"The room was clean, well-equipped, and featured smart controls. Even the disposable toiletries were of excellent quality. I was particularly impressed by the two Zhuomas at the coffee shop; they were incredibly helpful. Especially Suoqu Zhuoma: I wasn't familiar with the laundry machines, and she enthusiastically offered her personal assistance with them, notifying me as soon as my clothes were clean. She even prepared a delicious coffee for me and brought some tasty snacks. The front desk also thoughtfully arranged some morning pastries, as I didn't have time for a full breakfast due to my flight schedule. It was truly a fantastic experience. If I return to Lhasa, I will definitely choose this hotel again; it genuinely made me feel right at home."

"This hotel is located right next to the entrance of Barkhor Street and Jokhang Temple, close to shopping and transportation to other places in Lhasa, so the location is perfect.
The service is the most impressive, my hotel room was facing the street and there was a loud speaker shouting all day and all night, I had to complaint to the hotel staff even though the speaker was not part of the hotel. They immediately negotiated with the the relevant people, and offered to switch my room to face away from the street. Also the hotel staff helped me to reserve the critical sites and train. I cannnot be more thankful for their help.
The room was big and they cleaned every day, they did a good job cleaning the room.
The onsite laundry facility was helpful too since I cannot affort to pay for laundry service.
All in all, I am very happy with the stay, and will return again if I come back to Lhasa."

"I saw this place online for a holiday trip and decided to check in. It didn't disappoint me. First of all, I really like the environment here. It's clean and sanitary. It's equipped with disposable towels and bath towels, which is very considerate. Secondly, the service is also very good. Free laundry, oxygen supply and humidification are turned on in advance (the most comfortable hotel I stayed in Tibet, the oxygen diffusion is in place, and the humidification is also in place). In short, I am very satisfied. I like the decoration style of this store very much. If you like Chinese and simple styles, you can go for it. Handmade ******* souvenirs: very heartwarming"

"The hotel is conveniently located near the Lhasa River, just a 10-15 minute walk from Barkhor Street and Jokhang Temple. The Potala Palace is only a minimum taxi fare away, and the internet-famous Cuom Liangfen (a type of cold noodle dish) is also just around the corner. I particularly enjoyed the hotel's courtyard; it was incredibly comfortable to sit there, sip tea, and unwind. The staff were very welcoming, always greeting guests warmly and even offering complimentary snacks like yak jerky. Both the rooms and bathrooms were equipped with heating, making showers completely comfortable without any worries of getting cold. We were so glad we chose to stay at this hotel upon returning to Lhasa after several days of exploring Tibet; it allowed us two days of much-needed rest and relaxation. We encountered many foreign and ********* guests during our stay, which is a testament to the hotel's good reputation."

Excellent
GGuest UserThe homestay is a century-old building in Lhasa. The interior decoration is very ******* and the overall facilities are modern. Oxygen machine, humidifier, dry and wet separated toilet... The waiter was very enthusiastic and presented Hada as soon as he entered the door, which was a sense of ceremony. The waiter Ci Ta took the initiative to help with the luggage, which was really helpful for me who lived on the second floor and had altitude sickness. I look forward to staying there next time. After the terrace is repaired, I can drink tea and be in a daze on the terrace. In addition, the breakfast was a bit simple, and it was cold if I went too late.

HhohotimVery satisfied with everything, the best is the customer service, always answer all questions.
Buy an oxygen tube for RMB 10/piece, and you can arrange an oxygen machine at the lobby bar to provide free oxygen.
There were sanitary defects, cigarette butts were found, we don't smoke as a family, but it was acceptable, the sprinkler pipe leaked, and the water pressure increased after cleaning.
Everything was cured by the warm customer service.

GGuest UserFree pick-up service from railway station or civil aviation bus station: will arrive at the station in advance and wait to receive the hotel
Facilities: complete and complete
Hygienic: clean and tidy
Environment: The environment has nothing to say. The room can see the panoramic view of the city and the night view of the Potala Palace. The aisle can see the mountain view.
Service: The service is very good. The young ladies at the front desk are very beautiful. They will also help write Tibetan.
GGuest UserThe room is very clean and hygienic.
The breakfast is good, with rich variety and spacious environment.
The bedding is very comfortable, clean and has no smell of smoke.
Oxygen is available 24 hours in the lobby, and hot drinks are welcome - Rhodiola in the lobby: I have not experienced these two.
Coke and Wanglaoji are free in the room.
It is worth noting that not all rooms have oxygen, and you need to book a ”room supply” room.
The hotel restaurant is also OK. The portion is large and the taste is good, suitable for those who don't want to walk out.

SSubhankar MukherjeeThe service is the worst of all hotels where we have stayed worldwide. It is worse than even any 1-star rated hotel in China. Right from the entry, the check in is chaotic. No one attends to luggage. It takes 2 hours to do formalities and return passports. In Room dining, the order is a huge challenge. They take 2 hours to take order and deliver the food after 1 hour, when they serve only the food in a plate. No seperate dishes or any cutliaries (spoon or fork or chopsticks ... nothing provided). When you point these out, they say sorry and take another 1 hour to bring plates, chop sticks etc. BY now 5 hours passed and food is so cold and not eatable. This is a regular scenario ... repeated 3 times, I.e. everything we placed an order. It's a huge challenge.
On amenities, the beds are extremely uncomfortable. If you just take a turn while sleeping, the other person is sure to wake up. They call king size bed .. it's two seperate beds kept side by side with cheap quality spring mattress.
On breakfast, it's very limited and every day same menu. No varieties, the food taste is horrible as well. Extremely bad experience.for the price that is paid. The feeling has been a complete waste of money, sleepless nights, staying hugry and waiting for food post order for 5.hours every time we ordered room dining. The same situation in restaurent as well.

GGuest UserThis hotel is a little gem in Lhasa. First of all, it’s got a lift, which is a must at high altitude. They offered us free breakfast for the first night, but when we requested breakfast for the next two nights (paying), they actually offered it for free as well. The breakfast room has amazing views of the Potala palace.
The beds are very comfortable. There is a large coffee table, a large leather stool and an armchair by the window. And that window has another stunning view over the palace (if you’re on the 5th floor). The bathroom has everything you need, including shower flip flops (although we brought and used our own pair). Toiletries were good too. There were also slippers for the room.
Another nice touch was that they would bring a fruit platter to the room every evening at 19:00. This included jujube, cherry tomatoes, clementines and pears. All brilliantly sweet.
The hotel is very close to the big attractions in Lhasa, including the aforementioned Potala palace, Jokhang monastery and Barkor Street.
And most importantly, they had oxygen in the bedroom. A must have!
Finally, the staff is very helpful. They helped us book a takeaway for dinner on our first night and organised the free breakfasts the next day.

GGuest UserThe hotel has ******* characteristics. Afternoon tea and small gifts are provided upon check-in. The service is also very good. The waiters AD and BW are very enthusiastic. Luggage is delivered to the room and oxygen tanks are provided for free. The breakfast is rich and of high quality, no different from Shangri-La hotels in first- and second-tier cities. It is basically dark here at 9 o'clock. It would be better if dinner could be delayed to 22:30. I will stay here again next time I come to Lhasa.
XXiaoyuebanjianghuI rarely write reviews, but I feel I must write one this time. Gesanghua Hotel has a beautiful and kind proprietress. She is quite young, thoughtful, warm and patient. We just arrived in Lhasa and were not very familiar with the itinerary. Later, we consulted the proprietress to avoid falling into the trap. You can also ask the proprietress to help buy performance tickets and travel packages. There are many discounts after comparison. I am also very satisfied with the arranged room. It is square, clean, with a humidifier, oxygen concentrator, and air conditioner. Every morning, the bright sunshine will shine into the room, making the cool morning warm all of a sudden. Living in a sunny room makes my altitude sickness much better.
The location of the hotel is also very good👍 It is convenient to go out for transportation. It takes a few minutes to walk to Jokhang City, Barkhor Street, and Jokhang Temple. It only takes 10 yuan to take Didi to the Potala Palace.
Warm service, clean room, convenient transportation, we will definitely stay in Gesanghua again next time.

GGuest UserThe hotel isn't to far from the Portola Palace (a short taxi trip). I wouldn't say its a true 4 star hotel.
The room was a good size, quiet and didn't smell of cigarette smoke. The room was a little worn out; I couldn't get the TV to work, the mirror on the wet bar area was cracked, there were marks to the walls where paintings/pictures had once been. Most annoying was the shower cubicle and the shower over the bath had only cold water! On my last morning the power was off in my area of the hotel and the lift was not working due to the power outage.
The hotel staff do not speak English, but one lady working on reception was especially nice and helpful and we were able to communicate by using the translation app.
There are lots of restaurants near by, but next time I think I'd prefer to stay closer to the Portola Palace.
ZZoe pang63It is located between Jokhang Temple and Potala Palace. There is a snack street downstairs with decent prices. I didn't go for the photo shoot in ethnic costumes that the hotel offered me. Firstly, I was too busy to go, and secondly, I should have gone for the photo shoot because I had other things to spend money on. So after discussing with my friends, I gave up. On the last night, I asked the front desk for Rhodiola rosea tea, but it was not delivered. I feel that this 4-star hotel is just so-so. I upgraded the room, but when I opened the window, there was just a wall 😅 Forget it!
