Mercure Hotel Berlin City West

It is a hotel a little from the centre of the city but next to a metro station so easy to get around. It is more of a business man hotel as it is next door to a multi national company in Siemens and the metro strop is called Siemensdamm. Very good breakfast rooms are a good size. We had issues with bookings regarding breakfast and city tax but the hotel honoured the booking and found it strange that city tax had already been paid. If you intend to stay at this hotel and go sightseeing I would buy days passes and then it does not matter. There is a supermarket across the road from the Hotel but restaurants are limited. the hotel has a bar if you like to sit around and have a drink.

Hotel super confortável, os quartos limpos tudo bem alinhado, a localização no centro perto de bares e restaurantes, o café da manhã deveria ser mais caprichado mas valeu a pena me hospedar

Location is great. The room is spacious even with a balcony. The room has a safe and fridge Which is we need. The toilet and bathroom are separate, Which is good for a family to share the room. The coffee machine is not clean enough.

I have chosen a two bed room and got a very spacious room, very well equipped, comfortable and clean. The hotel staff was very kind and helpful. Hotel is very well located in Neuköln, close to Kreuzköln, to subway station, to nice restaurants, cafés and local stores and to Tempelhof park.

The room is smaller than I expected, but the facilities are useful. It would be better if there is a small refrigerator. After all, you usually stay in Berlin for a few days. The front desk is also more enthusiastic and takes the initiative to smile and say hello.

The hotel is in a very good location. I booked 2 nights in total. On the first day, the hotel gave me a beautiful city view with floor-to-ceiling windows. On the second day, I changed rooms because I booked separately. I was given a room near the end of the corridor. Unfortunately, at 8:00 and 10:00 in the morning, someone took a key (not a room card but a key) and opened my door (without knocking). The second time, I lay on the bed without clothes. Fortunately, I covered myself with a quilt. The room was very small and the door was facing the bed. The outside could see clearly. I was scared and called the front desk immediately. When I checked out, the front desk apologized and said that room service should not open the door without knocking. I stayed in 2 different hotels in Germany for three days, and the doors were opened without knocking in the morning. I wonder if this is normal in German hotels? ? It's terrible and not suitable for solo travelers.
