The room is fair. But the location Barking is a bit uncomfortable. You might worried about your safety in the area especially at night. Also if you need hair dryer you have to borrow from the reception.

The front desk staff were excellent and understood my needs. The room was neat and clean and very accessible.Food was great with much variety. Everything was up to modern standards.

When you book ask for a room at the rear of the hotel, otherwise you will have a lot of noise from the outside road. Very clean, and comfortable budget hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The local area does not have many restaurants, shops, pubs etc. The underground train station is a 15 minute walk away and there are very good underground trains into central London. Excel is easily accessible on the underground and Docklands Light Railway, A good car park is available which charges £10 for 24 hours,

Bathroom was spacious, but room where the bed is not much room to move around. Instructions getting to room were not very clear. Took us a while to find our room. Well what can I say about breakfast, it was Crap. Paid for breakfast and only had a coffee and glass of orange juice both days between 2 of us. Not much variety, cereal had all gone, asked for some more and got ignored, no butter for toast just other condiments like jam, marmalade etc.

They seriously took the budget word in their rooms. Very small rooms and there was no bin in the room. The location was too far from the city centre. Also, underground and station was 15-20 minutes drive from the hotel. It's best for one night stay.

The best experience so far in any London Hotel. Ana was extremely friendly and hospitable. The room was soothing and I had heavy and deep sleep. The trees view behind my window was very good. The walk from Barking station to the property, though a bit long was very interesting because of the activities on the way. Will definitely come back

I stayed at the Ibis over the weekend and was extremely disappointed. The main reason I booked was because the room was advertised with air conditioning — but when I arrived, the AC was completely broken. Given how hot the weather was, this made the room incredibly uncomfortable and ruined my entire stay. To make matters worse, I was promised a fan as an alternative, but it was never provided. I reported the issue, but nothing was resolved and there was no follow-up. The basic expectation of a hotel is a comfortable environment — this failed on that front. No food or service can make up for a room you can’t sleep in. Would not recommend unless they guarantee working facilities and better customer care.

The bed was uncomfortable, kept waking up due to the level of comfort of pillows and mattress and the amount of noise outside of the room, despite asking for a quiet room.

Despite the location, the hotel is actually very comfortable to stay. The reception was very helpful and everything works perfectly. I had a great stay there it is just that it takes over an hour to go to the city center.
