Great
GGuest UserThe room isn't huge, but it has everything you need. The service was pretty good too. I had a minor issue, but the Chinese butler, Joey, was fantastic and sorted everything out, taking care of every detail. I'm really grateful to Joey and would recommend this resort island to friends because of him. The scenery is truly beautiful. During my stay, I didn't encounter any other Chinese guests on the island, mostly Russians, so it was a pure relaxation, 'lie flat' kind of vacation. There are also many restaurants to choose from on the island, and the prices are quite reasonable. Plus, there's a free speedboat transfer service to and from the airport.
GGuest UserIn our opinion, this hotel feels a bit like a Turkish resort. Since we came here after staying at Tinadhoo, the differences were quite noticeable. The restaurant doesn't have a great view, but the variety of food is decent, and there's a kids' corner. Buggies transport guests around the island, which is very convenient and fun for children. What we didn't like is that because of this, there are a lot of concrete paths, so you can't walk barefoot. The service was a bit disappointing; it felt very mass-produced. They didn't respond about our transfer or contact us themselves, so we had to find their counter at the airport on our own and call the hotel. This was probably because we weren't arriving by plane. We also didn't receive a welcome bag, and the bed for the third person was only made up after we called reception. These are minor things, but you tend to notice them more at a resort. Overall, we liked our villa; it wasn't new, but everything was well-maintained. In front of our villa was a lagoon, and beyond that a breakwater, so there wasn't really an ocean view. However, thanks to the breakwater, the lagoon was very calm. There's a reef, but it's quite monotonous; the corals are brown and all look the same, and you can only swim over them at high tide. There are large fish and stingrays, so there's enough to see for a couple of days. Overall, it's not bad, but we definitely wouldn't return. It would probably be a good choice for families with children, though, due to its proximity to the airport and kid-friendly amenities.
LLoLzhu- Pluses: The hotel is new, just a 7-minute speedboat ride from the airport. Extremely convenient, it's perfect for families with children and elderly. The facilities and cleanliness are practically new. The restaurants are also excellent, with five to choose from.
- Minuses: The marine life around the island is quite limited, and the ecosystem around the new hotel hasn't yet developed. Snorkeling enthusiasts strongly discourage this. The staff is relatively new, and some service needs to be improved. For example, the wait time for a taxi from your room can sometimes be quite long.
- Also, many rooms on the half-sand, half-water property overlook the breakwater, so be aware of this.
JJeffGCIf you are looking for a Maldivian getaway that balances island relaxation with a bit of ”city” energy and variety, SAii Lagoon is a fantastic choice. Unlike the more isolated private islands, this resort is part of the CROSSROADS Maldives project, which means you aren't just limited to one resort’s dining and activities.
🚤 Location & Arrival
One of the biggest perks is the 15-minute speedboat ride from Velana International Airport. After a long flight, being at the resort and checked in within 30 minutes is a luxury in itself. No waiting hours for a seaplane!
🛌 The Room Experience
The design here is very ”Boho-Chic”—bright, colorful, and modern.
• Sky Rooms: Great value with a beautiful balcony view of the lagoon.
• Beach Villas: The direct beach access is worth the upgrade. The ”creature comfort” pillows and the ability to customize your own bathroom amenities at the Aroma Bar were unique touches that made the stay feel personalized.
🍴 Dining & Activities
This is where SAii really stands out. Because it’s connected by a footbridge to The Marina @ CROSSROADS and the Hard Rock Hotel:
• Variety: You have access to over 10+ dining options. We loved Miss Olive Oyl for Mediterranean flavors, but having the option to walk over to the Hard Rock Café or the Ministry of Crab at the Marina kept things exciting.
• The Hub: The Marina has a discovery center, shops, and a beach club (Café del Mar style).
• Snorkeling: The house reef is decent, and we spotted plenty of colorful fish and even a few small reef sharks near the overwater walkways.
💡 Pro-Tips for Travelers:
1. Download the App: Use the SAii App to request buggies or book dinner tables—it’s much faster than calling the front desk.
2. Explore the Marina: Don't just stay on the SAii island. The sunset views from the Marina pier are some of the best on the island.
3. Hilton Honors: If you have status, the perks here (like breakfast or room upgrades) are well-recognized as it’s part of the Curio Collection.
Summary: Perfect for couples or families who want a vibrant, social atmosphere rather than total isolation. The proximity to Malé makes it the ultimate stress-free Maldivian escape!
Would I return? Absolutely, especially for a shorter trip where I want to maximize my time on the sand rather than in transit.
GGapOlkaA hotel with high European standards of service and a pleasant staff. It's located right next to the pier where sharks and rays swim up in the evenings. Since I didn't feel like eating much in the morning, the staff packed me a breakfast in a lunchbox. It's a shame I only stayed there for one day.
AAnonymous UserEven though it opened in 2017, the rooms are wonderfully neat and clean, and the Chinese-speaking staff at the front desk were very welcoming and attentive. The Ocean Villa we stayed in is actually just opposite the Lagoon Villa, and the rooms are exactly the same, which might be helpful for others to know. The all-inclusive three meals a day package felt a bit luxurious, as I only ended up eating two meals a day. You can step right out to the ocean, and the entire island is very clean. I've attached the menu and prices so everyone can decide for themselves whether to go for the meal package or not.
LLady KwenadiA Dreamy Island Escape at Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa
From the moment I arrived at the Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa, I was greeted with warmth and genuine smiles, making me feel instantly at home. The staff went above and beyond to ensure every detail of my stay was perfect — from helping with my luggage to offering personalized recommendations for activities. Their hospitality truly elevated my experience and made me feel valued throughout my stay.
I have traveled to over 50 countries and stayed in countless 5-star hotels, yet this is by far my favorite hotel. Every aspect, from the serene atmosphere to the attentive service, exceeded all expectations. Dining at the resort was a culinary delight, with seven restaurants and bars offering diverse international cuisines and refreshing cocktails. They also have on-site spa
Whether I was seeking adventure with activities like snorkeling and jet skiing or simply relaxing on the beach, the Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa offered an idyllic setting. The attentive staff’s care and hospitality made my stay unforgettable — truly a paradise made perfect by the people who run it.
MMayangSabSeaview is a must if you will be choosing any of the Kaani hotels' room. Seaview rooms are often in demand and on high prices but lucky enough to be able to book 2 days during peak season, same day. Staff and excursion teams are very helpful, theybreally do their best to take care of you. Team Octopus(excursion team) really takes care of you and get you nice pictures and videos of the excursion. 1 day tour is a must to get in Maafushi Island. Bfast is decent but dont eat too much if you will be doing the sharkbay tour as you will be proned to seasick. 5 days travel to Maldives as a whole is a enough.
GGuest UserThis was my fourth trip to the Maldives but first in many years. In the past I always stayed at an island that required an airline transfer + flight which took another half-day or more. This time I chose Baros based off reviews, being part of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, and location. The location could not have been better. After landing in Male it took about 5 minutes to deplane + another 5 to go through immigration and customs. Moments later I was met by the hotel staff and placed on a speedboat. 30 minutes later was I was in paradise and headed to my villa. The entire staff was exceptional and Sita took care of EVERYTHING. The villa was beautiful, the beaches pristine, the meals delicious, the service top-notch, and the dolphin cruise was extraordinary. I cannot wait to return!
Kkim.juneeeeeeeIt was a very last minute decision to travel to Maldives. 10 hours before I book then flew over already. This resort is a resort that I see cheapest that includes food and drinks but take note water sport and diving and certain food is not included. Service is great, staff is very warm. Food is ok but not the greatest. One important thing for Maldives is many resort when transfer from airport to the resort needs to add on charge but for this resort is inclusive. If you are kinda on a budget trip to Maldives this resort can be the consideration. Aside from these resort establish since 2022 condition still ok compared to same level of resort.
