7 Days Premium Hotel (Beijing Gulou Houhai) Reviews

The hotel is very convenient for the price and useful for us. However the worst thing about it is the bad smell , it is there all the time. No matter we left the window 24h open, the smell never goes away. I suggest bringing in some incense. I believe the curtains were the problem, perhaps they need to be washed and of course the sewing in the bathroom. Overall it is very affordable for the location so it’s not a huge deal breaker but it can be improved. Thank you !

When I arrived, the room smelled of cigarette and the whole hotel looks dilapidated. See pictures. When I asked to be changed room, they gave me a cheaper room without giving me a discount. The room had a window with the view of the laundry room, which was on all night and so can sleep. Very loud. They also lied to me. They gave me that room saying there are no other available rooms but on the website it said there are plenty of other rooms available. Poor service thankfully the app gave me the refund. Avoid if possible. 房间环境非常差，靠近洗衣房，噪音大，看得见的地方都这么敷衍，看不见的地方会是什么样. 前台给换了低级房也没有告知差价，体验极差，建议避免

I had an amazing stay. I have to praise the staff for their kindness and readiness to help. I arrived at 8am and they quickly cleaned the only free room to allow me to check in early. Also, it was an upgraded room and did not overcharge me even if I told them I was willing to pay. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. Location is great, in the middle of a quiet hutong but very close to the drum tower with many bars and restaurants and with easy access to the subway.

Good hotel for the price ! Not fancy but enough for what we needed, to sleep and be close to the bus to go the great wall

The environment and sanitation are OK. Two 1.2-meter beds can accommodate a family of three. There are food streets all around. The price is very reasonable for this location. You can walk to Nanluoguxiang along the hutong. It is not far from the Bell Tower, Shichahai, and Prince Gong's Mansion. The subway is also convenient. You can also experience the culture of the old Beijing hutong

Friends who want to experience the atmosphere of fireworks come here (check in at the hotel at 5:30 pm to rest. From 5:30 to 6:00 pm, there was constant chattering outside the window. It was impossible to rest at all. After all, it is still daytime and it is impossible to say that it is particularly quiet. But I can hear the content of other people’s calls clearly. I am still the farthest from the window. It seems that they are talking in my ear [At that time, my family also said to change rooms and mentioned it to the front desk (the front desk said that it would be noisy during the day, but it would be fine at night 🙂🙂🙂) There was a slight noise when I went back at 9 pm. It was very quiet at 10 pm. It started to be noisy at 7 am and continued until the neighbor went out at 8 pm] After entering the room, I don’t know why there were always small flying insects lingering (I shot three or four of them to death. At that time, I felt that I had just checked in and didn’t take pictures. I thought it was because of the gap in the screen window that flew in 🙂🙂🙂) In the end, I found out that it seemed to be because of the room. I only stayed for one night I don’t want to say much. The most amazing thing happened in the morning. At 7am, I heard a kid saying “What are you doing?” 🙂🙂🙂 Let me ask you, what do you mean? At 7am, I can understand that he wants to go out and play early. It doesn’t matter if you shout a few words, but what does “What are you doing” mean for half an hour? I look like I have a good temper? 🙃🙃🙃 I even heard knocking on the door in the morning (not sure if it was my door🚪) The walls are very thin. Basically, you can hear the noises of several rooms around you in your room. If you are in a 200 or 300 hotel in Beijing, I won’t say anything. After all, you get what you pay for. The key is that you spent 600 and this is it🥲🥲🥲 Is this right? My baby who sleeps lightly may not sleep well. There was a red light on the charging port all the time. I don’t know why. I blocked it the whole time. There won’t be a next time. I chose it based on the 7 Days Inn chain, and this is the result 🙂🙂🙂
