So someone makes a reservation, pays and the hotel is not capable of doing something so basic as giving you an invoice. Instead they tell you to do their work and go to the internet and loose the time we don’t have searching for the best way to have an invoice

This was not the first time we stayed at this hotel. It’s a hidden gem in the middle of the mountain. The roads to get there are in shambles and you don’t have absolutely anything nearby like a pharmacy or a small market. But maybe that’s part of the charm. The service is amazing, very welcoming and the food outstanding. They have a great indoor pool. The loan you bikes and can do a packed lunch for your trekking. They even give you guides. Toiletries are one of the best I’ve seen.

O hotel fica localizado num espaço sossegado perfeito para quem quer ter um momento relaxante e tranquilo. É pequeno mas foi isso que o tornou ainda mais acolhedor. O quarto era espaçoso e estava equipado com tudo o que era preciso, A/C, wi-fi, tv. O staff é atencioso e simpático. O restaurante do hotel também serviu óptima comida. De entrada comemos um folhado de queijo com rúcula, compota doce e frutos secos, de prato principal escolhemos 1 risotto de alheira e boletos e secretos de porco com legumes salteados e batatas fritas, de sobremesa foi apenas um leite creme pois já não conseguíamos comer mais. Ficamos muito satisfeitos de termos escolhido o restaurante do hotel para jantar. O pequeno-almoço foi servido no mesmo local do jantar. Tinha várias compotas caseiras para colocar no pão, croissants e afins. Tinha também frutas, queijos, fiambre, entre outros para usufruir. Tinha também disponível ovos mexidos com bacon feitos na hora. A zona de spa tinha cacifos para guardar os pertences. É necessário passar na recepção para marcar hora e levantar o robe. E para utilizar a piscina é obrigatório o uso de touca. O espaço para além de ter piscina aquecida tem também sauna e banho turno. Tem 2 chuveiros, um em cabine que até música dá para colocar. Voltaremos de certeza!

The dining area is beautiful with burel flowers on the ceiling, discreet lights, black cutlery, great taste in everything! In the room, they take care of every detail, with all possible amenities! It has a bathrobe, blankets for the balcony and amazing design! The hotel has a heated pool with a sauna and steam room and some individual hot tubs inside the pool that are top notch! Not to mention that children are not allowed after 18:00, which guarantees the silence of the place for adults! In the room there is a kit for the pool with towels and slippers, in addition to the robe! All thought out with care! Small and charming hotel! What about Vista? Breathtaking! In short: luxury, comfort and privacy! Until then, the hotel gets a 100! The problem was with the temperature of our rooms! We almost died from the heat! On the first night, we struggled to adjust the air conditioning regulator in our room and, although we set the temperature to 16C or 18C, the air from the device was always hot! Finally, we turned it off, but we almost couldn't sleep because of the heat! The next day we complained to reception. She then explained to us, that the air conditioner in the room is worthless! There is a core temperature in the entire hotel!!!!! That's the biggest nonsense I've ever heard in my life! I've been to 50+ countries in so many hotels and I've never seen this! The following night, we left the porch door a crack open, despite the risk of a bird or whatever! But it was the only measure that allowed us to sleep! The temperature they set for the whole hotel is insanely hot! People walk around the hotel in t-shirts and flip-flops! Outside the temperature was fluctuating between 2 and 10C. Now, nobody who goes to a hotel in the mountains wants to be hot... People want, at the very least, to sleep with a duvet, which was not possible. Also, each room should have the right to decide what temperature it wants to spend the night at! A feather! But I think this can be easily adjusted.

Unfortunately due to the poor decor, cleaning and maintenance this review will not be favourable. The staff were brilliant, the location is nice, very rural. But that is pretty much it. There is too much litter all over the car park area. Maybe have rubbish bins installed in the car park, or have a daily litter pick. The sat nav took us the wrong way, there needs to be far more signs showing the way to the hotel. The building on the outside looks different. But whoever decided to paint the corridors and rooms black needs their head tested! It is very dark when you step out of the lift to go to your room. Once inside the room, the toilet/bathroom areas again very dark, need a headteacher! No need for that. In our room, I booked 3 rooms, the tv was a cheap nasty thing. The remote control had ducktape holding the battery's in place. There one way glass, between the toilet and bathroom was all scratched. When I pay for a nice hotel I want a nice experience. This hotel unfortunately needs a new paint job and the maintenance to be carried out as soon as it's needed. The restaurant area has 2 massive TV's, very Portuguese thing. On mute but I would rather not have them there in the first place. Also, if you are seating next to the main wall, in the restaurant areaz you can hear the water running down the pipes as you enjoy your food! Just don't think about what is running down next to you! And pray there isn't a burst sewage pipe while you are next to the wall! The food, was ok, nothing special. Which is a shame. On the upside, wine was good. Shame they don't sell they wine at the hotel. They have it on show by reception, but to buy it was a very long drive to their vineyard.

this hotel was a good location for our wine trip though DAO wine area. Very friendly reception, clean room with a nice view to the horse paddock and vineyard. Good breakfast but dinner was a bit below our expectations, would rate with 8/10. But with a good glas of wine in front of the open fire place in the evening we had a nice and romantic evening. Location is a bit off the main road and grocery shop is a short drive away. Would book again.
