tasty and had an excellent selection, ranging from fresh fruits, to pastries, to hot dishes, and more! In terms of location, it was right where I was planning to explore during my time in Chiang Mai. I fell in love with this resort and will definitely add it to my list for my next visit.

The Prio is very close to the airport and was so nice to have an accommodating stay after a late flight. Very specious, a nice gym, friendly staff and was able to leave suitcases there while we visited nearby area

This hotel is located close to 1nimman and Maya Shopping Center, so it was the best location. However, there was an incident where we had to change rooms because there were ants in the room, but they were handled quickly. I would like to praise Tiw and Ying, who were at the desk. They were very kind. I would also like to thank Tle, who kindly carried my luggage.

This was our first time staying at this hotel and the experience was excellent, all the staff were friendly and service was excellent. So our journey in Chiang Mai was both comfortable and smooth. We hope to see you again next time, thanks Anyin！

We ended up staying at 9 Suite for a month in October 2022. The rooms are spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The staff are absolutely lovely, always happy to help and have a chat. We had some drama with a last minute flight cancellation and a rush to extend our visa, they went the extra mile to ensure our forms were filled in and we had all the accommodation evidence we needed for immigration. There are 2 cats and a dog on site, which of course aren't allowed in the rooms. They stay in the hotel lobby. For me this was a bonus because I got to play with them everytime I walked in and out of the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel, its a great base for exploring Chiang Mai and you'll be made to feel very welcome! We'll definitely stay here again if we're ever back in Chiang Mai.
