One of the best resorts I’ve ever stayed at. The food and drinks were fantastic, the beaches stunning, and the service exceptional. I’d gladly come back again.

The experience of staying at Sanchaya is so fabulous, impressed me deeply. The Ratree is very comfortable and lovely. The service and support from the whole team are very nice and promptly. I really love the smile of them, very sincerely and warmly. And aslo the foods in the dining room are very delicious, I really like the Indonesian foods, high quality. The hotel has beautiful lake and many lush trees, walking in the garden is so enjoyable. I am enjoying the moment at the library, peaceful and joyful. The time to circle around the lake is unforgettable to us, the best time to circle is the late of afternoon, the sunset above the lake is shocked me. Thank you guys, looking forward to staying here again.

We recently returned from a five-night holiday in Bintan and stayed at your hotel for the last three nights (nights 3, 4, and 5). While we were happy to secure a room for those dates, we encountered two issues during our stay that we feel should be brought to your attention— in the hope that they can be improved for future guests. 1. Room Consistency & Communication Due to high demand, the same room type we booked for nights 3 and 4 was no longer available for night 5. As a result, we had to book a different room type for the final night, all paid in advance. When we checked in, we explained to the front desk staff that we would prefer to stay in the same room for all three nights, and we were willing to pay any price difference if necessary. The staff member said they would check and get back to us—but we never heard anything further. Admittedly, we also forgot to follow up. However, we assumed that no news meant we could remain in the same room. The next day at noon, we received a sudden call requesting us to check out immediately, which completely disrupted our day’s plans and led to a rushed and stressful move. We even left some personal items behind in the process. In the future, we would greatly appreciate clearer follow-up from hotel staff—whether or not a room change is possible, please confirm with guests either way rather than leaving the matter unresolved. 2. Villa Room Maintenance On the last night, we moved to a villa. Unfortunately, during our shower we discovered that the drainage system was severely clogged. Water from the shower area didn’t drain properly, and water even backed up from under the sink and around the toilet. This was not only inconvenient, but honestly quite unpleasant. While your staff did eventually help us resolve the issue, it significantly affected our overall experience and left a negative final impression. We chose your hotel with high expectations and understand that busy periods can lead to service challenges. But with a bit more proactive communication and better room maintenance, we believe the guest experience can be much improved. Thank you for taking the time to read our feedback.

We were very pleased with our experience at The Sanchaya! Greg and his staff were so hospitable we felt comfortable and at ease from the moment we arrived at the Ferry Terminal. The service and facilities were excellent..from the room service to the dining areas. Movie Choices were so updated and wide. Good quality toiletries and snacks in the room minibar We had a little miscommunication about a service fee and were so grateful that they patiently hear us out and resolved it quickly. Thank you Greg, Nawa, Madon, Wawan, Vivi and all the staff at The Sanchaya for a memorable stay!

Service was excellent. Staff are very friendly. Beach is beautiful, cleaned thoroughly. Rooms are beautiful. Food is tasty. Highly recommend, will go back again!

The hotel and its facilities are very nice. Here and there a few spots of improvements needed but otherwise a very attractive hotel with lovely features. A very pleasant stay starts with a dedicated lounge at the ferry terminal which is available upon arrival and departure (taking care of your visa and other requirements). Travel to the actual hotel is within short 20 minutes by hotel shuttle bus. You can chose between colonial style suites at the main building or near by or Thai/ Bali style villas on the large ground and a short walk away from the main building. The Thai villas are very nice, filled with all the necessary amenities and some top of the range products. Plenty of storage space, outdoor veranda seating and well kept exterior make it really nice. At the main section, the pool is with its 50 meter in length a true highlight, together with the very easy and close proximity to the pristine and huge beach section. Although facing north, the beach is actually in a bay and can be explored for hours. Also well worth mentioning is the spa which provides truly amazing treatments administered by very experienced therapists who will truly pamper you from start to finish. Regrettably, there are also a number of shortcomings. Although the hotel provides insect repellant for your daily use, even the best of preventions and best of cleaning/ spraying efforts of the staff will not stop billions of sand flees attacking you on the beach, especially after rain or during the evening hours when you become their dinner. However, the biggest drawback is the food and beverage section. For a hotel operating in such a high price category, the restaurant is a true letdown perhaps even the sole reason for not coming back again. Yes staff everywhere is very friendly, attentive and making it their business to know you by your first name from the start, but the entire food and beverage section requires a lot of improvements to even get close to a star rated service. Yes the drinks are well made (guess can be expected at prices of US$20 plus) but the restaurant service truly lacks what it takes. The food, expensive as it is, lacks any sort of imagination, is void of any special touches, and surely does not represent Indonesian cuisine in any shape or form. As said, staff are very friendly and trying their best however, if they are not taught the basics or led by indifferent managers, then things need to change. Management comes from the top. In summary, if you are looking for a nice place to relax in a colonial style building, not too crowded with a lovely pool, then please try the Sanchaya. However, if you looking for cuisine which is anything but poor, not even ordinary, then you better look elsewhere.

I had the best experience ever. The staff is professional and super friendly! They cater to your needs and even remembers your preferences and dietary restrictions, throughout the stay.

There is no doubt that this is the best resort in Bintan Island. The resort is designed in a high-end style with beautiful scenery. The villa is very unique and secluded, so it is very suitable for family and parent-child travel. I will come back in the future.

The beautiful and quiet environment and friendly and enthusiastic service left us a deep impression~ I am looking forward to coming here for vacation again next time~By the way, across the road from the hotel is a lake, very quiet and beautiful🤩In the last picture. It takes about 2 hours to walk around.

The room is nice. The 178-square-meter suite is the first choice for families. One room is a king-size bed room, and the other room is two twin beds. Breakfast is the highlight, with a la carte breakfasts from various countries. The chef comes to promote the dinner of the day every morning. I talked to the chef and he came from Four Seasons Singapore. There are two things I can't stand the most: First, there is no real bottled water in the room. I don't know if it is environmentally friendly or cost-saving. They are all refilled in glass bottles. Given that Indonesians have poor hygiene habits, I really dare not drink it. Second, the hair dryer in my mother's room is still broken for a hotel that costs 9,000 RMB a night. I was too lazy to wait, so I had to share a hair dryer, and it was an old-fashioned hair dryer. My hair is very long, and I have to blow it for a long time after swimming and taking a bath. The room that costs 9,000 RMB a night should at least use a dyson. It's desperate to blow my hair every day. The hotel is not big, but the environment is first-class and the photos are first-class. The waiter Nawa is very good at taking photos and is professional.

Overall, I am very satisfied with the environment. The service is very thoughtful. It would be better if the breakfast had more varieties.

Recording a staycation resort - Sanchaya in Bintan Island. Although the one-hour boat ride almost made me suffer from seasickness, it was all worth it. It is really an incomparable place. The manager said that the hotel has 30 rooms but 150 employees. With such a ratio, there is no need to worry about the quality of service. (The hotel has a private exclusive lounge at the Bintan Island Pier. You don’t have to go through customs by yourself. It is very suitable for lazy people).

The environment is very good and the hotel is well maintained. The restaurant is also very good. It is a relaxing and pleasant vacation, and it is pleasant both physically and mentally. Every waiter knows our name and greets us. We can add two beds when we bring two children. Everyone rests well. I highly recommend it👍
