Very well equipped, good storage in the rooms, very comfortable beds, I was very pleased that the showers had shampoo conditioner and shower gel as well as having a toilet within the cubicle was an added bonus. The staff were helpful and although I didn’t take the free meals the option of dinner and breakfast was welcomed. Only downside was that the room was excruciatingly hot with no aircon or fan and the ladder to get onto the top bunk was quite dangerous with only a handle on one side. Other than that a great stay

The service of the facility is bad. The staff spent almost half an hour to arrange my bed during the check-in given that there was no queue. The hygiene is fine but the open area is very crowded. I lost an important item at the hostel and the staff was very unwilling to provide assistance even simply have a quick look.

Still waiting for a refund... How 4 - 7business days has turned into 14 days & counting I would solidly NOT recommend this booking site or hostel.

There is a nice French girl at the front desk of this youth hostel, she is beautiful and very hard-working, but the worst thing is a Colombian woman who works in the kitchen as a cleaner. Even food like bread and cereal has to be picked at and not provided. We provide breakfast. I went to queue before the end of time, but when I got to the end of the queue, I said there was nothing left. It was too much. They were probably Colombian refugees! Also, the hotel didn’t replenish the hair conditioner in time when it ran out. Feedback only resulted in quibbles. In order to avoid arguments, it’s better to avoid this hostel as much as possible.

This youth hostel must be very popular in Adelaide. Recently, it is almost full every day. Most young people from all over the world gather here. It is like a big family and makes people not feel restrained.

The place was really clean. Breakfast and dinner where provided, really cheap price for what you can get. You can find people from all over the world and make friends, the place is really clean and the staff helps you out with whatever you need. I really recommend that!!! See you next time!

This is by far the most disgusting place I have ever stayed in... Where do I begin? The hostel on first appearance is unkempt, unhygienic and overcrowded. The dorm room had clearly not been cleaned properly, there was toe nail clippings on the window seal, dirty tissues under the bed, dust everywhere and just smelt as if there hadn’t been any fresh air circulating for a while. There was a air conditioning unit in the room that could only be operated by reception which meant by nighttime, the room was just being blasted with freezing cold, regurgitated air. (Not pleasant when sharing with three other people in a confined space). The only saving grace was the fact that there was a window by the bed. As for the rest of the facilities, the bathrooms were ok, however could do with a lick of paint and a bit more cleaning. The ‘tv room’ upstairs is fairly undesirable and to be avoided! The whole area just smelt musty/damp/sweaty. Not forgetting, the dirty boxers that seemed to make a permanent residence on the floor or armrest of the sofa. Niceee! The kitchen/common area was equally as filthy and cramped. Very much a party hostel. Found it very strange that we had no communication with any of the hostel staff members, even when checking in/out; this was all done by text message? It seemed as if anyone and everyone could walk into the hostel which is concerning in terms of security. Please avoid!

The location is superb , very close to the Adelaide YHA as well . It is close to public transport ( bus and trams ) and a short ride from airport as well. It is close to Henley street , so lot of good food options around . A mile walk to the Adelaide oval. The staff are really superb and do a big job in maintaining the place . The kitchen ( small) area is cleaned at least 3 times a day . Complimentary Breakfast is the standard pancake / bread and cereals . Dinner is usually some rice or pasta with gravy , they make stuff without meat as well , otherwise salads are also there . Can’t complain, although if you eat this for more than 2 days you aren’t going to enjoy it . Showers and washrooms are also cleaned multiple times, so you can’t fault the staff for it . Ultimately it’s your luck in terms of how the people who are living at the time maintain it - it was largely clean when I was around for 5 nights in Dec 2024. I was in a mixed dorm ( number 3) and it was ok because I got an upper tier bed - which gives you the space and privacy to that extent . Again , cleanliness / smelliness or clothes / socks depends on your roomies , it was ok for about 40 percent of my stay . The staff does a good job putting out notices and cleaning as well Overall the common space felt small . WiFi is super great , staff is very helpful . Popular with Europeans no doubt ! If you want to generally get a place to sleep without worrying about food it’s definitely a yes . ( some noise cancelling headphones help - house rules are tough to follow during the new year / weekends ) .

I would give this business zero stars if I could. Do not stay at this hostel!! I pre-paid for my accommodation. I'm an Australian citizen with an Australian Government issued Driver's Licence, yet the manager refused me my booked accomodation when I arrived at 7pm at night because my renewed Australian Passport hasn't issued yet. Last time I checked, as an Australian citizen you don't need an Australian Passport to travel around Australia. An Austraian Government issued Driver's Licence is sufficient ID anywhere else. Nice welcome to Adelaide! "Tequila Bumrise"!
