Just a 3-star hotel that is not up to par. The first thing is that it needs an urgent renovation to visually enter the 21st century, since all the furniture was paid for in pesetas, and the newest piece is at least 30 years old. We don't even talk about the hallways anymore, because they are gloomy and if you add the old-fashioned touch, you don't know if the girls from Shining or the grandmother from Cuéntame will appear. The rooms have a multitude of faults, starting with a noisy air conditioning, which also has no middle ground, because the temperature regulator does not work, and if you turn it on you end up freezing and if not you end up sweating. We continue to have quite a few maintenance failures, such as lights that do not work or broken door handles. And we end up with the walls being made of paper, and you can hear absolutely everything from the adjoining rooms. Cleanliness is not going to win any prizes either, because without being extremely dirty, there is a lot of loose lint, and under the bed it is better not to look. The Wi-Fi is very slow and intermittent, so much so that every 15 minutes you suddenly receive all the Whatsapps that could not reach you because they were lost in the limbo of slow Wi-Fi. Special mention to the fact that, even though we had put the do not disturb sign on the door, the maintenance staff ignored it and entered my room, something totally unacceptable in a hotel. The only saving grace is that it is very close to the AVE station, the beds, which are very large and comfortable, the pillows, which is a detail that there are different hardnesses, the reception staff, who are very friendly, and The breakfast, which even though there is very little to choose from, is varied enough to have a proper breakfast. In short, it is not worth saving €5-10/night, which is what a better hotel will cost you.
