We absolutely loved the Araliya Hotel. It's a great hotel with a fantastic beach, sand, and sea. They have excellent sun loungers exclusively for guests, and the beachfront area is guarded, so you don't have to worry about outsiders taking them. The beach bar/restaurant is superb, with excellent service. They always have cold beer, delicious cocktails, fresh fruit, and fish. Every day, they'd bring out freshly caught tuna and announce it to the whole beach, which was quite a highlight. The sandy beach is gently sloping, the sea is warm, and the water is clear. You'll see a lot of families and children on the beach. It's definitely a family-friendly hotel, with about 80% Russian guests. The staff doesn't speak Russian (except for one person), but that's not an issue with the restaurants around the hotel, where many people, including taxi drivers, understand Russian. We really enjoyed everything. It has all you need for a relaxing vacation. The rooms are spacious and clean, and all have sea views. The bathroom is also quite large. Nearby, there's a street with restaurants and shops offering good prices. You'll find currency exchange offices everywhere; the rates are a bit lower than at the airport, but not by much. We truly loved our stay and will definitely be back, maybe with our kids next time. P.S. I'd like to give a special shout-out to Naveen, one of the restaurant staff members. He's a very pleasant, smiling, and responsive guy who went out of his way to make every guest comfortable. We were very impressed with his service.

Hotel heart praise The experience of staying in this honeymoon trip was directly full, and the whole process was warm and moved. I really want to praise it! The hotel is full of details, I learned that we are on a honeymoon trip, and we deliberately put the word happy marriage on the bed with leaves. The ceremony is full and very intimate. All the staff are super enthusiastic, and they will take the initiative to say hello and give courtesy to the face. The service atmosphere is particularly good. When I exercise in the gym, I consulted the yoga instructor about what exercise is suitable for shoulder pain. The coach was very enthusiastic. He specially brought essential oils for free to help me professional back massage for 15 minutes. It perfectly relieved the physical discomfort and was especially warm. The most important thing to praise our personal butler ISHANKA, is definitely the best and most reliable butler I have ever encountered during my trip! Sincere and kind, hardworking, and meticulous service. Knowing my lover's work and rest only at noon, I specially tailored our snorkeling, surfing and other itinerary. The time is relaxed and orderly, and there is no need to hurry, and the play experience is particularly comfortable. What makes us remember more is an accident: when we go out to eat, our lover is accidentally scratched by the cat, and the situation is urgent. ISHANKA helped us contact the hospital as soon as possible. At that time, the rainstorm poured and the lightning thundered outside. He accompanied us with an umbrella throughout the whole process. He communicated with the doctor smoothly. He was busy with us from 8 o'clock in the evening to 1 o'clock in the morning. The whole process was intimately appeased and followed up. Help us successfully complete the rabies vaccination in time, really special responsibility. There is also the original third day of sea fishing trip, before departure, I noticed that the sea is about to usher in a storm, for our personal safety, decisively cancel the trip temporarily. Afterwards, it was confirmed that the rainstorm was raging that night, and the wind and waves were very large. It can be seen that he always put the safety of guests first, especially responsible. The overall stay experience is impeccable, the environment, service, humanistic care are all full marks, butler ISHANKA is irreplaceable, highly recommended to friends who come to travel!

We stayed in this Guest House for 6 nights and then in other places in Sri Lanka, and I want to say that this is the best place of all that we visited. Very close to the sea, there is a cafe nearby. Initially, we were afraid of the noise from the road, but everything was great. We felt completely safe and were not afraid to leave valuables. Breakfasts were excellent and the coffee was super.

We arrived at hotel at 5pm and staff didn’t know if we could check in despite there being a 1pm check in. Sink in room didn’t not drain, fan didn’t work and bed sheets had marks on them. It was just ok, wouldn’t rush to book again

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Pandanus Beach Resort & Spa, so much so that I ended up extending by two extra nights. I also invited a friend along so they could experience it as a romantic getaway weekend break, and it truly was—wonderful to experience everything through a “rose-coloured lens.” While the resort is undeniably romantic, the real highlight for us was the ocean and beach itself. We were up early to frolic in the sea at sunrise, then we spent unhurried time strolling the shoreline, walking the beach and soaking up the calming atmosphere. We also loved popping over to a nearby beach lunch restaurant, then returning for more time in the sand. And it wasn’t just the scenery—there were also local puppies that made the whole experience feel even more special. We ended up playing with them, laughing, and getting thoroughly covered in sand, which made the days feel playful, personal, and unforgettable. Overall, Pandanus Beach Resort & Spa feels like a genuine romantic couples paradise—especially if you’re the kind of couple (or couple-at-heart) who wants your weekend to be all about ocean magic, slow beach days, and shared moments. 💗🌊🐾

This stay was the highlight of our trip in Sri Lanka. The room is in the heart of nature, and you’re surrounded by the sounds of the wild, fresh air away from the roads, and the peace and quiet that comes with a more intimate stay. Additionally, the breakfasts have been our favourite, especially the hoppers! It was all fresh and Sri Lankan style, served with the jungle in front of us. One morning, we had monkeys. Another, chipmunks. One special night, we had fireflies. The location was exceptional. However, it was Praneeth who really made this place special for us. We had great conversations, and he even recommended me a great birdwatching app. One night, we chatted for a couple of hours and I learned so much about this beautiful country. Genuinely, Praneeth is a huge value to Jungle Loft. He was attentive, thoughtful and a wonderful representation of the kindness Sri Lankan people exude. Thank you so much, Praneeth for your warmth! I can’t recommend Jungle Loft enough. It’s an ideal location, it’s private, it’s beautiful, and you’ll be looked after. Go for it!!

Absolutely stunning sea view hotel! I have to rave about the dinner – it was truly excellent! Breakfast, however, wasn't quite as impressive as dinner. The service was fantastic! And the toilet paper in the bathroom was the best quality we encountered throughout our entire trip to Sri Lanka!

Very close to the beach, the day before the hotel was very late at about nine o'clock, I fell asleep directly. I woke up in the morning and saw the blue sky and sea. I was in a very good mood. There seem to be many Russians in the hotel, and the restaurant also specially put a Russian menu. My favorite is the early morning pool, the private venue, casual swimming, the deepest is about two meters, great. The breakfast is also very good, except for the local curry, I can accept it, the papaya is very sweet. Be sure to stay for two more days next time.

The room itself is adequate. The air-con was strong and the shower was good. When I arrived, there was no one there. I opened the gate and walked in. I called the number to the property and the person who answered arrived shortly thereafter. He said no one was there because of the New Year holiday. He showed me to my room. I asked for one in the back, but he said he was having a party and that might be too much for me. After I got settled into a clean room in the front facing the traffic, there was no towel or soap. Late at night after I was asleep, I was startled by someone who began banging on my door and turning the knob several times to get in. I yelled at that person and told him to stop. It did stop and afterward, I felt completely unsafe. I got up to put my heavy suitcase at the door to prevent the intruder from coming in. The staff person had said to me that he was having a party, but then said it was cancelled. There were several men at the property when I returned in the evening. I'm not sure who the perpetrator was maybe it was one of them. There is no peep hole and the windows are frosted. I felt completely vulnerable. I didn't even think to call the staff person because I was frightened and sleepy. My advice is to be cautious if you stay here.
