Hotels near Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, Beijing

The hotel may be a little far from the metro but still within walking distance from the main tourist attractions (Tiananmen and whatnot) in Beijing. Good spread of items for the breakfast buffet. Perhaps try to avoid staying on level two where there’s a hotpot restaurant. Didn’t like the smell coming out from there. Robot sends amenities to the room upon request from some device in the room (there’s no phone but all’s good). Check in is at level 8 where you’ll get a birds eye view of the forbidden city. 24h snacks and fruits free of charge there too, nice to chill. They have a gym and automated luggage storage at b2.

Hotel is in a great location, just off the Wangfujing Pedestrian Street. The entrance is very tricky and the lobby shares the building entrance with a courier company. The hotel floors are on the 5th and 6th floors of a mixed use building. The lifts are smelly and stuffy, as the building cleaners use the same lifts to haul out huge stinky bags of garbage. The hotel floors are decent enough. The beds are comfortable and towels plush. However, housekeeping should do a better job of removing grout around bathroom fixtures and the room had an odd smell on our first night. Our room had a faulty shower. Even after the plumber fixed it, we weren’t able to have hot enough water but we just made do with it. Service at the front desk varies. Some are good while others not so. The only male front desk receptionist we encountered made extra efforts to ensure our hot water was functioning again by dropping by twice to follow up and even drying our wet floor himself.

We had a very good stay; the staff is very friendly and the pool is a highlight, especially for families.

The hotel location is fantastic, which can access most of the tourist spots within the metro. There are lots of restaurants nearby. The only stepback is that the hotel decoration is tired and the laundry machine service is expensive. They are charging you differently based on the consuming time! You can reach the hotel by line 2 & 5 and exit H to reach the hotel.

The hotel location is awesome with lots of famous food and places around , such as 四季民福 北京烤鸭，炸酱面，九门轩，稻香村，Beijing APM Especially only 10-15mins walking distance to forbidden city 故宫 Staff all were very friendly and helpful , the hotel buffet breakfast is good with lots of local food you might have a chance to try Only to recommend select a room with window for better air flow , the last night on my stay the room was extremely hot and humid caused by the air flowing system although the hotel staff had provide extra cooling machine Others ,jAll exceeded my expectations

Air-conditioning is the first reason we picked this hotel! We heard and read a lot of reviews mentioning that many hotels in Beijing and Shanghai haven't normally operated the cooling air-conditioning at night (or maybe during the daytime as well) even some day it's over 25c. (Only fan provided upon request at some hotel.) Another reason is that the hotel just did the big renovation, so guestrooms with bigger room size and without carpet couldn't be better! :D However, the room we got upgraded is a Deluxe room on the 1st floor where is connected to hotel lobby, guest toilet, and main entrance for all guests to pass by. Also, it's connected to an outdoor garden including smoking area. Even the request for a non-smoking room placed but couldn't help at this stage. Location: 4.5 (3-5mins from Ciqikou station cross the street or 5-8mins to Chongwenmen station) *For main entrance, pls notice the building wrapped with orange sticker. Room: 4.5 (Spacious, smart room with new modern design, great water pressure) Cleanliness: 5 Amenities: 4 (4 bottles of drinking water daily, tea & coffee plus small biscuits. No toothbrush, shower cap, comb, shaving kit) Buffet Breakfast: 4.5 (Cover all basic lines; Chinese, small Western corner (with no choice for egg) Staff: 3.85 (Some tried to help out but some not. We checked-in pretty late ard 6pm but said the room wasn't ready. That could probably be the reason why we got the room upgraded. Google translation app needed) Surrounding: 3.5 (a bakery shop in front of the hotel, some of chain restaurants/bakery shops in a building opposite the hotel. A few big dept stores, restaurants, coffee shops can be found around Chongwenmen station)

Pro: - The hotel locate really close to the WangFuJing shopping street. - The staff is really helpful and attentive. They'll try to help you even they cannot speak english. - Free self-service washing machine and dryer with free detergent included. - Fitness and Kid play room available. Cons: - The air conditioner is not work well for my room. - The hotel locate really close to the pedestrian street. So, it might be difficult when you want to get a ride from DiDi. It might took sometime to get a driver. - The hotel have two side of the building. My friend's room on the otherside of mine have low water pressure.

Great location, beautiful garden and clean our room every day. Extended stay.They have an air cleaning unit in our room that can adjust the humidity. Very nice breakfast too.

This was my second stay in a month at Baifuyi. The first time was two weeks ago, I took a domestic flight from this hotel to Daxing airport. This time I returned to Beijing from Daxing airport and took an international flight at the capital airport. In short, it is close to both airports in Beijing. It's also close to the city center. I got off the plane just over 2pm and took the subway to the hotel just over 4pm. In the evening, when the traffic is busiest, take a ride to Houhai to have dinner and a night out. The taxi fare is only over 30 yuan a trip, indicating that the road is not far. Back to the hotel at night is by subway. 🚇 On the way we went to the Ginza Mall to buy some fruit 🍎 and drink. it was less than ten o'clock we were back to the hotel. It's as if in this hotel, after getting off the plane, you can enjoy the beauty of Beijing immediately. And this time because we have one more person, five of us. We got an apartment suite. The two-bedroom, three-bathroom suite is newly renovated, well equipped and very clean. There is a large two-door fridge, a fully automatic washing machine, and a microwave and gas oven. There is more than 100 square meters of space for five of us, more than enough. It was originally planned for five people to book two hotel rooms. Now it is more affordable and convenient to book a suite. 👍 The rooms all have balconies and large glass flooring, so you don't have to go outside and see the beautiful scenery of Beijing. The excellence of the customer service was also one of the reasons we chose to come back. Whether I'm in China or abroad, I prefer to book a hotel rather than a bed and breakfast when I travel. Although the hotel is more expensive, there are strict government regulations on fire prevention, burglary and hygiene. Stay at peace of mind in a hotel. I don't think B & B will tell you about the floor plans and escape routes. But it is a must for all star-rated hotels. The advantages of a bed and breakfast are spacious and convenient. At Baifuyi in Beijing, we enjoyed the delicate luxury of the star-rated hotels and the spacious and relaxing nature of the B & B.

Pros - convenient location right beside metro station and shopping mall. Line 10 goes to many tourist sites either direct or with just 1 change. Strong WiFi (but blocked by company security app for those using Ms outlook). Strong hot shower pressure. Clean room with no smoking stench. Cons - in Oct room air con can only be set at 25 degrees lowest level so room feels a bit warm at times. Toilet seat no bidet (common in Shanghai). Personally don't like bed pushed against the window. Windows is very near to opposite block so have to remained closed at all times else or no privacy.
