Hostels in Heilongjiang, China

The atmosphere here is great, filled with young people from all corners of the world. It's a bunk bed dorm with curtains for privacy. Inside, there's a charging port and a small shelf for your belongings, plus two hooks. When you check in, you'll need to make your own bed with the provided sheets, duvet cover, and pillowcase, and return them to the front desk when you leave. The location is excellent, right on Central Avenue, just a short walk to the subway station, and there's a convenience store nearby. Meals are prepared in the communal kitchen. The room itself is relatively quiet. However, there are activities in the common area as late as 11 PM, and if your dorm mates don't close the door properly, it can get quite noisy. If you're an early sleeper or concerned about getting a good night's rest, you should definitely keep this in mind.

It's been years since I last stayed in a hostel. This time, traveling solo, I specifically chose a hostel to find fellow travelers, and it really helped a lot! I found someone to go to Hulunbuir with, and we had a fantastic time. The hostel was very clean, and the 8-bed dorm had an en-suite bathroom. I arrived in the middle of the night, so to avoid disturbing the sleeping occupants, I used the communal showers. However, I didn't expect to have to make my own bed with sheets and duvet cover, especially on the top bunk. I ended up sweating again after my shower from the effort! It was impossible to stand upright on the top bunk, making putting on the duvet cover incredibly difficult. The common areas were well-equipped. Overall, it was great, and I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Harbin.

If you're planning to visit the Harbin Ice and Snow World, remember to purchase spikes at the counter (8 YUAN). It's affordable and can prevent falls and injuries. Unfortunately, I slipped on the ice and badly hurt my ankle. Luckily, there's a nearby hospital, Harbin Shengfeng Hospital, just a 10-15 minute walk away (you can use Google Maps). The doctors there are helpful, but they don't speak English, so bring your passport and use Google Translate if needed. On a brighter note, I really enjoyed staying at this hostel. They have a large mirror and a hot water station where you can prepare instant noodles. Although they don't have a kitchen, you can easily get utensils and a mug from nearby convenience stores, especially if you're planning to make coffee. One thing I found really convenient was the international charger ports provided for each bed. Before checking out, remember to strip your bed and leave a note in the lobby to indicate your presence. I left a Malaysian flag as my mark.

The location of the hotel is very good, extending in all directions. The boss is very good, hospitable, the room is spacious and warm, the facilities are complete, and the price is very high.

The lady boss is very kind and helpful. The location is good, close to Central Street. There is also the Baiyi Market nearby for shopping, eating, visiting attractions and churches. It is very convenient.

The accommodation is conveniently located just a 2-minute walk from Friendship Palace Hotel metro station. The entrance is through a restaurant, which is very easy to find. The host speaks English well and was incredibly helpful with everything we needed. We had to check out at 5 AM, and there were no staff available at that hour, but the host went out of their way to assist us and even provided great recommendations for places to visit. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and truly appreciated the hospitality! [ P.S. This youth hostel is just the best youth hostel I have ever been to. The people are really nice, friendly and can speak english. This is a must place in Harbin. It's a lot of fun for kids and adults to be able to be creative, cook, and play music or sing on the stage. We made a pen out of wood, and made some baozi. I recommend it for people who want to have fun and make some new friends. We have great souvenirs of this place and hope to be able to come back soon. The Springer family

A large public area where you can wear large flowered fish skin jackets for free and take photos. I also bought two small fish skin pendants. Many of the postcards inside were taken by the boss himself. It is very clean. Everyone plays cards and checkers here. The boss is a good cook. I suggest that he open a restaurant in the future. Hahaha. This place is relatively remote and the pace of life is very slow. I go to the riverside for a walk every day to watch ice fishing and feel the breeze. It's quite comfortable. I stayed there for four or five days and will go to Mohe next. I hope this store will get better and better~

Friends who come to travel alone can come and experience it. I just arrived early, and the landlord arranged an early check-in for me, so that my tired body and mind can get a rest. If you want to travel, the landlord will also enthusiastically provide tour routes. This place is relatively close to Central Street and St. Sophia Cathedral. There is a direct bus downstairs, and it takes about ten minutes by taxi. It is recommended to form a group to go to the Ice and Snow World in winter. I came here in autumn and have no say. I will comment next time. When I am free, I will also organize a reunion or go there to exercise and relax. The network is also very fast. The landlord is a very clean person. You can also meet different friends here. Overall, it gives people a good feeling.

Highly recommended! Super convenient location, right by the subway exit. What's most important is how friendly and helpful the owner and staff are; they answer every question you have. Here, you get to meet many interesting friends from China and abroad, sharing meals and conversations. It's full of human warmth and the atmosphere is fantastic, completely different from a typical hotel stay. XingSu is definitely my top choice for any future trips to Harbin!
