The hotel staff were amazing and very friendly. They took time to greet us and learn our children’s names, which was very kind. The staff did a great job and showed care during the earthquake and we felt safe as they did a thorough inspection of the property. The breakfast was great and offered a good variety of food. As wonderful as the staff was, we were disappointed with the beach. It is quite small and very rocky. We wish we would’ve known this before booking as we have small children who were looking forward to soft sand and swimming. One of our children got cut the first day due to the rocks. Had we been aware we would’ve prepared better or booked elsewhere. The pictures on the hotel site are a bit misleading. We tried to cancel our booking halfway through so we could travel to a softer beach down south, but the hotel rejected our request. We enjoyed the pools and found them very nice, however not being able to jump in is a bit unfortunate. Our young children wanted to jump and were told they couldn’t. The hotel just didn’t seem very kid friendly when it came to the amenities.

I spent four nights in the excecutive suite of the new wing and i was pleasantly surprised by the hospitality and excellent standard of this beautiful resort near the airport, which was not noticeable at all (no planes flying over or near the location). The hotel staff was always attentive, friendly and helpful. The beach was kept clean, the schools of little fish in the water indicating its purity. The restaurant Allegro's breakfast buffet offered a variety of different cuisine to choose from: tasty , fresh, appetizingly displayed. i especially enjoyed the local filipino treats like puto and bibinki. In addition i thoroughly enjoyed my vegetarian pizza at Delfino's and the refreshing thrist-quenching freshly-made juices at the juiceBar. I received two very relaxing treatments by Ms.Aileen at the Spa, with its peaceful and quiet atmosphere. Housekeeper Ms.Rose was impeccable at making sure i always had new bottles of drinking water. Although i did not require her daily housekeeping, my room stayed clean , towels orderly and my laundry was in perfect condition , delivered on time. This beautiful Resort deserves a five star rating in my humble opinion. Bravo and Thank you Bluewater Maribago, i know where i will be staying when i come back to the Philippines in the near future.

• The location is unbeatable—right in front of Alona Beach. Ang sarap gumising na literal ilang steps lang, white sand and clear water na agad. • Their pools are stunning—may infinity pool na overlooking the beach and may swim-up bars pa. Perfect spot para mag-chill with a drink. • Rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. Malamig ang aircon, malambot ang bed, plus may balcony pa. • Staff are generally friendly and accommodating. Madaling kausap, lalo na sa restaurant and pool area.

Safety: As a solo traveler, safety is paramount, and this hotel truly delivered. With security checks at the entrance and a second one in the lobby, I felt completely at ease throughout my stay. Facilities: Overall, the facilities were quite good. While not a brand-new hotel, the rooms were spacious and impeccably clean. The air conditioning was strong, and it was very quiet at night, which allowed me to sleep so soundly that I missed breakfast and ended up ordering takeout via Grab. The rooftop pool wasn't very large, but I went up to lounge for a bit. After several days of diving, I was too tired to actually swim. Service: Service was very responsive. During check-in, the staff mentioned I had the option to waive the deposit, and they even upgraded my room.

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights aand 3 days, and overall we were satisfied. The most impressive thing was the kindness of the staff. They were always smiling and greeeting first. I especially want to mention one person. While having breakfast in the restaurant, there was a staff member with a big smile whom I want to recongnize by her name: Her name was Andrea. She was so kind that food tasted even better. One thing I was disappointed about was room service. The TV didn't work in the room, so I couldn't wathch the news. Regular services including bedsheet & beth towels changes was not smooth.

Very satisfied and the staff are friendly.The breakfast very tasty and delicious.The room is spacious and clean.The bathroom is clean and complete of necessities.I would recommend this hotel to my friends and relatives.I would like to book again with my family next time.

Service is great, very accomodating and friendly staff. For the food, we dine at Galo, and the food and staff were superb! My kid enjoyed the pool and waterpark facilities. However, were a little bit dismayed in Pororo Park, staff there doesn’t even care or invite the children for their booth even it was empty, they seem to prioritize foreign kids than locals.

It was a best experience. We enjoy staying here for five days, the amenities and facilities are all clean and the staffs are all professionals. they will help you if and assist you. we have a lot of request since we have a bigger family and they help us. also the food was good. ☺️☺️

A very 'mixed' experience at this hotel- good parts and bad parts. The good: Very convenient location, quite close to the airport! Beds in the room were very comfortable and spacious- felt like we were sleeping in the clouds! Kitchenette is also very convenient! The bathroom is well designed, with a bathtub, even! The Bad: our room.(403) felt like it hadn't been cleaned/used in a while. There was a dead cockroach (a small one, thankfully!) in the bath/shower. When I walked from the bathroom to the bed with dry feet, my feet were very dirty just from walking those few meters! The hotel room is also quite old-style and could use a bit of renovation.

We just returned home from Crimson Resort and Spa Mactan. It was our first time in Cebu. It was a short but great trip. The highlights: Accommodations: We chose Crimson because we frequent high-rise hotels when traveling and decided this time we wanted a villa/bungalow type of room. No hallways and no elevators. Crimson checked those boxes. They also accommodated our requests for a king bed and first floor room. Activities and amenities: Our daughter loved Crimzone and the children’s pool. It was hard to get her to leave. The Saturday foam party was fun and the pool staff were engaging. My wife and I both availed the spa and wow, we can see why they won an award for Best Value in Asia. The price was affordable while the quality of service was top-notch. Food: The buffet breakfast was good and had a lot of variety. My favorite item was the fruit and veggie smoothies. Who knew bakchoy and mango blend well together? But it was the attentive staff that really made breakfast a great experience. We tried the 24-hour room service and I swear the chicken club sandwich was one of the best I’ve had in my entire life 5/5! The lowlights: Here are some reasons why we are not giving Crimson an excellent review. 1. Overpriced/low quality food in Saffron during ala carte dinner. Our first night we arrived in the evening and were hungry. For two people (our daughter is a toddler) we paid over 5000php for an appetizer, 3 entrees, one beer and one bottle of water. Honestly, the price would be ok for this amount of food if the quality was better. I would suggest Aka or Enye for higher quality food although we didn’t try either. Saffron was empty that night and we found out why. 2. Distance to places/sites. Crimson is quite far for shopping or eating at other restaurants. We hired a private car for 3 hours and was only able to visit two sites and one pasalubong store. Luckily it was only moderate traffic on that Saturday. 2500php for a sedan for 3 hours was reasonable. 3. The gift shop is waaaay overpriced. 950php for a small tube of sunblock seemed very high even at a resort. We also wanted some souvenirs, but there wasn’t much variety at all. 4. Our room needed some TLC. The paint in the nice tub was chipping, the caulking in the showers could use a refresh and there was a huge ipis (roach) in the closet. Luckily we spent most of the time outside the room. 5. No floaties or life vests for toddlers to use, even for rental. Despite having almost everything else, this would have been a nice touch. 6. We came to Cebu for mangoes and lechon, but Crimson didn’t offer these items and again, because of distance, it would have been nice to have some at the hotel. The bottom line: We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to others, however we would give them our full review so they are aware of the pros and cons.
