A hotel full of history as it has been the chosen venue for important events in Nara. Many celebrities had stayed in this hotel including Albert Einstein. Tried the rice lager at the tea house which is very good tgough some may find it not strong enough. The vicinity is nice. It is within waljing distance of the famous Nara Park. The room is spacious. The hotel has a very Japanese style, the design is very beautiful, the stay was very comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. The reception staff were very considerate from check-in to check-out. It is recommended to check in early to enjoy the hotel service and atmosphere.
If you are walking from Kintetsu Nara Station to the hotel while pushing your luggage, there is a section of rough road that may make it difficult to push your luggage. You may consider taking a taxi, which takes about 5 minutes.
The hotel is very close to Todaiji Temple, Nara Park, and Nara Museum, and it is very convenient to go to attractions.

It was our first family trip in a long time.
It was a great way to unwind from our busy schedules.
The room was spacious and the hot springs were great.
It was a quiet room, so my daughter and I were able to talk about various things.
The food was delicious and we had a variety of seasonal dishes.
Everyone was friendly and we enjoyed Nara at our own pace.

The hotel is next to JR Nara Station, and there are buses to Nara Park and Todaiji Temple. The transportation is very convenient. There are 2 hot spring pools, one of which can be ventilated outdoors, and the feeling is also good. The most important thing is that the price is affordable. If you come to Nara, it is worth staying. The triple room has upper and lower bunks, and there is enough space. There are also many izakayas near the train station hotel. In addition, you can drink for free in the hotel bar before 21:00, and you can even buy octopus balls downstairs and bring them up to eat. (The hotel welcomes food)

This hotel is located on Mount Wakakusa in Nara. The location is a bit remote, but the scenery is really great, especially in the early morning, when you see the entire Nara city shrouded in mist, it is super beautiful.
The room is a traditional Japanese tatami room, which is quite comfortable but not too luxurious. The hot spring is open-air, so you can soak in it while looking at the mountain view, which is really relaxing. However, the hot spring pool is not big and may be a bit crowded if there are many people.
Dinner was kaiseki, and the portion was a bit too much for us.
Generally speaking, this place is suitable for people who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and relax. Just be mentally prepared. This place is quite quiet and there are not many entertainment facilities. The focus is on relaxation.

It's hard to rate it in one night, but we liked everything. The Japanese-style room was new to us. It's not far from the metro, the train station is further away of course... There's a Starbucks on the first floor, it's convenient that it opens at 8am and you can have breakfast there.
The hotel doesn't offer breakfast, but you can order a bento in advance.
Would we stay again? Definitely yes.

Loved the hotel!! It’s in the center of nara city
It’s 5 mins walk to the nara shopping area, 5mins walk to the nara park there is deer walking around the hotel in the morning
There is free morning city walk tour at 7:00-8:00 with local guide; the bicycle is free
The view of the pond is nice the service is great!! 5stars to everything
The room is spacious and the bed is comfortable
They have drink lounge for free use with unlimited snacks; fruit juice, sake, beer, wine from
15:00pm-2:00am
Really recommend everyone that travels to nara city to stay at this hotel!!
The only downside of this hotel is the breakfast only provides japanese style food ; grill fish and onigiri
The onigiri is huge, grill fish and miso soup is cold
I wish they can make the onigiri smaller so
We can taste more flavors
And hope that they can provide a bakery corner for people who doesn’t like to eat fish
Otherwise we loved the hotel and want to go
Back again!!
Ps: there is not parking space so we need to park at the coin parking costs us 2400¥ /night

CChaojijinshuwaVery nice hotel, but service is not OK. Maybe I should say”bad”.
We booked 1 room with 3 beds for 3 people, due to the booking system could input only 2 names, we have 1 person’s name missing.
The 2 ladies in the front desk of the hotel told that we need to pay extra JPN 3900 for the additional bed. Or, we could only have 2 beds for 3 people.
I said no, because it’s included in the room charge, we paid already. The ladies have no will to help us to solve the problem, but very interested in charging more.
Try to imagine, will 2 people book 3 beds room for 2 beds? why don’t people book a same type standard room to save some money?
Please contact with your agent to fix your booking system.
Finally a gentleman of the hotel helped to negotiate, and we could live here.
The room is really nice and clean. But the service is the worst I’ve ever seen in Japan.
GGuest UserLocation:2 minutes walking distance from the station to the hotel-perfect!The front entrance has a beautifully designed layout.
Cleanness: The hotel maintains an exceptional level of cleanliness, and a comfortable and hygienic environment.
Service: The front desk's English is excellent, much better than most I've encountered in Tokyo and Osaka. The instructions are clear and well-explained.
Facilities: Everything from the room to the dining options was exceptional, making my stay very enjoyable. The Japanese-style room made my stay cozy and relaxing.
Overall: I would give 10 out 10 and recommend it to every one.
WWandouThe hotel is right outside the Kintetsu station. There is a 711 downstairs. The hotel is located on the street, so it is a bit noisy in the middle of the night. Other aspects are very good. I met many deer on the way from the hotel to Kasuga Taisha Shrine. The deer in Nara Park are really fierce. They bit my plastic bag. The deer are so cute.
GGodoodimThe best hotel experience we had in the entire Japan trip. The room is very spacious (about 30-40 square meters by my estimation) and it is spotless clean. Staff is super friendly and helpful. I especially like the Japanese style room design where you take off your shoes at the front door and enter the elevated wooden floored room. The location is unbeatable - only 3 mins walk from the Nara train station, on a small tourist street with tons of small shops and restaurants. The room is very quite even though it is on the tourist street.
GGuest UserFantastic Hotel with a perfectly convenient location. The only thing is the bad attitude of a female manager at the front desk. We asked for more bottled water, but she refused. Refusing is OK, but she thought we didn't understand Japanese and said some bad words to us.
Unfortunately, we are just not fluent in Japanese, but we can totally understand what she was saying. A pathetic woman manager ruined other staff's good service and hard work.
CCarols628The hotel had no staff, a dinosaur or an anime character will speak to you for check in and check out..haha. You just scan your passport and enter some basic information, then you can get the room key. The room size is great for 2 people and all suitcases could be fully opened. If you want to store your luggage after check out, also need to press and pay at the store luggage machine by yourself. That was good for teenagers or adults for staying. If elderly, which not familiar for electric device, not recommend for staying.
GGuest UserI made a reservation on the day.
I thought I had booked a non-smoking room, but was shown to a smoking room, and the smell of cigarettes was so strong that I asked to change it, and they gladly did. The front desk staff was kind.
Drinks are free from 6pm to 9pm.
Unfortunately, they had run out of the alcohol I wanted to drink.
There were only a few side dishes for breakfast, but the bread was delicious.
MmlxyyxA very traditional Japanese room, the tatami is very comfortable to sleep on. There is a shower room and toilet on the first floor of the hotel. Although they are public, they are all quite good. The hotel is made of wood, and the corridors are very hot in summer. The room can be air-conditioned, but it is generally good.
XXIAOSAI ordered a double bed and made a loft. The overall space is not very large, but it is much more comfortable than domestic hotels. The hygiene and service are excellent. The location is very good. It is 7 minutes walk from Nara Park and 5 minutes from the subway entrance. A place to eat, drink and play for 5 minutes.
You can play in Nara for a few more days, the deer are very cute
GGuest UserA beautiful and modern hostel. Unfortunately I never met any staff member and also no one cleaned or arranged the beds, while I was there. All the lights remained on, even in the dorm and there’s no possibility to turn them off. The dorm itself was unfortunately also quite cold, while all the other spaces were warm and cozy. Otherwise everything was okay. There was a nice common space. But in general it doesn’t feel very safe and organized, as anyone can just enter the hostel and the dorm without any key or password.
