Hotels with Breakfast in Hue

"Overall I had a great experience until the last night ( Saturday night) when the hotel was fully booked for some kind of very wild Vietnamese people- big families with around 50 kids of different ages ( they came to celebrate the birthday) in total who ruined my sleep at 5:40am and then again ( after I told them to shut up) at 07:40 am so I couldn’t fall asleep anymore ( I worked till 01:00 am and wanted to sleep at least till 0900)🤦🏼♀️ Their kids are running the hallway from early morning screaming with doors opened into their rooms where their parents are shouting at each other ( those uneducated people from the villages can’t talk quite). You can hear it with your door closed very loudly ( my alarm rings even quieter). The evening before they were singing karaoke in the meeting room next to the lobby bar ( in the main building), so I could hear it in my room on 5th floor. I don’t understand why hotel management allows these such big groups which don’t even know to to respect other guests especially in 5* hotel to stay at such famous brand hotel ( Meliá) . Those kind of the LOCAL guests just ruin the image of the hotel! I pay money for 5* hotel to have a good sleep, but not to be disturbed by other guests 24/7 who have no manners and do not teach their kids how to behave in such places. My suggestions for a light sleepers to AVOID this hotel on WEEKENDS as you probably won’t be able to sleep. I have been living in Vietnam for 7 months ( mostly in 4-5* hotels ) and noticed that is a common practice for some Vietnamese to gather whole village and book 5* star hotel for weekends for celebrations. I had the same issue in very nice 4* hotel in Hoi A where I stayed during 6 weeks. Every weekend it was a nightmare for me (in the night and early morning!). In all other aspects if you come to Kobi during the week this is amazing hotel! Beds, views, ONSEN, breakfast….and staff are amazing! Thanks to everyone who works in this hotel for providing a high quality service."

"Awesome stay at Melia Hue. Perfect location. The interior, service and amenities all feels high end. It’s a surprise to find such a nice hotel in small town like Hue. Definitely high CP. it’s also the tallest building in Hue, guaranteeing great views in all rooms. There is a mall attached to the hotel with supermarket inside. Ask the front desk for eateries recommendations. And definitely get the buffet breakfast as it’s really good."

"The best hotel I have ever been to! They are so well organized!!!! Their attention to details is amazing! They contacted me several times before my arrival to make sure that they could provide me with all the accommodations and services I needed! The staff are very friendly and helpful, and at the same time they are not imposing themselves on you! Food was delicious, facilities are great, beautiful territory! I appreciate the free 30 minutes of spa! It was very relaxing! Special thanks to Claudia!!! Perfect hostess!"

"Very good value, and the service was actually awesome. We came with a bus at like 5am and the owner had a spare room for us to sleep in until we could check in into the proper room. I got food poisoning mid trip and the owners kid came up to my room with fruits and water a few times. They also let us watch the Vietnam - Thailand football match with them. Very nice place and it’s right in the middle of the city area"

"The location is a little outside of the main part of Hue and is more rural as a result. The drain did not properly work in the bathroom so the floor was wet for a very long time. I had multiple cockroaches and ants invade my bathroom products as there is a vented window that never closes. A decent spot for solo travelers, but warnings to those expecting a standard hotel experience. "

"Definitely the best experience we've had for a while. Scenery is great, services are top notch, the food is AMAZING. They started out as a restaurant, and now expanded into a resort, so that kinda explains. There're now 2 or 3 restaurants in the resort, serving both local and western cuisines. Breakfasts are free and can be ordered unlimitedly. We usually have heavy breakfasts in the place, then went out to explore the city and the street foods outside. On the last night, we had our dinner at one of their Vietnamese restaurant. And while it's obviously more expensive than the street foods, the portion and tastiness is also at another level. The staffs are very very nice. While check-in, we handed them our passports and that's probably how they noticed that one of our birthday is during the stay. So they gave us a bunch of vouchers/discount for their services. Even hand made a birthday cake as a gift! Wish we stayed longer, and 10/10 would visit again."

"The hotel is ok. The service is excellent and that's what makes it stand apart. The location overall is great, but it was difficult to find as it's in a back ally. Parking is on the street and you need to move the car in the middle of the night to avoid a parking ticket. We didn't try the breakfast as we had other plans, but the setup looked quite nice. The large bed is one that is actually 2 beds put together with a topper. This is a major issue. I understand why management would choose this as it provides more options to accommodate various guests, but the execution never works in any hotel. There's always a dip in the middle and the beds move apart in the middle of the night making sleeping a nightmare; we did not sleep well. This is also the first business (hotel, rest. etc.) that i have experienced in Vietnam that did not have a butt spray cleaner in the toilet area. We were disappointed with that. There is also a terrible cigarette smell in the hallways. It's par for the course for hotels in Asia to have this and I recognize the challenge hotels need to deal with; just unfortunate as the first impressions going up to the room were really effected by it. Cleaning the air and washing the carpets do help a little bit, but really the only way to overcome this is to replace the carpets completely and strictly enforce a no-smoking policy by the staff. Overall, the stay was ok. There is a lot of value for the money to be found here and the friendly staff are what really make the property worth a look, as is the convenience to the walking street for dinner and fun on the weekends."

"Great hotel with a beautiful view of the river. Polite and friendly service. Fantastic breakfasts, large selection of products. Very nice cleaning lady. The hotel itself has its glory days behind it, but it is clean and the service is good. Those who do not like noise should rent rooms on the river side. They will gain not only silence, but also a very beautiful view plus a balcony. It is noisy on the street side until midnight, because there are pubs in the vicinity of the hotel."

"Great hotel in a location full of restaurants and coffee places. The breakfast is good and varied and the rooms are spacious and confortable. We booked a city view room but the room had no view it was obstructed by a roof. I do not recommend bookings tours with them as they are very inflexible when it comes to tours, our experience was not good at all. But, the hotel itself is good."
