This hotel was the perfect base for us to explore the city. The rooms were big and perfectly clean, with comfy beds. Staff was very friendly, and were very efficient to help retrieve a phone I forgot in the taxi. Communication is mostly with a translation device, which worked perfectly fine.
Special mention for the extensive breakfast buffet, which was the perfect introduction to Chinese flavors for us. Can definitely recommend staying here!
I booked a day on the platform and planned to stay there. I was very satisfied. I renewed the reservation.
Advantages:
1. Very clean! I am very picky about hotels. I will directly swipe away any hotel that has bad reviews about hygiene. But this hotel has no decoration smell, no backwater smell, no bugs, no mosquitoes with screens, no smoke smell in the room, and the quilts and pillows are as white as new. The cabinets, tables and chairs are very clean.
2. Secondly, the pillows and beds are comfortable. I am a person who basically can't sleep well when traveling on business, but this hotel has two kinds of pillows, one may be a cotton pillow and the other is a latex pillow. I slept very well.
3. Most importantly, the service is good. There are several staff members at the front desk. I went to them very late and patiently answered questions. They work very hard and are very polite. The aunt in the restaurant is also very polite. The details of the room are reflected in the fact that there are paper cranes on each bed, bags of easy-to-use laundry detergent in each bathroom, and disinfectant wipes on the toilet.
Disadvantages that are not considered disadvantages
1. Style. The style is retro, so it may look a bit old and dirty. But in fact, even the small book placed by the bed is dust-free. The phone is old-fashioned. If you don't know how to use it, you may dislike it, but it's interesting to experience it.
2. Location. It's a little hard to find. The taxi stop is usually at the exit of the alley (it seems that there is a closer one, but if you fill in the hotel name directly, it will be at the location I mentioned). If it's too late, it's a bit scary to walk in the alley. But in fact, there are cameras, it's very safe, and the navigation is very clear. It may be only four or five hundred meters away, which is acceptable.
3. There is a ventilation sound in the room, but it doesn't affect sleep.
I didn't want to write a review, because I was afraid that more people would come and I wouldn't be able to book it in the future, and I was also afraid that more people would come and not cherish it and make it dirty. But I think the efforts of the staff should be seen, and good things should be shared and affirmed. Seeing many foreign friends coming, I hope that more domestic and foreign tourists and friends on business trips can come and stay here. This is the style of the alley, and feel China in the 1990s. It will be a perfect choice.

My mom is currently visiting China for the first time. We spent the weekend in Beijing over the Qing Ming holiday and my mom absolutely loved this hotel. From the furnishings to the comfy atmosphere of a time gone by. This hotel is located in a Hutong area with easy access to Lama temple and Beixinqiao subways, main attraction spots including Wudaoying hutong area, Lama temple and Confucius Temple. The staff were lovely, we flew in late and enjoyed congee soon our arrival. The rooms were stocked with free snacks and water and the facilities were clean and well maintained. We would love to return in the future!

Great location, just that it was in a small alley behind the Dashilan main street so it's kinda scary if you're travelling alone.
Loved the free breakfast, where you have to redeem from a shop a very short walk away.
The supper was bad though, did not get to choose what we wanted like the other outlets but were pre-packed instead.
Free washer & dryer! <3

Wonderful experience! The service staff was patient and friendly, went all the way out to help!! Thoughtful amenities such as heat packs, wine opener, etc, etc were provided, beyond the standard stuff you get in normal hotels. Breakfast quality was ok with a good spread.
