I'm really happy with my stay here! It was just as amazing as it looked in the pictures. The retro vibe made me feel like I was living back in time during the 70s-80s. The famous Pai walking street is 7-minute drive away. Since there's no Grab or Bolt, renting a bike is the way to go. Walking for over 30 minutes can be a bit of a trek. Hotel got heaps of cats ❤️

Absolutely stunning little cottage cabins perched on the bottom slope of a hill. Close enough to the east side of ”downtown” pai (especially if you rent a bike). The sunset views from second floor bungalow balconies (I recommend #7; no one staying directly below) and the two cabins around the little pond are fantastic. For the negatives, the close proximity of the cabins can be annoying (when, for example, you have a selfish gap-year kid next door listening to his lame-ass music at midnight), which also means there's not a lot of sound privacy to most of the cabins. But it's not unbearable. The shower pressure is crappy (same as most places), and I would have liked bottled water every day, or a way to get drinking water other than walking to the reception during working hours to get more water. Overall, a really beautiful spot and well managed, recommended.
Boondee House

We really liked our one night stay at Boondee House, having booked last minute with a change of plans, we were so happy to have chosen this place. Great amenities, everything you could possibly need; lots of parking near the rooms, water, big fridge, fresh towels, hot shower, TV, hairdryer, lots of plugs, kettle. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Nice communal area with more facilities and small kitchen area. The whole place was very cute and the owner was so helpful and welcoming. Thank you Boondee House! We'd stay here again over any other resort or guesthouse in Mae Hong Son.

Very beautiful, very beautiful, I have sprung up, the idea of coming here to care for the elderly! It is not far from the Pai River. From the hotel to the city, you only need to cross a river, about 5 minutes. Although the breakfast is simple, it is delicious! Free coffee, the room is beautiful, perfect for vacation, sunbathing and leisure time! The only bad thing is that you will hear rat jumping on the roof at night.
The Good View Guesthouse

We stayed 2 nights in one of the rooms facing the breakfast area and did not have a problem at all with noise. We found our room comfortable and quiet. The beds are a little hard, but that seems to be everywhere in Thailand. One of our best nights sleep on our trip. The view is beautiful and the staff helpful. Would definitely stay here again in the opportunity arose.

Very beautiful hotel, the one at the front desk called A Fang can speak Chinese and can also help charter a car. There are many foreigners who go to Pai County, but they all travel on autos and motorcycles. It is easy for the Chinese to ride motorcycles, so they still rent cars obediently. The whole resort was ours on this day of staying here, and the feeling of chartering was great. Because there is a certain distance from the town, many people did not choose to live here, but it is really suitable for holiday resorts
Pai Cherkaew Boutique House

The location is excellent, you need to change slippers upstairs, it feels very comfortable and clean. The room and bathroom are large. The floor-to-ceiling windows have good vision. The service attitude of the hotel is very good, the breakfast is perfect, the environment is beautiful, suitable for long stay, and the price is very high.

I have to say that if it hadn’t been so noisy at night and into early morning (seemingly from people upstairs - perhaps either staff quarters or hostel style bunk bed rooms) then we would have rated this as a 4. We were on the first floor (224). The room was spacious and the polished concrete had been done in a stylised deliberate manner to achieve a look rather than purely as a cheap option. As reported before, the shower pressure and temperature are fantastic. Rooms were kept clean, had beds made up and where necessary as I had “bled slightly from a scooter wound” bedding changed, coffee and water were replenished daily. Air con and fan worked great and the bed linen was very good. From the first floor rooms you have a nice view over the rooftops and out towards the hills and can see the White Buddha. Although not great at English, the staff were efficient and friendly enough although we only saw them at check in and check out. I would say the location is very good. It is 50 metres from “walking street” where there is a good night market and a big range of bars and restaurants, some with live music. We would love to recommend this place but you have to be aware there could be some noise at night.

It is a bit remote, but we found that attractive. A beautiful view and lots of peace. Although we do not speak Thai, we managed to communicate very well thanks to the nice woman who welcomed us and provided dinner and breakfast. There is only Thai food, we found it very tasty.

We stayed here for one night doing the Hong Son Loop on Motorcycles. It’s a great stop over on route and it’s very quirky. To get to your room you have to crossover a small bridge with koi Karp swimming below you. I can’t thank the owner and a teacher that found my bag containing all my money, passport and credit cards that had dropped out of my backpack whilst leaving the hotel and end up on the road. I only found out 2 hrs later, when we went to buy something on route. I had a missed call from the owner called Si that explained that the teacher had handed it in to the police. The police gave me his number and I couldn’t thank him enough for saving my bacon!! I left him a 1000 baht, but he gave it to the police charity. What a man!!!
