Orange Hotel (Beijing Tiananmen) Reviews

Terrible and overpriced hotel, not consistent with other Orange hotels. Lobby extremely small with single overcrowded elevator, leading to very small room even with ‘queen size’. Bed has no proper mattress, so is very uncomfortable. To get to shower you have to climb over the toilet. AC randomly turns off overnight. Cramped, unpleasant and not maintained with heavy cosmetic damage to walls and furniture.

Clean, small, modern, functional room. For me as European the breakfast was not very varied, mostly Chinese dishes. Also, no real lobby or place to sit outside your room. Good for a short one or max 2 night stay to visit highlights of Beijing but for longer stay where you would like some hotel comfort would not really recommend.

Bring your kids to watch the flag-raising ceremony, find a hotel closer to Tiananmen Square, the front desk lady is pretty and gentle, the most important room is clean and comfortable, the area is indeed small, but this location is very expensive, which is completely understandable. When checking out, the front desk lady also gave the kids a small gift, which made me very happy. I will choose Orange Hotel next time
