Kibo Palace Hotel Moshi
4.6/539 Reviews
I had dinner at the hotel and I did not realize that the waitress made a mistake and charged my credit card in US dollars instead of 33.990 TZ shillings. An hour later, the waitress knocked my door and told me about the mistake and that they would reverse the transaction in the morning. It took the hotel 2 days to sort that out with their bank (NMB Bank). I spent about US$500 on international phone calls with my bank in SA so that they undersand the problem and help me solve it. After a long struggle, I got my money back after 25 days. I am writing this to alert tourists who visit Tz. Please look at the credit card machine to ensure that the correct currency is being charged before pressing the buttons. Scrutinize the receipts that you get and keep them until you get home. Regardless of the nerve-racking experience that I had, I would like to thank the Kibo Palace Hotel administration and staff for their honesy (admitting the error) and for the great efforts they put forth to ensure thae reversal of the reve money as they had no experience with this issue before. Everybody at the hotel was sympathetic and very supportive. Every now and then they contacted me to see if I got the money or not. My advice to the hotel is to train their staff especially waitresses/waiters in using payment machines, and even improving their English to avoid such mistakes and hastles. I wish the accountant tooke me with her to the bank so that I know exactly what is going on so that I give solutions or ask my bank for solutions. if I come back to Moshi, I would definitely stay at the Kibo Palce Hotel and enjoy Mt Kilimanjaro views.

It was our first night in Africa after traveling for over 18 hours and we were delighted to stay overnight in the comfortable and clean rooms at Panama Garden Resort in Moshi. We were in our own little bungalow building. The shower and room facilities were good. The small bar area was perfect for a quick drink and dinner. Breakfast offered a variety and each of us were able to find something we liked. It wasn't a busy time and service was prompt.

This is a really nice hotel in the middle of Moshi. For a low price you get a good room with warm shower, mosquitonet and good mattress. There is WiFi that reached our room. The staff is very nice and helpful. The view from the rooftop is great. On a good day you see Mt.Kilimanjaro. We sat there in the evening and watched the lively double road of Moshi.

We landed at 2 a.m. at Kilamajaro Airport. We needed a place to stay before heading to safari and to Arusha. Eileen was very responsive and patiently answered all our questions when we booked everything onlinr. The driver Victor picked us up in the morning. He drove us. They are located in a gated complex with small individual rooms. It has kitchen, nets, bath, double rooms, living room. Breakfast is provided fresh in the morning with great conversations. Fruit, eggs, bread. There is also things you can buy if needed, like souvenirs and colorful pants. The bathroom hot water works through a geyser system and they have a/c. It was a convenient stay. The next day Victor spent with us as we drove to Arusha.

Best location, greetings and thank you Erasto for organizing the climb on Kilimanjaro, for Safari in Serengeti and Ngorongoro and Materuni waterfall. Erasto, the location manager helped us in any problem that was and could have occurred! Greetings to Bayo, the best guide of Kilimanjaro and Julius, our safari guide, the best safari driver! Let's not forget the terrace overlooking Kilimanjaro and obviously the beer at a decent price. If I could have given 10 stars I would definitely have given them! I gave too little time, if I had another 7 days I would have made a trip to Uganda, Kenya, both being close, but it remains for the next time!

No matter the environment and service are absolutely first-class, it is especially suitable for special planes, and the pick-up service is also very considerate. We needed medical services during our trip, and the hotel also helped to contact medical institutions. The whole process exceeded our expectations.
