Nice old hotel with courtyard in wenshu area. In the middle of the ancient part. Close to temple and shops and tea houses. Quiet corner. Clean. But some rooms of the type we picked dont have windows and we got that one. Some furnitures in the room feel out of place and dont match the overal vibe. Other than that, a decent stay. Reception staff is friendly and helpful.

Very bad water system, no hot water, water pressure small and occasionally simply no water.. although staff are helpful and bed very comfy.

Perfect location, near the temple and the metro station. Many restaurants nearby.

I highly recommend this hotel! The air conditioning in the room is really awesome. The key is that the front desk staff is very considerate and will help us turn it on in advance. As soon as we opened the door, the cool air instantly dispelled the 30-degree heat outside. This coolness is really healing in summer. I booked this hotel with my parents and kids. There is such an ancient courtyard hidden near the People's Park in the city center! The carved doors and windows are very tasteful. The kids like the courtyard the most. They run upstairs and downstairs happily. We adults drink tea next to it. It's so wonderful to have a break in the city! The boss is very enthusiastic. Seeing that we have a lot of luggage and children, he helped to carry the boxes without saying a word. It's so considerate! You can also watch Sichuan Opera face-changing. The children are very happy. The whole family is satisfied with the stay!

I stayed at Darling Mansion in Wenshufang, Chengdu for two nights and was completely fascinated by its old Shanghai style! The overall style of the mansion is a mix of old Shanghai + courtyard, with stained glass, brass lamps, phonographs, retro furniture... Every corner is full of age, and it is super photogenic! At night, the courtyard will light up with warm yellow lights, accompanied by soft jazz music, and the atmosphere is directly full, which is very suitable for couples or girlfriends to experience. Room experience: Elegance and comfort coexist. The "Paramount" room we stayed in has velvet bed curtains, carved dressing tables, retro bathtubs, and even the switches are old-fashioned levers. The details are too touching! The bedding is comfortable and soundproofed. It will not be disturbed by the outside bustle at all, and I sleep very well. The toiletries are packaged in retro packaging, with high-end fragrance, plus points!
