Our unit was warm when we arrived on a Winter’s afternoon, and very comfortable. Everything was clean and well-cared for. There was plenty of seating and the wall artwork was pleasant and appropriate. We liked the Information folder. The shower was not very powerful but was adequate and the bed was comfortable.
My recent stay at Oakridge Resort Lake Wanaka was overall a very positive experience, thanks to its fantastic amenities. After long days spent exploring the stunning surrounding landscapes, the hot pools were an absolute highlight. Soaking in the warm water under the stars was incredibly relaxing and a perfect way to unwind tired muscles. This was definitely a standout feature of the resort and something I greatly appreciated.
If I were to be particularly picky, the only minor annoyance during my stay was a faint but persistent hissing sound coming from the telephone line in my room. While it wasn't overly loud, it did become a little distracting when trying to get to sleep.
Despite this small issue, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Oakridge Resort.
The hotel's breakfast times are very strict. Five families stayed here, and one of them arrived for breakfast at 10 AM only to be denied entry. This meant we missed out on the pre-paid breakfast, which was a significant loss. I would not recommend the breakfast at this hotel; it's much better to head to the city center for some bread and milk, as the hotel's breakfast is truly mediocre. It was, in fact, the worst breakfast I've had during my 15 days in New Zealand.
The hotel itself is pleasant, and its location isn't too far from the city center, which would be acceptable if you're not traveling with kids. However, for us, with children, it was genuinely tiring because parking in the city center is neither convenient nor cheap.
While the hotel's overall environment and cleanliness were good, one minor inconvenience was the old-fashioned, fixed showerhead that couldn't be detached. All in all, this hotel is not very convenient for families with young children.
this hotel is close to the airport and has limited parking space. the rooms are excellent and our room came with a washer and dryer which was most convenient. they even provide free detergent powder for 2 washes. brilliant! plenty of eateries nearby within walking distance if you prefer not to drive into town. there's even a supermarket nearby for your daily needs. overall very happy with the hotel.
The hotel's location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk from the city center. It's clean, well-maintained, and fully equipped. Breakfast was delicious, though the selection was a little limited. There's a dedicated indoor parking garage available, but it comes with a fee. Even the coffee and burgers sold in the lobby were quite reasonably priced. Overall, it's an excellent choice.
Parking is really difficult in Queenstown. You must choose a hotel that is close to the city and has parking, and then walk to the streets. This hotel has 3 floors and no elevator. The conditions are good, the facilities are complete, and it has a small balcony. You can't hear the noise from the road. The front desk closes at 6 o'clock, and guests need to enter and exit from the garage entrance.
Mercure Queenstown Resort has offered very good services with great hospitality. The room given has a great view overseeing a big lake right from the middle. Livin (A name for New Zealander, I suppose) offered great hospitality for us and even treated us a VIP favour by giving an in room slipper.. thank you.. if you are lucky you can even spot a double rainbow…
Superb.. love Queenstown and Mercure Resort..
Also Accor membership is usable here.. bravo..
The hotel's facilities and environment are very good. The only thing that makes me angry is that when we checked in, the waiter asked us where we were from. The answer was China. The service attitude suddenly became bad, the smile disappeared, and the room we were given was in the corner with obstructed view.
We really enjoyed the beautiful view from our bedroom, which added a relaxing touch to our stay. The bed was very comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep. Breakfast was another highlight—not only was the food enjoyable, but we were lucky enough to get a window seat with a lovely view. The hotel also offers paid parking for guests, which was convenient. We appreciated the direct access from the hotel to the lake, making it easy to enjoy the surrounding nature. Additionally, the communal laundry room was a helpful amenity for longer stays
Really enjoyed my stay at Holiday Inn Queenstown Remarkables Park. The hotel is in a very convenient location—close to the airport, shops, and just a short drive into town. The rooms are clean, modern, and comfortable, with beautiful views of the Remarkables. Staff were friendly, helpful, and made the stay even better.
Perfect spot for both relaxing and exploring Queenstown. I’d happily come back again!

GGuest UserA microwave is available, but the property feels a bit dated. It's a 10-minute walk from the bus stop. Not recommended for those planning to use the skibus, as you'd still need to take another bus to Frankton Golf, and buses at that stop are often overcrowded, making it hard to board. It's recommended to have your own car, as on-site parking is available.

CCoola CThe hotel is located in a area called ” Kevin Heights' which is near the airport but opposite to the Queenstown city. However, the hotel is built as it own resort, it is very pleasant to be away from those tourist spot full of hotels and accommodations. If you look for a holidays like a retreat and quiet time, this hotel is your choice.
The hotel is full of facilities like indoors swimming pool, restaurant and bar with lake view, lot of self-service parking spaces (you need to pay for $4 NZD per hour or $16NZD for a day parking). The breakfast at the restaurant with the lake view that really give you a fresh start of a day before you are heading off to your adventures.
By the lake side you can go for a walk anytime you want is a very pleasant activities or you can order your water taxi from the front desk that will take you to the downtown of Queenstown. It is also treat yourself as a cruise trip on the Wakatipu lake.
GGuest UserThe location is very good, just opposite the Octagonal Pavilion. The hotel facilities are a bit old, which is why I like it, including the elevator buttons, which are old but well maintained and function normally. There is a casino in the hotel, which is doing good business.
GGuest UserEasy to find and within walking distance to the city center, but driving is easier during the evening when it is cold.
Very helpful and nice people always at the reception. Free washing machine and dryer at the same building. Deck has a bit of view of the lake.
Nothing to complain, except was not too sure the slippers were for re-use or not coz looked a bit dirty or not as white, so did not use them.

GGuest UserWalked out onto the balcony and we were met with these stunning views.
The time that we visited (May) meant that it was slightly too cold to be out on the balcony for too long, but the views that we enjoyed out of the window were magnificent.
When the first arrived the lady on the front desk was very friendly, and helpful.
We had asked for a double bed and had been allocated two single beds. She quickly contacted the ladies from house keeping and they very kindly sprung into action to help rectify the situation.
The housekeeping staff were nice and pleasant, and the location was just right for us to get out and about visiting some of the local attractions like the Kiwi birdlife park.
The big plus about staying at the highview apartments was having a parking space. When you visit queenstown you'll soon find out that in some places finding a parking space is like gold dust.
