Eric Vökel Boutique Apartments - Amsterdam Suites
4.3/588 Reviews
The apartments are well designed and well maintained. The soundproof windows work very well. Even though we are facing the train tracks we could not hear the trains coming and going. The apartment is clean. The small kitchen and living room were great. The bed was comfortable. The location is excellent with most of the tourist sites within a 15 minute walking distance. The only reason this is a 4 not a 5 star review is the appliances. The microwave operation is not intuitive. The washer dryer has printed directions and even so it is a bit complicated. The washer dryer takes over 5 hours to run and even then the clothes are not dry.

Great service in this beautiful canal facing hotel. It’s a very old building so be prepared for the steep staircase! The service was good with free coffee and tea in the reception area along with maps. Staff are friendly

We enjoyed our stay here, the hotel was out of the city but had a tram stop right outside that was easy to navigate and took 15 minutes into the centre. Bed was comfy, room was clean with fresh towels often. The one thing we would fault this hotel on is that there is no aircon. I understand that like the UK, Amsterdam doesn't often get very hot. The particular week we went was 26 degrees and the room was unbearable to be in. We were waking up every morning uncomfortably hot and not getting a good nights sleep because of this. We opened all the windows we could but were left with hundreds of mosquitos all over the room. We asked to change rooms as it was our last night and unfortunately they said they didn't have anything for us. The staff were swift to exterminate all of the mosquitos and offer us complimentary soft drinks. Staff were friendly and helpful.

After the check-in, I encountered a series of problems. The front desk arranged people to help me solve the problem. The service was very good. My suitcase is broken, and the hotel is looking for someone to help me get it. Then the skinny is too slippery to open the door. The front desk is looking for repairs. I can wrap the tape on the handle to facilitate my access and the hotel steak is super delicious.

Excellent location, could walk to every “tourist” place. . Plenty of restaurants and bars right outside the doors! The breakfast at the hotel was great with lots of options and the staff very accommodating! Pastry chef is outstanding..deserves a raise!! Croissants the lightest fluffiest ever! Everything tastes as good as it looks! Front desk staff very nice, Sarah went out of her way to “fix” a minor problem and continued ask if everything was ok each time she saw us. Rooms clean and roomy, beds comfortable would stay again if ever in Amsterdam and recommend this hotel to anyone who asks! Transportation from airport is a little pricey (taxi for 4 ..70-100 euros depending on traffic ) but once you are there no need to use again.

Incredible building And room with great space And feel. I wasnt very well one the last day of my stay And the Male receptionist was a legend giving me tea And advice how to get better. Felt like a friend at the desk, was a great vibe. Only downside is the Wifi would come And go as they only have 1000 IP address's so sometimes it drops out after a couple hours. Would defo stay there again, great value for money when i went
