Dengfeng Hotels with Balcony

The location of the hotel is very good, only about 500 to 600 meters away from the Shaolin Temple scenic area. You can walk to the scenic area along the national highway, but the manager must drive you there personally. I have to give a big thumbs up to the manager here! Before I arrived at the hotel, they sent me personalized travel guides and precautions via WeChat. After I arrived at the hotel, they personally helped me with my luggage and introduced me to the hotel. It really made me feel at home! In addition, the owner must have put a lot of thought into the decoration and layout of the hotel. Staying in the hotel gives people a very comfortable feeling. The tea room, chess and card room, gym, and laundry room are all available. It feels so nice to come back to the hotel and soak your feet after walking outside all day! A great stay experience, highly recommended!

We are a couple from Sweden that has been backpacking around the world for two years and we usually travel a lot. The stay was very nice! Very comfy bed with great duna and linen. The shower was awesome! And the room is beautiful. The breakfast room/reception is nice to relax at and there is also a living room when you enter the building were you can relax as well. Try to get a room on a higher floor and you get some mountain views. The owners are lovely and the husband is a somilier and gave us a glass of wine for free when we ordered dinner. You really need to try their food! It was really nice and so was the breakfast. We had dinner twice when we were there, try the sizzling beef and mushrooms. The staff is really nice and helpful especially the owners brother that helped us a lot with everything! We will for sure stay here again when we visit Dengfeng. The view room is great, the cabin is equipped with a comfortable panoramic room, you can see the panoramic view of Lushan directly from the window, including the Daiyue Temple Tower and the Fawang Temple Tower. When the weather is good, you should not be too good to look at the scenery.

The location of the hotel is a bit strange, but the security guard will come out to lead the way. The breakfast is not very varied and is quite ordinary. The soy milk is more authentic. The shower water is not hot enough. The parking space is easy to park. It is close to Shaolin Temple.

Stayed for 2 nights. The rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable. I originally booked a king-size bed room with a balcony. The only drawback was that the signal tower in the middle of the balcony blocked part of the view of Songshan Mountain. I always felt uncomfortable. The second room was changed by the store and upgraded to a suite. The space was larger and the bed was bigger.

All in all we are quite satisfied with our short stay. We haven't used any of the hotel amenities like swimming pool or restaurant, so it's impossible to comment upon them. However, we'd like to say thank you to the stuff that is available any time. It turned out that one faucet didn't work properly and we only found it out at around 11 p.m. We called service number and the problem was solved within 10 minutes. One more pleasant thing is the pillow menu) The beds are generally very comfortable (unlike in many other Chinese hotels), but you still can choose an orthopedic pillow to your liking. That was very nice! Location is good (around 15 min to the mountain park entrance and to the bus station). Unfortunately, we are not very happy with the view. (It was a mountain view room). Yes, we saw a pagoda and the mountains, but also the construction site right below our windows. Workes started their day at around 7 a.m., which was clearly heard in our room. In addition, there's some soft music constantly playing in the corridor. Definitely not for those who are sensitive to extra sounds.

A very good B&B, a bit like a special hotel, exceeded expectations. Reasonable price, comfortable and clean rooms. We like the quaint feeling of the house. Living here, we can also feel the feeling of walking in the streets. We brought our children, and the children also liked to hang out here. The scenery is really beautiful. The breakfast is simple and clean, all vegetarian, very delicious! Very good quality. The best comment on the accommodation is that we will stay here again.

The concept is great. It's halfway up the mountain, right next to the music festival, and you can go and watch the show just a short stroll away. The duplex single room we stayed in was also very quiet and comfortable. Zero-pressure mattresses and pillows are particularly restful for a good night's sleep. The downside is that the restaurant is average. The buffet in the evening is 59/person, which is not expensive, but there is nothing to eat (except for the prawns). Then the vacation ended at nine o'clock and I couldn't get up at all. There is a battery car pick-up service and the attitude is very good

This is a wonderful place to stay. The owner and his wife are incredibly friendly, warm, and accommodating. It’s just a few minutes from the Shaolin Temple, and the owner even offered transportation to and from the site. The food is delicious, I tried the egg fried rice, Sichuan Mala chicken, and Mala tofu (beancurd). the portions are generous and easily enough for 2–3 people. The rooftop offers stunning views of the mountains, and the owner is happy to serve tea if you’d like. There are also clothes-drying areas on the 2nd and 5th floors. While language differences limit conversation, the couple’s kindness and hospitality truly shine through. I would absolutely stay here again if I return. Heads-up: I wanted to go to Luoyang, and the owner kindly took me to a nearby spot where the bus stops. She even spoke to the driver to help me get on the right bus. After a while, the driver informed me through a note that he was heading to Gongyi instead. He asked me to get down and pointed towards another bus. I then took the bus, confirming with the driver that it was going to Luoyang before boarding. However, the same thing happened again; the driver stopped halfway and asked me to take a taxi. It seemed like the taxi driver might have been the bus driver’s acquaintance as he boarded the bus right after bus stops. The taxi driver initially quoted me 150 yuan to take me to my hotel in Luoyang. I wanted to use Didi, but the app couldn’t recognise the hotel’s name. Since the hotel was only a few meters from the Longmen Grottoes, I knew the fare should be around 65 yuan. I showed him the price on the app and he eventually agreed on 100 yuan. My advice: if you’re unsure of the bus route, go directly to the bus station. They will help you find the correct bus to your destination and let you know if any transfers are needed. This experience ended up being quite inconvenient, costing me both time and money. What should have been a 30-yuan trip from Dengfeng to Luoyang ended up costing me three times more. The owner had nothing to do with this, it’s just a heads-up for anyone planning to take the bus.
