YYongxiuruanxianThe Wanshou Palace Huajian Pavilion boasts an excellent location, right above the subway and old street, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing and dining. The Gan-style retro decor is elegant and sophisticated. Rooms are clean and spacious, with soft, comfortable bedding, and the soundproofing effectively blocks out city noise while maintaining a peaceful ambiance. The front desk staff are warm and attentive. The Nanchang-style mixed noodles and 'wagan tang' (clay pot soup) for breakfast are authentic and delicious. It offers a perfect balance of being central yet quiet. This is definitely my top choice for accommodation in Nanchang, offering fantastic value for money. I'll choose to stay here again on my next visit!

Overview:
I recently stayed at Hampton by Hilton Nanchang and found it to be a pleasant and comfortable experience, offering great value for both business and leisure travelers. Located conveniently in the Honggutan District, the hotel is well-positioned for access to local attractions, shopping centers, and the business hub of the city.
The Good:
1. Comfortable Rooms:
The rooms were modern, clean, and well-maintained, with all the essentials for a relaxing stay. The bed was very comfortable, and the room featured an ergonomic work desk, which was great for getting some work done. I also appreciated the thoughtful touches like USB ports and plenty of outlets.
2. Facilities & Amenities:
The hotel offers a well-equipped fitness center, which I made use of during my stay. It’s not a full gym, but it has enough equipment for a quick workout. The business center and meeting rooms also looked professional and seemed perfect for business guests. Complimentary Wi-Fi was fast and stable throughout my stay.
3. Breakfast:
The complimentary breakfast buffet was a highlight, offering a good mix of Western and Chinese dishes. From fresh fruit and pastries to local delicacies like dumplings, there was something for every taste. The breakfast area was clean, and the staff was attentive to refilling items and clearing tables.
4. Service:
The staff at Hampton by Hilton Nanchang were friendly and helpful. Though not everyone was fluent in English, they made a genuine effort to assist with all requests. I felt welcomed throughout my stay, and check-in/check-out was a breeze.
5. Location:
The hotel’s location in Honggutan District made it convenient for accessing both the business district and local attractions like Tengwang Pavilion and Nanchang’s Star of Ferris Wheel. Taxis and public transportation were easy to access from the hotel, making it convenient to explore the city.
The Drawbacks:
1. Room Size:
While the rooms were clean and comfortable, they weren’t particularly spacious, especially if you’re staying for a longer period or with family. It was fine for a solo traveler or a couple, but families might feel a bit cramped.
2. Limited Dining Options:
While the breakfast was great, the hotel’s on-site dining options beyond breakfast were somewhat limited. There is a small restaurant, but for more varied meal options, you’ll need to explore nearby restaurants or order delivery.
3. Noise:
Depending on your room’s location, you might hear some street noise, especially during busy times. It wasn’t overwhelming but could be noticeable for light sleepers.

GGuest UserThis hotel boasts an excellent location. You can step right out onto Jewelry Street from the back alley, and it's a short stroll to Wanshou Palace for some local food and sightseeing. Tengwang Pavilion scenic area is just another 10-minute walk away, which is incredibly convenient. The underground parking is ample, and they even offer authentic local mixed noodles in the evening, which is a lovely touch.

CChiangYeemingChoosing the Jiangjing Holiday Hotel on the west bank of Ganjiang River for our trip during the National Day holiday was definitely the right decision. We're a family of three, and the receptionist, a handsome boy, upgraded us to a river-view suite, which gave us a fantastic view of the stunning Tengwang Pavilion across the river. The hotel's parking was convenient, and it was super easy to take the metro to the attractions on the other side. Breakfast was plentiful, although the omelet made by the chef didn’t look too great. Overall, I highly recommend this place!

The receptionist, Xiao Li, was also very professional and welcoming! I was quite satisfied with the room arrangements; each room has large floor-to-ceiling windows with a wide view.

However, it's quite a distance from the main attractions in the city center, so you'll need to take a taxi. What impressed me the most was the restaurant on the 5th floor; the ambiance was elegant, and the food was excellent in terms of color, aroma, and taste. On the downside, the lobby bar had a musty smell, which hopefully will be improved upon!

The hotel's cleanliness is excellent, and the view of the Twin Towers from the window is stunning, especially at night. GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, with a subway station right at the entrance and easy access to taxis. The front desk staff upgraded our room based on availability, and the room was spacious with a beautiful view of the Gan River (a secondary river view). The hotel's sixth-floor swimming pool is free for kids to enjoy. The breakfast offered Nanchang specialties like拌粉 (mixed rice noodles) and 瓦罐汤 (clay pot soup), which were delicious, so we didn't have to go out looking for food. Overall, a very satisfying experience! 👍
