Lyon is a city of stairs and hills, and this hostel is near the top of one, 15 minutes from any metro stop on foot. Lyon is a city for walking, though.
The shared kitchen was nice, but often very crowded, especially around dinner time. The capsule beds in the dormitory were fine, comfortable and quiet. My locker's door didn't quite work, so I had to stow my valuables with the front desk during the day.
Staff was young, pleasant, and helpful.
While most of the guests were backpackers, there was a minority of older travelers, often staying in rooms.

Amazing view, but a bit of a trek if you walk up the hill on foot. The beds are super comfy, larger, and wider than usual. Had a very good nap after a long trip and before tackling the city by night and on foot: lively and safe. Toitels and shower rooms may benefit from a bit of TLC :)
Will be back.
The staff were friendly, quite good breakfast with a view. Room is quite small for 4 ppl, only has 2 sockets, the shower cubicle is inside the room and it only has a button to press for the water. But I had great roommates which made the experience positive.

Plus:
Very good hostel with its order and discipline. I liked breakfast, hot shower, the opportunity to buy skiffs cheaper, rent skis, heat food and teapot. Everything was convenient, understandable. Thank you.
Wishments:
For breakfast, cooked eggs would like to be.
Skiing for rent would like more new.
Minorities:
Minus only one is location. Far from the city center. In 5 minutes walk there is a bus stop № 2. It goes to Le Tour. If you need, for example, to Les Houches, you will have to get to Shamoni Here and get on another bus. Or walk to the Pelerin station, but how to go in ski shoes? Other buses do not pass next to the hostel. At the same time, the carriage is paid. It takes a few times a day, because all the shops are in the city too, you have to buy food and come back. And the bus this goes 2 times an hour, I'm tired of waiting for it and adjusting under it.
