Hotels With Gym in Crete, Greece

The spa - hamam, sauna and indoor pool (1m deep though?!) is the hotel’s best feature. There is no beach access though, so I went to Nea Hora and Golden beach. Rooms - too small, lack of storage space, complex buttons and unnecessarily complicated console. It was quiet even though I was given a 2nd floor room. The overall signage in the hotel is confusing too. Beds and pillows - huge and comfy. Food - excellent. Massage decent. Toiletries good. Only frontal views are of the sea, but cost 10x more! Otherwise - trash can views!😤 A la carte breakfast - too slow, you eat less, always a misunderstanding… and after you order they take away the menu… Rooftop pool - a scam! Sunbeds always occcupied and need to be booked to see the sunset 🙄 there is another rooftop on 7th floor but after 10min you want to leave, because there are no showers, a pool, toilet or a bar… Staff is young, fakely polite, too slow and not very responsive - obviously trained for certain types of guests (culturally unexperienced). So even to get a locker in the spa you had to wait to be explained how to unlock it (and pass a test?!), even though there are two people at the reception desk. My coffee capsules, sweetener, and teas were not replaced the following morning during the housekeeping visit and a used glass was not washed. The balcony pool is tiny and got a lot of fluff from the street, plus I didn’t feel comfortable using it with it being visible from the street and building right across the street. I was also called at 21:30 (I was asleep?!) to check whether I was satisfied with a complimentary 30min massage (due to the poor room view)… 🤷🏼♀️ I understand that it is a new hotel and they are trying their best but I also paid 800+€ for two nights and was frustrated during 50% of my stay… 😒 I attended a high school for tourism and hospitality, worked as a masseuse, also and worked in 5-* hotels Chania 30 years ago, but stayed in a multitude of 4-5 star hotels worldwide since. Especially in Asia where the service is top notch. Therefore, all of this is not acceptable for such a high price. Yes, the welcome drink is nice, and so is the complimentary massage, but you should do better, Hilton!

Apartment Stella Paradise by Checkin is very conveniently located in Hersonissos - the main city beach is just 5 minutes walk around a corner, 10 minutes of pleasant walk to the city promenade with restaurants and bars, and no more than 20 minutes walk along the coastal line of hotels, restaurants and small pebble beaches to the best nearest sandy beach of Sarandari. The apartments themselves are quite budget style, but at the same time is very comfortable accommodation option for travelers who appreciate the optimal combination of price and quality. Our room consisted of a small bedroom, and a living room with a sofa bed and a small kitchen equipped with a stove, fridge and kettle. For those who prefer to cook while traveling, there is a necessary minimum of cooking equipment, but we have ordered breakfasts, which were covered by Stella herself the owner of the apartments. I would like to say a special thank to Stella for all her help during our stay - she recommended wonderful restaurants and beaches, ordered taxi and table in the restaurant, and solved all the minor issues we had, this made travel planning very easy and made our stay very comfortable. Despite the fact that this is not a hotel but a complex of apartments, the room was cleaning every day. And a big advantage was the presence of a terrace where it was convenient to dry bathing suits after the beach, and drink a glass of wine in the evening. I will definitely stay here if I come to Hersonissos again.

This is actually a very nicely located hotel in the city center. Bus stop, kiosks, bars, and restaurants are right outside the door. The pedestrian zone also starts here. The harbor is also within walking distance. The lobby is very appealing, and while the rooms are small, they have everything you need for a short trip. The pool and its bar on the hotel rooftop are absolutely fantastic. We arrived at the hotel at 10:30 AM, even though check-in was advertised for 3 PM. Of course, we would have liked to check into our room by 1 PM or 2 PM. Despite asking multiple times, we were continuously put off, and it really did end up being 3 PM... This is a high-level complaint, but it's also the only drawback. We would definitely book again on our next trip to Heraklion.

The location of the hotel is definitely very good and a plus point. We were greeted in a friendly manner and the lady at the bar gave us a welcome drink. The hotel looks quite high-quality at the entrance and you feel like you're in good hands. I would say it's not 5-star level, but around 3.5-4 absolutely. The room we were given unfortunately had no windows (the description said there was one). No problem for us. Our biggest criticism is that there was no door in the shower because it had been removed. So you couldn't shower properly without water spraying outside. When we told reception, they just said ”we didn't know” and preferred to answer the ringing phone and leave the guest standing there. Who would know if not the hotel, so unfortunately it's far from 5-star service. We expected a small apology and that the problem would be taken care of. I think it's a real shame that you pay so much money and then get a room that doesn't meet the standard and isn't really at the level you want it to be given to guests. Luckily we only spent one day here and had previously spent the week in a real 5-star hotel. I can really only give this hotel 3/5 stars overall.

The room was spacious and the hotel was super clean and extremely comfortable. Everything felt brand new and the service was really 5 star. We were happily surprised to learn that the indoor swimming pool is actually just a giant jacuzzi. We spent an hour there on our last night which was super nice. The bed is really comfortable and the place is quiet. There is a valet service for parking your car and we got welcome drinks and snacks on arrival. Thanks again for the free bottle of wine and fruit bowl as a VIP welcome gift. We really enjoyed and will come back to this hotel if we ever visit Chania again one day.

What a lovely stay in Crete! This hotel is gorgeous and spotless. The Breakfast Buffet was outstanding, and every staff member I encountered during my 3-day stay was smiling and helpful. My Executive seaside room was spacious and well-furnished, and it was a perfect place to recharge on my 3-week journey. It was an easy walk from the port (I arrived with SeaJets), and the public bus to the Palace of Knossos was waiting for me right below the hotel the next day. The concierge gave great advice on places to visit, and called for the (15€!) taxi when it was time to get to the airport. Efharistó, Megaron!

The room was comfortable and equipped with all the necessary facilities. Service was excellent from friendly, helpful staff. The buffet breakfast was very good. Central Herakleion is only 5 minutes' walk away. The rooftop swimming pool is fine for cooling off but it's too small for serious swimming and closes early in the evening.

Stayed here 1 night as an extra night due to late flight arrival times so we didn’t burn a day at our all inclusive. Hotel is brand new, clean, comfortable and very well located. As a family of 4 we had a double joining room. Staff were absolutely brilliant and went out their way to be so friendly and nice. It had a small gym but all good equipment, perfect for a short stay, breakfast buffet was decent for a short stay… Would highly recommend if you want a modern, clean and nice hotel. We spent the part of the day exploring Heraklion before heading to Panormos to our all inclusive. A+

The hotel deserves its four-star rating. The lobby and the restaurant on the second floor are both beautiful and elegantly decorated. The room was also nice. 22 square meters is basically consistent. The beds and quilts are very comfortable. The breakfast is very good, with many varieties, and the service is excellent. Black tea comes with a tea bowl and boiling water per person, and a set of cups. Tea is served to everyone, and coffee is also served to the table. The dining table is made of two layers of tablecloth, bleached and ironed to a crisp. This kind of service should be reserved for five-star hotels, but Cocaton Hotel can also provide you with this service, which is amazing. Luggage storage after early arrival and check-out was also attentive. The front desk service is very attentive and enthusiastic, and patiently answers questions. The location is very good, facing the gate of an ancient building in Chania. (The building is being re-roofed and may become a tourist product center.) It is only 2 to 300 meters away from the old town, which is very convenient. Stayed for two days, value for money. The only thing worthy of improvement is that the tissue paper is placed under the washbasin and cannot be found without looking carefully. A stunning and family-friendly hotel with all you could ask for on the grounds. From a beautiful gym, swimming pools galore to an incredible water park on site for not just the little ones but the big kids too… it has it all! The food courts had so much variety too with different settings for different nights. The entertainment kicked in just as I was leaving and the bar side singing was just beautiful, a great touch to the space ito give it that adult-exclusivity feel away from the other areas of the hotel which catered for the whole family.
