Laos is not a rich country, but luxury hotels seem to be particularly fond of this country, especially Luang Prabang. Among them is Amantaka, which is a must-visit for Aman enthusiasts.
During my half month in Laos, I experienced all the good hotels in this country. As expected, Amantaka is the best. The noble experience begins when the front office manager personally drives to the previous hotel to pick you up. The appearance of every customer service person in the entire hotel seems to be strictly controlled. They are all pure and peaceful, so that wherever you walk in the hotel and meet the staff, you will see the pure and kind smiling faces, which will calm your heart. ,slow down. Although the hotel is located in the center of the city, it is quiet amidst the hustle and bustle. The hotel provides free shuttle tutu service to facilitate guests to explore the ancient city; it also thoughtfully provides free afternoon tea and laundry services. After swimming, you can use the steam and sauna rooms, and the facilities are well equipped. Monks will pass by the hotel entrance, and the hotel will provide free supplies and sticky rice to guests who want to experience alms. The hotel also gives guests woven bags and hats as souvenirs. It was an unforgettable and perfect experience in Amman Targah, and I hope to come back next time for a sunset cruise.

Amazing! Highly recommend! If you can stretch your budget a bit, it's definitely worth trying – you won't regret it! All my friends were very satisfied! A special shout-out to the housekeeping staff; they discreetly and proactively cleaned up the wet floor from our swimming. So thoughtful! I was in such a rush when leaving that I didn't get to thank them, but I didn't hesitate to leave a tip at the front desk. I hope the hotel sees this and gives them the recognition they deserve!
A pleasant hotel and very kind, polite and helpful staff. There are some terraces and a swimming pool where you can relax and have great views over the Mekong river. We had a river facing room with a large balcony. The room itself was comfortable and relatively clean and the balcony had a chairs, a sofa, a table and clothes drying rack. The hotel is located a little out of town however, offers a free golf cart service to the night market area and other locations. This service is pretty much on call at anytime - I guess within some reasonable hours. There are a few shops close buy where you can purchase essential items and alcohol. The closest small supermarket is Chinese owned so if you speak Chinese it is easy to communicate; and there is a 7 Eleven store a little further on. A pharmacy is also close by and located between the Chinese supermarket and the 7 Eleven. We didn't use the swimming pool however, it appeared to be well maintained a clean. The breakfast we excellent and multiple choices to suit most nationalities. There is a covered outdoor terrace where you can eat breakfast with views over the Mekong. I personally felt the price was a little too high for the hotel.

Early check-in, late check-out, breakfast anytime.
The location is central, and the staff are friendly.
For the price in the 100,000 won range, it was the most satisfying experience I've ever had.
I'd love to try other U-Hotels in other areas.
My 4 night stay at The Grand Luang Prabang was excellent! The hotel is beautiful. It was a former palace during colonial times and I loved the plentiful lily pads, lotus flowers, and dok champa trees. The staff were also truly incredible. While the hotel is a bit far from downtown Luang Prabang, they were always willing to drive me there for dinner or to explore the night market, and it was really appreciated. If you want to have a special stay at a truly unique hotel, book with The Grand Luang Prabang, it will really add to your overall experience.
I am very satisfied, especially the hotel environment and swimming pool. My children like it very much. The surrounding is also very quiet. The waiters are very nice and enthusiastic. They can speak some Chinese. When I left the hotel, my child's things were left behind. I came back to Vangrong a few days later and tried to find them. It was a worthless thing, but the hotel still kept it! It's really good! ⭐⭐Friends who drive by themselves should note that the hotel entrance is a one-way street. There will be police officers catching traffic violations near the hotel in the afternoon...
The most perfect thing about this trip to Luang Prabang is booking this hotel. Manager Song Fan is very nice. We went to the foreigner street to play, and he sent us out. Later, we got lost, so he drove to pick us up. Full of security! People are very careful, and their Chinese is also very good, and communication is barrier-free!
Secondly, the hotel's meals are very delicious, and there are no blind spots! As soon as you come in, there are ice wet towels to wipe your hands and delicious lemon honey tea~
The sleeping environment is very quiet at night, and the pillows are also very comfortable. My mother is the kind who can't sleep with a little noise, but she slept very well in this hotel for two nights👍
The facilities include SPA gym, and free afternoon tea
In addition, it is very good, very good, very good! !
The hotel rooms are simply decorated, although not luxurious, but very comfortable, with good facilities and hygiene. The environment inside the hotel is very good. The stay is comfortable and the experience is good.
This hotel is about 10 minutes drive from the city center. There are pick-up and drop-off vehicles. There is a timetable every day. So it’s not too annoying to travel. Breakfast is generally nothing to have quality things, just ordinary food. The hotel is built next to a rice field. The scenery is not bad. It is suitable for travelers who like to stay away from the city. The hotel equipment is a bit old. The shower faucet in the room is broken on the last day. I am too lazy to fix it.
Facilities: The hotel facilities are relatively complete, with free laundry, gym, tea table, chess table, and complete toiletries in the room, basically in accordance with domestic standards;
Sanitation: The room is relatively clean and cleaned in time every day;
Environment: The layout of the whole hotel is good. The hotel lobby is in front and the swimming pool is behind the lobby. It is good for swimming or playing with children. There are two-story accommodation rooms on both sides of the swimming pool with balconies. The room area is generally large. I like it very much.
Service: The boss is a fellow Yunnan compatriot. The service is warm and thoughtful. There will be warm reminders for accommodation after booking the hotel. Going to the hotel is simple and clear. There are also airport pick-up or drop-off services. We went to the hotel according to the boss's instructions at the time. We were dropped off at the station on the return trip. It is very convenient to go to Yangren Street. There are cars to pick up at any time, less than 10 minutes by car.
A one-day tour (for 2 people) is provided for a two-night stay: This special project is very good, including the visit to the West Falls, the Grand Palace, etc. When you come back from the waterfall, you can drink rice field coffee and eat Laotian specialties. Of course, you have to pay for your own meals. The food the boss took us to eat was delicious and cheap, very comfortable. In the morning, we went to participate in alms and visit the night market. The boss also accompanied us throughout the whole process. The whole process was like a private tour guide. The arrangement was very thoughtful, including boat rides and elephant rides. The boss can arrange thoughtfully, of course, the cost is at your own expense.
Overall, I am very satisfied and comfortable.

Great
NNuytsiaFloribundaOur stay had a lot of high points and a lot of low points.
Starting with the high points, the grounds and room were incredible. Our experience at the spa was one of the best we’ve had. The cocktails and Laos-style burger we had for lunch one day were phenomenal. The staff were charming and very accommodating.
However, there were a few aspects that were far below the experience expected of a 5 star hotel. First, cocktail service around the pool was abysmal. On almost every occasion we had to go searching for a staff member to take our order, and then the cocktails more often than not took more than half an hour to arrive. This is despite the fact that we seemed to be the only people ordering F&B at that time, i.e. they were not busy at all.
Second, the breakfast was a disappointment every day - we were told we could order eggs or noodles, and had to repeatedly press the staff to find out what type of eggs and noodles, and we only discovered on the last day that there was a menu with additional options. We ordered poached eggs on toast, and the eggs had not been drained of excess liquid, and the bread was entirely soaked through. An order of waffles took over an hour to come out - first it was delivered as a pancakes, and then they just forgot about it despite repeated follow ups. The “local” Laos options lacked flavor - very little of the herbs and spice that makes Laos food great. I think this and the pool service issue are primarily the result of a lack of training and instruction for staff - they were clearly doing their best, but did not know what to do.
Third, the pool area needs a lot more spent on maintenance. The decking is cracking and falling apart. The mosaic tiles in the pool are falling apart, A LOT of the tiles are missing, and I got a very large laceration on my forearm from the sharp edge of a tile sticking out. If this pool were in a western jurisdiction, it would not meet health and safety standards.
Fourth, the gym was not worth visiting if you want to lift weights. Possibly the worst weights offering I’ve seen for a hotel of that price and with that much space.
We want to reiterate how great and enthusiastic the staff were. I think this is primarily a management oversight, training, and maintenance capex issue.
GGuest UserFacilities: Perfect, very suitable for travel, very clean and refreshing
Sanitation: very clean, breakfast is also very good
Environment: The swimming pool is right by the river, very good
Service: Very good front desk, the most satisfactory stay abroad, the price is very good, and there is a private bathroom

GGuest UserThe hotel was clean and tidy, making me feel right at home. Both Manager Wang and the front desk staff were incredibly nice. While time was tight this time, I'll definitely be back.
The hotel staff thoughtfully prepared welcome fruit upon check-in.
They even lent me an electric bike to ensure I could attend the alms offering at 5:30 this morning. During the alms offering, I was able to observe the monks' piety up close. They even left any extra food on the sidewalk for the needy to enjoy. This was deeply moving.
The hotel's breakfast mainly consisted of Chinese food, with fruit provided. I felt it was a thoughtful touch, especially for Chinese palates.
Manager Wang also enthusiastically explained some of Laos to me and personally escorted me to the train station. I was truly moved.
Although my stay was only two days, I was deeply moved by the warmth and warmth of the Lao people. Yesterday's tour guide's fluent English delighted me greatly.
I give the hotel and the Lao people a perfect rating! I hope more tourists can come to this small country and experience its gentleness and romance.
WWeaver328442Although this hotel is not located in the town of Luang Prabang, it takes 20 minutes by tuk-tuk (the road is not very good), this should be the most special hotel in the world. I especially experienced the tent room, and it was definitely a unique experience to fall asleep every day listening to the sound of the river. The food in the hotel comes from its own organic farm, and there are many projects to experience. This is definitely a good place to escape from the world. The hotel has a shuttle bus to the center of Luang Prabang.

WWeiweilawThe room was incredibly spacious, feeling more like a suite with a huge bedroom and an oversized bathroom. What I loved most was the extra-long desk – finally, a place to charge all my photography gear! It was also super convenient to sit there and organize my photos. The hotel's butler, a lovely lady, spoke excellent Chinese and was incredibly warm and helpful. Whatever I needed, I just asked her, and she arranged everything perfectly. All in all, it was a very enjoyable trip.

GGuest UserWe had breakfast with swallowtail butterflies fluttering around the pond in the courtyard.
The food was served promptly and we were able to relax in comfort.
I never expected to find freshly ground coffee available in the room.
🏊The pool is small but pleasant.
