Hard Rock Hotel Maldives

Great

My wife and I were extremely satisfied with our stay at Hard Rock Hotel Maldives. The experience started smoothly even before check-in. We had arrived in Malé late the night before, and the Hard Rock team contacted and coordinated directly with the hotel we were staying at, making our transfer to the resort very easy and stress-free. All of the staff we met were friendly, polite, and welcoming. As an Accor Diamond member, I had originally considered staying at the Pullman or Sofitel, but after researching the different resorts, we felt that Hard Rock offered the experience that suited us best—and we were very happy with that decision. One of the biggest surprises was just how much there was to do. The resort offered many complimentary activities, entertainment, and shows. We first met one of the instructors, Pensi, during another dinner/show, and because she was so friendly and enthusiastic, we decided to join her hammock/silks class. It ended up being a lot of fun. She also performed in her own show the following day, which was amazing and became one of the highlights of our stay. My wife and I are not really into water sports, but we decided to try kayaking and were very glad we did. It gave us some beautiful views of the resort and surrounding water, as well as some great photos. Cycling between the connected islands was another simple activity that turned out to be surprisingly memorable and gave us some amazing photo opportunities along the way. Breakfast had a huge selection and everything we tried tasted great. We also ordered in-room dining, which was very easy through the resort's dedicated app. Getting around was simple as well. We could book a buggy through the app or use the bicycles that were available around the island. We stayed in a Platinum Overwater Pool Villa, and the room was clean, modern, spacious, and very comfortable. We could watch the sunrise from our private pool and also step directly from the villa into the ocean below. It was exactly the kind of Maldives experience we had imagined. We came expecting beautiful scenery, clear water, and amazing photos and videos, and Hard Rock certainly delivered all of that. What we did not expect was how much the activities, recreation, entertainment, and shows would add to the experience. They made the stay much more enjoyable and memorable than simply staying at a beautiful resort. We also appreciated seeing the resort manager attend Pensi's show and personally speak with guests. It gave us the impression that the management team genuinely makes an effort to engage with guests, listen to feedback, and make everyone’s stay as comfortable as possible. Overall, Hard Rock Hotel Maldives gave us everything we had hoped for from our Maldives trip, plus much more than we expected. We would be very happy to stay again.

Villa Nautica Paradise Island Resort

A. Family trip, two villas. One sunset deluxe beach pool villa, and one sunset beach pool villa. 1. The deluxe villa is very luxurious and new, with air conditioning in the bathroom, but it's far from the restaurant and relatively further from the beach compared to non-deluxe rooms. 2. The regular villa is next to the restaurant, very close to the main pool and the lobby. However, it's older than the deluxe villa and its bathroom doesn't have air conditioning. B. The hotel's location is excellent, just a 20-minute speedboat ride from Malé airport. C. We bought the full board package. The restaurant specializes in Indian cuisine, which we really enjoyed. Juices and beverages are only available at breakfast. For lunch and dinner, you can only order à la carte; soft drinks are $5, juices are $10, plus an additional 27% service charge and tax. Haha... D. The excursions are too expensive, it really hurt my wallet (see picture). It's better to book them on a local island. E. You can snorkel near the overwater bungalows and the jetty, but there aren't many marine creatures, and the water quality is just average. Overall, the hotel offers great value for money. Next time, I definitely need to visit a local island, it's so much more economical... PS. It's best to download WhatsApp in advance. Our butler didn't really use WeChat and was often unreachable...

Location: Just a 7-minute speedboat ride from Malé Airport, this resort is perfect for families with young children or seniors visiting an island for the first time, eliminating any worries about seasickness or airsickness. Facilities and Service: As a new hotel opening at the end of 2025, the facilities and service are top-notch. They won't treat you differently for only staying two nights or having limited English. The staff is super enthusiastic and will proactively use translation software to communicate. There are also Chinese-speaking staff on the island, so there's absolutely no need to worry if your English isn't perfect. Dining: We opted for the all-inclusive package, and the food at all the restaurants was absolutely fine. The mini-bar was replenished promptly, and the room could be cleaned multiple times a day, with mini-bar items restocked each time. Additional Services: They offer complimentary rentals of snorkeling masks, fins, paddleboards, and kayaks. There are also clubs for children and teenagers, making it completely worry-free for those traveling with kids. They even provide a free photo service, allowing you to choose one photo to print and take home. Snorkeling: The snorkeling is perfectly adequate for beginners. Summary: This was my first overseas trip with my two children, aged 10 and 12, and their first island experience, and it was absolutely wonderful throughout. It's very friendly for families with older children, and I highly recommend Dusit D2 to any families in a similar situation.

SAii Lagoon Maldives, Curio Collection by Hilton

As a resort offering great value for money, we were all very satisfied. At the airport, look for your contact person at counters A17-18 to arrange your speedboat transfer. Firstly, this island is connected to the Hard Rock Hotel and Marina Hotel, which means you get to experience three islands in one. You can move freely between them, and there are 11 restaurants in total. We went to the Hard Rock Cafe chain restaurant one evening, and dinner for four cost us $200. We stayed for 3 nights, rotating between a Sky Room, an Overwater Villa, and a Beach Villa, one night each. The difference between the Sky Room and the Beach Villa is that the Sky Room is on the second floor with better views, while the Beach Villa is on the ground floor with direct access to the beach from the balcony. Each has its pros and cons. The Overwater Villas have room numbers starting with 1, and you can directly access the sea for snorkeling. The hotel has an app called 'SAii'. You can use it by scanning the QR code on your room TV upon check-in. It's available in Chinese. You can use it to request transfer buggies and sign up for many free activities. I initially thought we'd just relax for three days, but it turned into a bit of an 'intensive' trip with so much to do! Diamond members have a happy hour from 5-6 PM, offering three types of snacks/canapés and unlimited complimentary drinks and alcoholic beverages. We ate instant noodles on the first and third nights, and at Hard Rock on the second night. With happy hour snacks and drinks, plus breakfast, we had plenty to eat. The hotel breakfast was quite good, though it was always a bit windy due to the sea breeze. The speedboat transfer to and from the island takes 15 minutes, but it's very hot and stuffy inside. Our group of four tipped the butler $20 in total. For the overwater villa, they allowed us to check in at 11 AM, and we moved to a different room at 2 PM the next day. We tipped $2 each time for luggage transfers. As we moved rooms daily, we didn't tip for daily housekeeping. The hotel offers complimentary rental of snorkels, masks, and fins. We even saw a sea turtle up close during one of the free activities. Diamond members can also rent paddle boats and yellow kayaks for free for one hour daily. Bicycle rental on the island costs $10 for 24 hours. In the evenings, you can find many small crabs 🦀 and hermit crabs 🐚 on the beach. Recommendations: Bring instant noodles and snacks to the island, and a swimming float from home if you want to just relax in the water. The island accepts USD, or you can use Alipay/WeChat Pay.

Excellent hotel with top-notch service. I stayed in a suite and was impressed with the amenities: slippers, shower caps, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, hair conditioner, shower gel, a shaving kit, hairdryer, iron, and they even brought an extra blanket – I really appreciated that! The sea view was stunning, and everything felt new and clean. We also tried the Balinese massage at the spa, which was amazing – the girls did a fantastic job! We didn't want to leave; we loved everything: the beach, the food, and the friendly atmosphere. We visited 5 islands and only stayed one day here, deciding to take a trip to Gili. We didn't want to leave, and if we could redo our trip, we would allocate more days for this hotel. It felt just like home, thank you! And most importantly, there's a bikini beach, which was a welcome relief from having to wear clothes all the time. Highly recommend!!!!

The Ultimate Healing Retreat: A Luxurious Escape for the Soul If you are looking for a place to truly disconnect from the noise of the world and find your inner peace again, Grand Park Kodhipparu is the ultimate destination. After experiencing a period of burnout, this resort was exactly what I needed to recharge and find a fresh perspective on life. Seamless Arrival & Pristine Beauty From the moment we deal with the staff at the arrival area, the experience was effortless. The resort provides a dedicated luxury speedboat that picks you up and drops you off directly at the airport. It takes away all the stress of travel logistics. The island itself is incredibly well-maintained. The sand is powdery white, and the entire resort is kept spotlessly clean, preserving the natural beauty of the Maldives. A Sanctuary for Peace What I appreciated most was how the resort caters to both physical and spiritual well-being. They have a beautifully maintained mosque on the island, which is very serene, clean and well-kept. It added a layer of calm and convenience that made the stay even more meaningful And not to forget, for your food of mind, they also have a mini library so that we can lay down through out the stay accompanied by the book of our choice. It can be borrowed & later returned via the reception. Unforgettable Highlights Snorkeling from the Villa: One of the best parts of the stay was being able to jump straight into the crystal clear water for snorkeling right under my room. The marine life is vibrant and right at your doorstep. Dolphins at Breakfast: Imagine sipping your morning coffee and watching dolphins play in the distance. We were lucky enough to spot them during breakfast, which was a magical way to start the day. Stargazing: During serene night, either near the beach or while you slowly brisk walking back to your room, it’s surely the perfect place to just enjoy the Maldivian night sky with the beautiful shining stars smiling at you. The Staff: The service here is world-class. Every staff member is genuinely kind, attentive, and dedicated to making your stay perfect. They really go the extra mile to ensure you feel at home. The Perfect Cure for Burnout The atmosphere at Grand Park Kodhipparu is incredibly quiet and private. It is the perfect place to sit with a book, listen to the waves, and clear your mind. I left the island feeling like a new person, with a renewed spirit and a calm heart. Final Verdict: A 10/10 experience. Whether you are seeking luxury or a deep mental reset, this is the place to be. We cannot recommend it enough! 😘

Our return to Bandos Maldives for another vacation only confirmed that we made the right choice. Coming back here is always a true pleasure. It's the perfect blend of stunning nature, impeccable service, a cozy atmosphere, and the genuine hospitality of the entire staff. We'd like to extend special thanks to the reservations team. Their attentiveness, responsiveness, and professionalism helped us quickly resolve an erroneous duplicate booking we had made. This was incredibly important to us, and we truly appreciate their understanding and willingness to help. A huge thank you also goes out to the Russian-speaking front desk staff member. Their kindness, patience, and willingness to assist made resolving the issue as comfortable and stress-free as possible. It's really wonderful to experience such attentive service towards guests. Thank you to the entire Bandos Maldives team for the high level of service, warm welcome, and unforgettable memories. It's because of people like you that we want to return here again and again. We eagerly await our next visit to this beautiful island!

Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa

Sheraton Maldives Full Moon is an excellent resort with a beautiful island setting and a truly relaxing atmosphere. The staff are exceptionally friendly, professional, and always helpful, which really makes the stay memorable and comfortable from start to finish. That said, there are a few areas that could be improved. The entertainment offerings are quite limited and would benefit from enhancement. The kids’ playground should be upgraded as soon as possible, with more engaging and modern facilities. In addition, more activities for adults—especially in the evenings—would greatly enhance the overall guest experience. For water activities, it would be great to see more attractive and value-for-money packages offered, as this would encourage guests to participate more and enjoy the marine experiences the Maldives is famous for. Overall, it is a wonderful resort with outstanding service, and with improvements in entertainment, kids’ facilities, adult activities, and water sports packages, it could easily be one of the best family-friendly resorts in the Maldives.

We loved our stay. Everything was amazing. All team members are super helpful and friendly. Food was amazing, with a lot of plant based options (vegan). We decided to book the hotel due to reviews regarding the food We were only not very happy with the fact that we are not allowed to swim from our water villa before 9am, when the lifeguards start working.  We would recommend adding signs for guests to not feed the fish, as we saw some throwing even eggs (!) in the water by the restaurant. Also, to have some place (hooks or rack?) in the bathroom were we can dry clothes. Another idea would be to add daily morning yoga classes. Also consider placing families with young kids in water villa rooms that are not so close to couples, for a better relaxing experience.

One of the best hotels on Maafushi Island. The hotel arranges airport transfers from Velana International Airport, complete with full assistance – luggage handling and refreshing drinks. They are accommodating with early check-ins without extra charges. The hotel has its own Bikini Beach, which is cleaned daily. A wonderful breakfast is included, depending on your booking rate.
