ReidoIt was my first trip to Kampot so I searched for a hotel which was close to the city center, with
good reviews, spacious rooms, at a good price. Chateau Kampot fit perfectly with what I was
looking for. The hotel was newly opened in the beginning of 2026. I like the colonial style
architecture combined with a very modern design. I especially liked the arched wall openings throughout the interior and exterior of the building. I booked the Executive Suite for my 4 night stay.
The check in process upon my arrival was very smooth and pleasant. After check in, the
person at the reception (front) desk provided me with a map of the city and pointed out several recommended places to visit.
My room was very spacious and ultra clean. It came with a couple of lounge chairs to relax in and a nice balcony with a table and chairs to enjoy the fresh air and views of the city. My favorite part of the whole room was the bed. The linens were so crisp and clean; the mattress had an additional pad which felt like you were sleeping on a cloud. I travel quite a bit and sometimes stay at luxury hotels and the bed at Chateau Kampot was one of the best I slept in.
I enjoyed the very nice pool which included a jacuzzi and a small peaceful water fall. The pool
was long enough to swim some laps for exercise. There was a small fitness center with
dumbbells, weightlifting bench, and 2 cardio machines to keep my exercise routine going
during my stay. There is also a nice spa in the hotel with massages and body scrubs & wraps
at a reasonable price. The hotel also gives you a complimentary 30 minute massage in addition
to 30% discounts on other spa services at the time of my stay.
The breakfast was well prepared and delicious. You select off the menu with either Western or
Asian offerings. My favorite was the eggs Benedict; the fact that it was done perfectly shows the skill of the chef. The coffee brewed with local beans was also of excellent quality.
The staff members at the hotel are very professional and customer focused. The gentleman at the reception desk were always friendly and pleasant. They were also eager to help with anything to make your stay in Kampot enjoyable. One gentleman at the reception desk
arranged a tuk tuk driver for a day tour of Bokor Mountain. The driver was so friendly and
spoke perfect English which made for a wonderful day.
This hotel is family-owned and focused on providing their guests with the best experience.
During my stay, two family members on separate occasions approached me to see how my stay was going and asked for feedback on how they could improve their hotel and services. This personal interaction with their guests display their desire to make their hotel the best it could be.
I highly recommend the Chateau Kampot and will definitely stay there again for my next trip to
Kampot.

Guest UserI stayed here for a training trip. Although it was a bit far from the training venue, the hotel's central location in Kampot made it incredibly convenient to access nearby restaurants and supermarkets, so I was very satisfied with the location. The room I was assigned was spacious and airy, which was lovely, but on the other hand, the shower stall was extremely cramped and inconvenient to use, which was a shame. Additionally, the old air conditioner was quite noisy, and a large number of ants appeared in the middle of the night, making it very difficult for me to sleep. However, the front desk staff were excellent and their warm hospitality really made up for it. Given the superb service and convenience, I really hope they can improve the hardware aspects like air conditioning and hygiene management.

I absolutely loved my stay at this resort. The facilities are exceptional — from the stunning swimming pool and the spacious, flower-filled yard with fruit trees, to the well-equipped gym and charming restaurant that serves delicious foods whole day. The outdoor areas are thoughtfully arranged, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere throughout the property.
What truly made our experience special was the hospitality of the staff. In particular, I’d like to mention one of staff Saly, who greeted us with warmth and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfectly arranged. He even connected us with a friendly and English-speaking Khmer tuk-tuk driver who took us on a fantastic private day tour to five major landmarks at a very reasonable price. They helped us to book tickets to Phnom Penh and to use their motorcycle to the downtown.
I’ve uploaded plenty of photos to capture the beauty of this resort — it truly leaves a lasting impression.

The room was great and comfortable. Though the outdoor tub was not usable as it was dirty. The staff are nice and although they switch lights off at 10pm, it was nice and cozy. Needs a bit of an upgrade though or some upkeep.

Guest UserThis was my second stay. The service remained friendly and the room was clean. After I reported mosquito bites on the first night, housekeeping cleaned the room and added fragrance. I appreciate the quick response. Breakfast offered a wide selection, including bread, cereal, hot dishes, and a live station for noodles and eggs. Overall, we were satisfied and will come back again. For improvement, the pool appeared murky, likely due to high guest volume. And the food prices are slightly high given the average quality (we had khmer food, $9 for soup, $6 for salad).

Jacqueline MerrittI had fun staying there... It was cleaner than expected... but the only draw back is the henhouse from the photo... the chicken started crowing since 4am one after another and couldnt sleep...may be if you request the other side of the hotel, the problem should be solved. 😅
