Dambulla Hotels with Bars

We visited this hotel as part of our 9 day Sri Lanka tour. We received a warm welcome from everyone; the Manager, Yoga teacher and reception staff. There is a wonderful view of Sigiriya rock from the reception area. We were given a tour of the grounds and villa by our lovely Butler Dinuka who was superb throughout our stay. The accommodation was specious, well designed and very clean. Our breakfasts and dinners throughout were excellent and always served with a smile by our lovely waiter Salindu. The grounds are spacious and extremely peaceful, in fact the only noise you hear are from the peacocks. We would definitely have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and intend to return. Thank you to everyone who helped to make our stay so memorable.

This is the best and best hotel to stay in during your stay in Lanka! The entire hotel is in a mango garden, the environment is very beautiful! The hotel is also very clean and the service is in place. The breakfast was very good and the place to eat was great! Overlooking the pool and a large green area, it is simply a beautiful experience. The environment is fragrant, and there are nights at night. The security is also very good. Especially on the second day because of the urgency, my lover put some valuables in the room, our bags are already on the way to Nuvo, and it has been open for 20 minutes. After suddenly thinking about the amount, the DILI driver was very enthusiastic to help the hotel call, the other party sent someone to say that they were still in the room, and then rushed back to the hotel to take it, which was a sigh of relief. Thank you for the hotel! In addition, this hotel room is to be locked with a key, not directly locked to the door, this should be noted. After we checked in, I went to Lion Rock after cleaning up. When my lover locked the door, I brought it directly to the door. When I came back, I opened the door with a single push. Fortunately, nothing was lost. This shows that this hotel is really ok. Of course, if you have to live in this hotel, you still have to keep your belongings safe. There is a safe in the room.

The hotel is right next to the cave temple and you can walk past it, which is very convenient. The hotel can report to Lion Rock for a group tour, or charter a car to Lion Rock, and then go to the ancient city. The price is billed in US dollars.

Kalundewa retreat is a beutiful place designed preserving the nature. The service provided is also as expected and the food was also tasty. Staff is also nice and friendly and is always available for anything you need. We stayed at karanda chalet and the chalet was also spacious enough. The garden is also well maintained and overall it’s a beutiful place. Few recommendations that is better if done. 1. On top of the karanda chalet outdoor pool it’s a tree with lots of bats. As nature calls their feces also sometimes fall into the pool and a lot of leaves too fall into the pool. We are very happy to see the pool in the middle of nature but having a dip and swimming in that outdoor pool is a bit risky.. so we didnt swim. If you can please clean the pool as much as possible before the guests arrive and try to come up with an idea to cover the pool when not in use. 2. So many glasses at karanda chalet are at a location that is not possible to clean daily.. clean them as much as possible and try to clean the outdoor glass doors before the next guest arrives ( so they have a crystal clear view through the glasses) 3. When we arrived a lot of leaves were fallen on the outdoor deck and the day bed cushions were not cleaned. I understand that according to the location of the karanda chalet if is very hard to keep it clean with the monkeys and the massive amount of large trees on top of it but I feel you can give a bit more effort to clean and keep to give a good looking first impression about the chalet to the guests. Please clean the outdoor day bed cushions and keep them separately so the guests can use them when needed ( otherwise the monkeys sit on them and make it dirty) 4. Bathroom is nice but being a five star hotel the bathroom amneties could have been of better quality. When ever possible please replace them to a luxury category. Also please keep up with your service. We had a nice stay there.

Wir waren im Tepraas Sigiriya für drei Tage und es war unser erster Stopp auf unserer Rundreise. Im Vorfeld hatten wir schon regelmäßigen Kontakt mit Felix den Manager des Tepraas. Felix ist unheimlich nett, und organisierte für uns alle Transfers von Hotel zu Hotel , Tickets für unsere Zugfahrt von Kandy nach Haputale und auch vor Ort die Fahrgelegenheiten zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten . Es war wirklich sensationell wir er sich um uns gekümmert hat und wir waren so froh Ihm an unserer Seite zu haben. Alles hat wunderbar und reibungslos geklappt. vom ersten bis zum letzten Tag unserer Reise. Vielen Vielen herzlichen Dank noch mal dafür! Aber auch alle Angestellten im Hotel waren super nett und freundlich. Das Essen war sehr gut, die Zimmer sehr groß und sauber. Wir hatten auch einen kleinen Balkon zum Pool hin an dem man am Abend sehr schön sitzen konnte und gemütlich was trinken konnte. Wir hatten hier wirklich drei sehr schöne Tage zum Einstieg und werden Felix mit seinem wunderbaren Team noch sehr lange in Erinnerung behalten. Das Tepraas Sigiriya können wir auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.
