Amazing experience ! The staff at the reception and at the restaurant are super friedly and helpful . It’s clean and the food is amazing. Super safe for kids ! Really nice stay at this hotel. Strongly recommend the stay here , especially for families with kids !

Breakfast: nearly meeting a 3 stars hotel. Cold meat selections are definitely reused, eggs of poor quality, same sausages (frankfurters), no a-la- carte menu (standard in 5*), coffee poor, dishes very dirty on the back, same cups, greasy & sticky. Dinner - some items are derived from food used in the morning, smart re cooking, overall tasty but definitely no more than 3* experience. Chef at grill either no ppe, hair tightner etc. No drinks selections apart from ordering extra cost (despite having dinner included in the pack deal). For both, no high quality selection of food expected for 5* property - basic stuff. Spa - overpriced at 55EUR/50 mins relaxing massage where technics are poor, amateurish, towels smelled as rancid oil, guessing not changed on the massage bed. Room cleaning - a disaster, toilet smelled as public toilet, asked 3 times to get it cleaned, 1 st time only wiped with toilet roll, second time nothing, 3rd time washed slightly but incredibly dirty (I had to buy chemicals to wash it myself… you don’t wanna know). Balcony dirty, kitchenette greasy, room condition overall, a 3* hotel at max, with all the inclusions, comfy bed though and good curtains. Windows dirty fingerprints, tiles dirty and greasy, hairs all over the bathroom. Bar cocktails - a mix of something but nothing to do with proper drinks, but highly priced (nice menu quality though). Staff not answering requests on booking, apart from that polite and helpful, a shame that services provided, quality of room and F&B is just dust in the wind. I had high expectations from a 5* advertised property, but only got 3* experience at max. Other mentions: no lobby music, no lobby scent, people don’t smile, sun beds are made of plastic (seaside), lowest quality and umbrelas broken and old/ no cushions available either (ehy advertising it as a perk?). People leave their towels by the pool to keep sunbeds taken and barely half of them are used - poorly organised and other guests can not use the facility. Gym - 3 machines - unacceptable to advertise it as facility, I get it why there are no pictures there (2 running threadmills - cheap for home use and a few dumbells (5 sqm alltogether). A lot more to say, and unfortunately not good stuff and zi don’t really get how this hotel has gotten 9.2 out of 10. Kudos to bellboy, and reception staff. Other than this, 3 out of 10 at best. Not good value for money.

Having decided at the last moment to attend a conference in Albena, we have found a very good offer on the web for the Flamingo Grand (it was much cheaper than any other hotel). Having a limited budget (you know, research funds) we decided to book the hotel, and we were wondering in which dark basement our rooms would be... And instead, surprise: fourth floor, huge rooms with beautiful balcony! The staff is very kind and I have to say that I really like this hotel.

This is the way we are met every time we stay in Flamingo Grand Hotel Albena. This is my 2nd time for this year staying in the hotel. The rooms are nice, clean and spacious, modern decorated with a fine touch of elegance.As this is my 3rd time in the hotel I have seen 4 different room designs-there is a kitchenette, a main bathroom and a separate toilet which makes it very convenient for families. -The staff is polite and helpful -Wi-Fi is free with very good speed - food in the restaurant is always fresh( salads, vegetables and fruits) and absolutely delicious.Breakfast and dinner was served in 2 restaurants. I tried some unusual and very tasty combinations such as bake pear with blue cheese and light caramel sauce. -there are 3 main pools- providing facilities for kids and adults and also daily activities organised by the animation team Thank you Flamingo Grand team for the plea sent stay! We will be back

We had excellent vacation there! The hotel was big, with proper parking area and fast and warm welcome at the reception, very professional. The room was spacious, newly furnished and cosy, everything you need included, with large terrace. The room and the bath were very clean, maids were kind and smiling, doing excellent job. The restaurant was big, spacious, clean with polite and kind staff. The food was delicious, fresh and various. The outdoor pools and aquapark were our children's favourite place, spacious, clean and suitable for all ages. We come back there definitely! It was wonderful!

Flamingo Grand and Spa Hotel in Albena is one of the best places for vacation in Bulgaria. The suits and studios are excellent and the food is perfect. The personnel is very competent and friendly. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Strongly recommended.

A wondetful location perfect for for your holiday. The stuff is professional, the food satisfy all the tastes. It has a wonderful pull, tenis grounds, a spa, etc. I think it offers everything you can wish for your holiday. I come at this hotel since four years and I'll come back with pleasure.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Flamingo Grand Hotel & Spa in Albena, and overall, it was a lovely experience for our relaxing week-long vacation. The hotel itself is nice, with clean and comfortable rooms that provided a pleasant stay. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful views from our room, and the proximity to the beach was a definite plus. Being able to easily access the beach added to the convenience and enjoyment of our stay. Albena is a tranquil and safe resort location, perfect for those seeking a peaceful getaway. We felt at ease exploring the area, and the serene atmosphere contributed to the overall relaxation of our vacation. The hotel's outdoor pool was great, and we were especially impressed by the amazing indoor thermal SPA. Spending time in the thermal mineral pool, steam room, and sauna was a rejuvenating experience. The SPA facilities provided a wonderful opportunity to unwind and pamper ourselves. The rooms were cleaned daily, but we did learn that it was necessary to place the cleaning tag on the door. It's important to remember this to ensure the daily cleaning service. However, the housekeeping staff maintained a high standard of cleanliness and ensured our rooms were tidy and comfortable. The breakfast at Flamingo Grand Hotel & Spa was truly amazing. There was a wide variety of options available, catering to different tastes and preferences. The abundance of choices allowed us to start our day with a delightful meal and set a positive tone for the rest of the day. While the dinner spread was also nice, we did notice a lack of variety throughout the week, which made it slightly repetitive. It would be wonderful if the dinner menu offered more diversity, as it can become monotonous to have the same dishes every evening during a longer stay. We did find that the reception staff could benefit from better training in terms of customer service. Although they were efficient, their demeanor lacked warmth and friendliness. A smile and a more welcoming attitude would have better reflected the standard of a five-star hotel. Similarly, we felt that the restaurant staff could be more friendly and accommodating. Their overall demeanor seemed tense, which slightly affected the dining experience. One of the highlights of our stay was the presence of FunPoint Bulgaria's kids club, run by their enthusiastic staff. The in-house kids club provided a wide range of activities and entertainment for children. Our kids had an amazing time, and it was a significant bonus to have such a dedicated and engaging facility within the resort. Note on currency exchange: It is better to carry cash of your home currency and get it exchanged at the hotel or outside at the exchange centers. Do not use the ATM at the hotel reception or WU since the charges are extravagent. In general it is possible to pay by Mastercard or Visa in many places, and this is the best way whenever available since you get the best exchange rates. In conclusion,

The flamingo grand is a great hotel. The Food was excellent and even for vegetarian they had a lot of great choices. The Room was clean, very big and the bed with its wonderful pillows made our nights. We could see the ocean from the window and the balcony which was a great surprise since the room was named "garden view" The staff was always friendly, helpfull and very nice. Even when my two year old son made a mess or screamed around, we felt always welcome. The Spa with the warm indoor pool was another Highlight of our days. We had a wonderful holiday. We had an amazing stay at Flamingo Grand - the staff are very attentive, the food is of high quality and varied, the location and beach area are excellent and we really enjoyed the spa and massage facilities. We also received an upgrade to the original flat we booked, which was very much appreciated. Highly recommend this hotel and experience.

- Nice people everywhere - Breakfast was wonderful, but the glasses was never clean! - All pools was really good, but one smelled funky. One child of ours got sick after drinking it by accident. - Great music and entertainment at the pool. Please take a look at the glasses in the breakfast as they are all dirty and try to follow up the pools a little better. But these is small problems, therefore 5/5.

First, I will underline that I have been to Bulgaria many times. We've never had stomach problems. But unfortunately that time after five days of only feeding in the hotel, we had severe stomach problems: diarrhea and vomiting. We must use the medicine we ever take - Nifuroxazidum for three days. But worse, when I tried to share that problem with the receptionist, instead of apologizing, they tried to convince us that it was sunstroke !!! To make matters worse, at the end of our stay, our younger grandson (11 years old) had diarrhea and couldn't be helped. Thanks to TUI (our tour operator) and Allianz (our insurer), he was taken to the hospital in Varna, where he was given drips, which only helped. Generally, when we looked at the dishes later, most of them were thoroughly washed. It's funny in a 5-star hotel, but there was always a shortage of teaspoons. So if you want to spend your holiday in this hotel, rather choose the breakfast-only option and be careful what you eat. Generally, the front desk staff was rude and incompetent. As we were leaving early in the morning, I went the night before to pay for drinks with dinner. I spent, but the following day when the bus to the airport was waiting for us, it turned out that we still had a bill to pay. There were free sunbeds on the beach but only from the 3rd row???. Theoretically, there should be mattresses for sunbeds (hard plastic), but there were none.

You travelled during high season when the likelihood of infection increases with the number of tourists. You also recommend the breakfast only option, which doesn't reflect your opinion of the food safety in our restaurant. I stayed many times at this hotel since 2008, twice this year and every time I enjoyed comfortable rooms, pleasant sea view, good food, cleanliness and very nice personal. Also I like the outside swimming pool’s, good drinks from hotel bar, spa area, really liked the inside pool and VIP Lounge. The hotel is close to the beach, with self restaurant’s and many others nearby, lot’s of souvenirs shops, supermarket and pharmacy. This year, I really appreciated the implication of Hotel Manager Ekaterina Mihaleva who personally helped us with our accommodation by selecting a suitable room which was to our liking, with access to the VIP Lounge from the Executive Lounge and other tips and tricks to enjoy our stay at the hotel. Because of Mrs. Ekaterina we came back for the second time this year even though it was planned to go somewhere else. I definitely recommend this place.
