Love this hotel! Everything is rather dated but that adds to the charm of the place. We booked a business suite for five nights and it was like home away from home, but better because of a bathtub! There was a large living room with decent furniture and wardrobes, a small kitchen with oven, microwave, and fridge freezer, a washing machine tucked in a corner near the small but functional bathroom, and there was a large balcony with views to the adjacent compound. The bed was large and comfortable, we slept well. There was a faint hum of traffic from the nearby highway but not a problem. We stayed in 1102 which is on the east side of the building. Staff were friendly and everything was very clean, breakfast was simple Chinese food. We hired bicycles to travel the 10 minute journey to Jiandemen metro. If you want to feel like a foreign expert staying in Beijing two or three decades ago this is the place, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

Spacious and clean. Room are outdated but beds had clean sheets. Pool and gym were out of service.

The room had kitchen, but NO any amenities for cooking. Microwave didn't work. Good breakfast. 15 minutes walk to metro stations.

The worst service and hotel condition I have ever had in living in China.

Hotel old, inside number all night was sound from air condition, and I can’t sleep well. Everywhere smell like inside ashtray 😣 Don’t recommend this hotel. Better chose other one, good luck 🍀

Booked this for a friend. If it wasn't for the fact that it was close to my home, I probably wouldn't have chosen Wai Zhuan. It was a really good hotel 10 years ago. Whether it was for friends or business, Wai Zhuan would be booked. Now Wai Zhuan really needs to be rebuilt. The facilities are old and the service awareness is poor, except for the security brother at the door who is a rare warm-hearted person.

There is a kitchen and a washing machine! The facilities are outdated and the location is so-so. If the purpose is to travel, it is not recommended. Personally, I probably won’t stay at this hotel again. It should be a hotel. 

The Foreign Language Expert Building where I stayed this time was really great! From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I felt full of care. The front desk staff was friendly and enthusiastic, and the check-in procedure was fast and efficient. The room was very warm and comfortable, the bedding was soft and clean, and it was super comfortable to sleep on. The facilities were complete, and it was very convenient to live in. The hotel's catering was also very good, the taste was superb, and the variety was rich. The overall experience was excellent, and I highly recommend it to everyone!

After reading other reviews, I was a little nervous about checking in, but I was unexpectedly very satisfied with the room type. I brought my children with me, and I mainly liked the fact that there was a kitchen and living room. The decoration was a bit old, but it was acceptable and I was still very satisfied!
