Continental Hotel Budapest Reviews

The hotel is well located to walk around and there are great places to eat nearby. It’s a 15 minute walk to the Christmas markets and river. The hotel is very nice in the entrance with a dramatically beautiful lobby, but the rooms are small, dark and in my case not very clean. Before I keep with the negative aspects, I’d like to make a special remark to Mr. Janos who was the most helpful person and so willing to help and gave us the best recommendations, including best running route!!! I arrived at 7am and was able to change and go for a run before my room was ready as early as 11am!! Thank you for that!!!! Back to the negative: My room didn’t have a bath (my friend’s on the same floor did 🥲) and the furniture was old and kind of sad. The worst was the shower. It was so tiny and badly designed that it was impossible to use the shampoo without getting it all washed away. Breakfast was very good, specially if you are an early bird like me and can enjoy the 7am opening service with fresh bread, amazing eggs and the cauliflower which was my ultimate favorite!! All in all, pleasant stay, made much better by Janos!!!!!

incredible location near everything

Lovely experience, service was polite and helpful. Rooms were very clean as well as the hotel itself. The buffet breakfast in morning was excellent and surprised but the food at the hotel on upper floor on the gallery was also really good, we had light bites - salad and drinks. Quite happy to have spent an afternoon relaxing there. Thank you for a wonderful stay will definitely recommend to my friends going to Budapest. And I'd be keen to stay there again. It's a great place close to amenities and bars and vintage shops.

Good service and good breakfast

The location and hotel are perfect. The only thing not worth it is probably the swimming pool which is freezing cold even tho it is indoor.

I would be happy to provide an excellent review for Continental Hotel in Budapest. My experience at the hotel was fantastic. The room was tidy and clean, and the location was excellent, close to the city center and the great synagogue. The pool and sauna were also great amenities. Most importantly, I would like to give a special thanks to the excellent service provided by the hotel staff, who was extremely helpful during my stay. Overall, I highly recommend the Continental Hotel for anyone visiting Budapest.

Very nice hotel with beautiful design. The minus was that it wasn’t so clean. The positive was the good bed and the good tasting breakfast.

Just the great hotel as you would expect from the booking site. All the staff members where very friendly and tried there best to speak English as good as possible. The wellness facilities are also pretty nice, especially for a hotel in the middle of such a big city.

Good, clean rooms, very close to metro, fantastic rooftop. Staff were helpful, meals were nice. There were some complimentary items (like water) in the room. Nice touch.

Was a great stay. The breakfast was very good with delicious French toast.

The hotel is located in the Jewish quarter, close to the Hungarian specialty store, and can be reached on foot; the breakfast is rich, the hotel is old, and there is a hot spring on the top floor; it can be said that although the sparrow is small, it has everything. High cost performance

The hotel is a bit dated, and I would have liked to see some improvements in terms of amenities and services. However, the breakfast buffet was extremely positive.
