Spa Hotels in Beppu

The room with the onsen was convenient and offered a great experience. It was spacious enough for three adults with large suitcases, and the futon was very comfortable. Dinner was excellent as well. A wonderful place to stay! The staff was amazing, reaching out a week before our check-in to ask about our group and dinner preferences. We were so happy with our stay. Everything is just perfect , from the arrival welcome drinks and the staff are nice. The Onsen is also beautiful. One thing is not good is the flashing on top of the ceiling is quite annoying for people who don’t like any light during sleep. If it can be improve, say can switch off during night time. Probably it’s a perfect hotel for family vacation!

The hotel environment is good. The hotel room faces the sea. The price is reasonable. One hotel and two meals. There are different restaurants every day. The food in the restaurant is of good quality. It is very close to Hell Valley. There are Starbucks and KFC opposite the hotel.

It is the newest and modern hotel in Beppu Station Area. It just take 5mins walk to the station. The rooftop swimming pool is really nice with a good night view of Beppu, the hot springs is good too. I like the semi buffet breakfast, you can choose Japanese or western main dishes, and lots of tasty side dishes in the buffet area. Last but not least, good value for money!

The hotel design is very unique, and the room planning is outstanding, offering large and comfortable spaces for both sleeping and general relaxation. The private onsen has 2 large glazed doors that open directly to the private terrace, plus a full width and height glazing, enabling the feeling of enjoying an external onsen. The staff can communicate well in English and is very friendly and helpful. The one observation that the hotel management can review is on the lighting in the luggage space, it is sensor operated, as one needs to organize the luggage for sometimes, the short duration of lighting on is not sufficient for the packing, please consider having the lighting be changed to manual operation. Otherwise, well done.

It takes a little over 2 hours by Sonic Express train from Fukuoka Hakata Station to Beppu Station. And Beppu hotel check-in is at 3pm. Then it would be a good idea to have lunch in Fukuoka and then take the train in the afternoon. So, in the morning, I went to Mutsukato on the 5th floor of Amu Plaza at Hakata Station and started with a sandwich and coffee. After eating, I went to Geumja Optical Shop on the 7th floor of the same building to look at glasses. I really liked the small, Kim Gu-style glasses that I liked, but they were expensive. Jins Glasses on the 5th floor is cheap, but I don't like it. Finally, I took the Sonic Express from Hakata Station and arrived at Beppu Station two hours later. Go out from the side exit and walk for 10 minutes to arrive at Nogami Honkan. Although the facility is old, it is cleanly maintained and the owner is friendly. Because the room is made of tatami mats, it has a peculiar jeep-like smell. I had a hard time sleeping on the first day, but I slept well on the second day, probably because I was tired. Pay 500 yen for 50 minutes in the family bath and relax. Near the hotel, there are Toyo-san and Doraya, which sell Japanese set meals, and I went to both. It’s a delicious restaurant. The cost-effectiveness is also very good. If you like a tatami room, go here.

The room (dormitory) was very clean. Since I used to live in Beppu, I often used the cafe, but I'm glad I stayed here! There is a shower in the large bath (about medium size), and it is not a stand-alone shower like you would find in a hostel, so some people may not like it, but it is very nice to be able to soothe your tired body ♨️ The temperature is quite warm. I think it was about 42-3℃. Also, it's close to the Kitahama bus center, so you won't have any trouble going out. It's a bit of a walk from Beppu Station, but it takes about 5 minutes. Furthermore, since the sea is nearby, we highly recommend grabbing some takeout and taking a walk!　 Regarding this photo, I did not take any photos inside the guest room (dormitory) because I thought there was privacy. The exterior, restrooms, walking around (I bought Tomonaga bread!), and the front desk. Sorry for the strange order.

You can see the sunrise from the room, and the private hot spring in the room is great and comfortable. There are activities and a lot of free food in the hotel in the evening, and the hotel employees are also very generous with gifts. Two meals per stay, breakfast and dinner are also in the hotel. The lobster sashimi for dinner is delicious and the service staff is very good. After dinner, they gave us a special anniversary gift, which was very heartwarming. Highly recommend this relaxing hotel.

We changed room type when we got to the hotel (from Seaside Maisonette to one of the Tower apartments) and this was seamlessly offered to us by the night staff. Service is top notch. Great for families. The food is wonderful and there is private onsen in every single room. Highly recommend for families of up to 4 persons to stay in the tower apartments. They are very new and well furnished.

I made a reservation after checking 2 adults and 2 children when making a reservation, but upon arrival, an unexpected child fee + bathing tax of 6,282 yen was charged, so please keep that in mind if you are traveling with children. Parking is free, the garden hot springs were closed, and the African safari was 15 minutes away. also There was no personal heating when I slept, so it was very tiring. The monsoon was strong and I was shivering all night. It was so cold that my condition suddenly deteriorated, and breakfast wasn't to my liking either. A place I wouldn’t recommend for other cost-effective hotels ㅠ.ㅠ
