Thank you for staying overnight with two couples. The room was quiet and the food and hot springs were good. The building is old, so it's calm, but the wallpaper is peeling off. I had a business in katashina village, so I was able to relax and saved.

Hotel location is a bit remote. It is more convenient to drive by car. But very special. The only thing is that the room privacy is too low. There are no curtains in the lobby.  There is no fence in the garden. People can see the house outside. Others are still possible. Cleaner

MMorningCWe had a pleasant stay at the Mitsuba House for our holidays. It’s a beautiful house, and has everything we need to cook and play. The Owner kept the house so nice and clean, and most importantly, the house is warm. I had a bad experience before staying in a Japanese House and it was very cold. The Owner is super friendly, walked us through the house to make sure everything is fine and we stay comfortably at Mitsuba House.
I will definitely like to stay at Mitsuba House again when we come to the area. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserBooked the Japanese style room with toilet. Shower room has to be shared on the 2nd floor. Room has no amenities at all. Basic hair dryer and hot flask are in the communal area. We had to set up the bed ourselves. Room was dusty and was freezing cold even tho there was heater from the air con on winter’s night. There’s instructions to learn how to kill the stink bugs. The hotel facilities are good but the overall experience wasn’t good.

So you need to wait for public showers and toilets
Because the hotel location is relatively remote
The landscape is very beautiful on snowy days

Yyimassistant teamVery recommended, the host is very helpful. There is breakfast and dinner similar to fine dining, delicious food every meal. The room is clean with an onsen as well. And the atmosphere is very good If you come back around here Will stay here again If you come a month with snow, it should be very good.

AA.AUThe hotel owner was sincere and polite. Although he didn't understand English, he was very attentive and used a translator to explain and communicate with us. The breakfast provided by the hotel is good. It is a traditional Japanese breakfast. It is comfortable to eat in the restaurant with Japanese benches. The location is good, just a minute or two away from Kusatsu Onsen.
