"The rooms had an antiquated appearance, with outdated furniture and decor that felt more unpleasant than charming. While the bathrooms were manageable, the overall condition of the rooms left much to be desired.
Our first night was particularly uncomfortable due to the absence of air conditioning, which made the rooms stuffy and difficult to sleep in. When we raised this concern, we were informed that the air conditioning policy—aimed at reducing energy use due to global warming—prohibited its use until May. This was frustrating, as we visited in mid to late April, and were instead advised to open the windows for ventilation.
However, keeping the windows open led to a new issue on the second night: mosquitoes and flies. Their presence made it impossible to sleep properly for the second night in a row. While the staff were friendly and tried to assist, the disappointing condition of the rooms and lack of sleep significantly impacted our stay.
Overall, the hotel's location on the Grand Canal is beautiful, but the outdated accommodations and discomfort made the experience less enjoyable than we had hoped."
