Miyako Hotel Hakata is in a fantastic location — right across from Hakata Station and surrounded by plenty of malls, shops, and restaurants. The room was spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped. One of the highlights is the spa area, which includes both indoor and outdoor bath on rooftop (13F) — very relaxing after a long day.
One downside during our stay was the parking situation. We were traveling as a group with multiple pieces of luggage, but the hotel entrance isn’t directly connected to the parking area, which made it a bit inconvenient. Also, the hotel parking lot is closed between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM, which might not be ideal for guests with late-night plans.
Overall, it’s a great hotel and definitely one I would recommend for anyone staying in Fukuoka!

I had a wonderful 3-night stay at this hotel. The location is very convenient, just a short walk from both the subway and JR station, making it easy to get around. The breakfast offered a good mix of both Japanese and Western options—healthy and delicious, with the cheesecake being a standout treat each morning.
As a solo traveler, I found the bed spacious and extremely comfortable. After long days of sightseeing, the hot springs were the perfect way to relax and ease my tiredness.
Overall, a great experience and I would definitely stay here again!
Booking a hotel in Fukuoka on a Saturday night was incredibly expensive. Fortunately, Ctrip recommended the Mercure Fukuoka Munakata Resort. It's a bit far from Fukuoka, making it quite inconvenient if you don't have a car. However, the room was spacious enough, and the afternoon tea, breakfast, and hot springs definitely offered excellent value for money. It's also about a 20-minute walk to the beach, which was a great bonus.

The room was excellent, and the rooftop hot spring bath was a fantastic bonus. The staff were incredibly friendly and spoke great English, even patiently understanding my rather poor Japanese. With its convenient location and a wonderfully comfortable sleep, I honestly couldn't have asked for anything more.
Everything was acceptable except the frequency of full room cleaning could be every three days instead of four. Secondly, the opening hours of spa in the morning could extend to 10 am. Thirdly, the free coffee served in the lobby should run until 10 am. Also, the coffee machine was broken down at 8:30 am or earlier and no replacement was there. It makes me wonder if they want to serve free coffee or not.
The Room with Japanese Garden located on Ground floor overlooking a magnificent indoor well curated and groomed Japanese Garden from the tatami floored Living room area and balcony seating area where guests can relax and enjoy with a peaceful mind. At nite they even have flood lights!
The room is spacious in 3 pax unit. Public bath is nice and clean but close so early at 9PM!! The breakfast was decently delicious and simple. Staff serving breakfast was kind and friendly.
The front desk staffs were nice and check out time is strictly 10AM and any extra quarter or half hour will be charged accordingly!! That’s sad…
Onsen in hotel was amazing and it’s free. Carpark is cheaper than other hotels and very convenient. Very near city centre and staff was very friendly and helpful. I will use this hotel again.
We enjoyed staying at this beautiful traditional hotel. Serene Japanese garden, friendly service and nice hot spring. We loved everything about this hotel and will recommend to others!
Although everyone couldn't understand each other, the waiters were very warm and welcoming, and there were gifts for the children, which made me happy ❤️

The hotel is conveniently located 15 min away from Hakata Station. It has a nice onsen, and provides many refreshments for free at different times of the day eg ice cream, Yakult and ramen. The breakfast spread is good, and the food is delicious.

GGuest UserI was packing my bicycle in a box in the lobby and Priyanka from the front desk was a huge help by providing a scale and finding a van driver to get me and my massive box there without being a sweaty mess. I am very grateful for the service, kindness and hospitality i was shown. I would 100% stay here again next time I go to Japan. They are located less than .4 miles from the airport and there is 24hr McDonalds and Lawson next door. I would recommend this place as a first stay in Japan.
P.S. If any upper management is reading this, Priyanka deserves a raise for going above and beyond for looking at bus schedules etc. without asking. You want people like her in your business.

GGuest UserThough location is a little far but the free shuttle bus to and fro Orio station made is super convenient for an onsen retreat. There's a direct bus from Kitakyushu Airport to Orio station too, which makes it even better. Thankfully, the staff kindly took note of the shuttle reservation request made during booking, otherwise, it would have been very inconvenient to contact them and expensive to get to the resort by other means. They left a note to check the official website for pick-up point but there was no specific information - something that can be improved. The location was found to be BEHIND Maxvalue Shop (see first few photos). The resort is visited by mainly locals so it was helpful to see and ask them for confirmation.
Facilities might a bit old but generally clean so it was okay. The room is nice and comfortable, particularly the view. It was very nice to see the hotel using reusable wares with even a refillable jug to get water from a machine at the shared space. Both sides of the natural onsen is switched between male and female everyday. Supper tantan noodles is great! Breakfast is not bad with both fusion western style and traditional Japanese options. It was a very nice and relaxing time!
