The room decor was quite distinctive and to my taste. We stayed in one of the slightly larger rooms, but it still felt a bit cramped because the bathroom and balcony were incorporated, making the space feel tight. The environment is nice, being close to the river, which is quite picturesque. If you prioritize the surroundings, it's a good choice. However, the bed was too soft and uncomfortable to sleep on, and the staff's attitude was also rather unenthusiastic.

A dream hotel! This was my absolute favorite hotel during my UK trip, bar none. The rooms are exquisite. We booked two rooms this time, a loft suite and a king room. The price difference wasn't huge, but the suite was incredible – it had a kitchen, a living room, and a bedroom, it was fantastic. The air conditioning worked great, and the breakfast was delicious. It's about 1km from Cambridge University, easily accessible. There are temporary parking spots out front, and overnight parking in the basement, so no worries there. Two points for domestic travelers to note: 1. The EV charging station app in the basement cannot be downloaded or used by iPhones in mainland China or Hong Kong. Friends with electric cars should be aware of this. 2. The immediate area isn't particularly safe. When I went to the supermarket, I noticed that the people around seemed a bit questionable, especially if you go further north. For those concerned about safety, just avoid wandering around the area at night. The hotel itself is excellent and meets most needs.

Stayed at Novotel Cambridge North recently and had a really solid experience overall. The staff were consistently friendly and welcoming, which always makes a difference. The facilities were impressively clean, especially the swimming pool and sauna - both well maintained and relaxing to use. Breakfast was more than sufficient, with a great standard full English buffet that was always topped up quickly, so nothing ever felt picked over. Location-wise, it’s just a 4-minute walk from Cambridge North train station, which makes getting in and out incredibly easy. The connections are excellent, and having a Co-op right opposite is really convenient - especially since the hotel itself is a bit removed from other shops and amenities. Overall, a comfortable and well-run stay, particularly if you’re travelling by train or need a quieter base just outside the city.

While the hotel itself and rooms are fine. You have to pay extra for parking which is clearly just for capitalist gains as it’s on property. They advertise a pool (one of the main reasons we picked the hotel), which we were told on arrival has been closed for years, yet no thought to advertise this online was thought of? No instead they keep a picture of said swimming pool online when it would be a simple manner of taking one picture down to stop disappointment. They keep it up to attract visitors unfortunately. The water in the room for shower and bath simply did not go hot, but rather a low lukewarm. Breakfast also cost £15 which we opted not to do due to competition prices being so much lower for the same thing. Ultimately, it was a disappointing stay mainly due to their misinformation than the room itself.

This is one of my top recommended hotels within the Cambridge University graduate student area. I frequently book this hotel for our professors and students, and every time, I receive excellent feedback. On July 17th and 18th, there was a very large event in this new research district, which was just a 3-minute walk from the hotel. It was incredibly convenient, and everyone had a great time! 😀 The biggest advantage of the hotel is its extremely convenient transportation. There's a U Bus stop right near the entrance, providing direct access to Cambridge city center and the train station, making it perfect for visiting scholars, students, or first-time visitors to Cambridge. A large supermarket is just a two or three-minute walk away, making daily shopping very easy. The surrounding neighborhood is pleasant, with many excellent restaurant options. The hotel breakfast offers a wide variety and excellent quality, ensuring a pleasant start to each day. Overall, whether it's the accommodation environment, location, or convenience, it's an ideal choice for anyone studying, working, or visiting Cambridge. I will definitely continue to recommend it to professors, students, and friends.

We had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel! ✅ Check-in was smooth and efficient, and the reception staff were warm and welcoming. They also helped us register our car for free parking, which was a great bonus. 🛏️ Our room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The air conditioning was customisable and worked flawlessly throughout the stay, adding to our comfort. 🧴 All the toiletries were fully stocked and ready to use — a small but thoughtful touch. 🕛 One thing we really appreciated was the 12 PM checkout time, which is later than many other hotels. It gave us extra time to relax and pack without feeling rushed. 🛍️ The location is super convenient — just a 5-minute walk to a large shopping mall, making dining and shopping easy. 🔌 Another highlight was the electric vehicle charging available in the hotel parking, which was exactly what we needed. 💷 Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money with great service and thoughtful amenities. Highly recommended — we’ll definitely be back!

Breakfast is average, it is normal, nothing special. The room is too small, and it is rare to live in such a small room at this price. There is a chair in the room, and it is necessary to find a waiter to give another chair. From the picture posted on the door, we stayed in the smallest room in the whole hotel. Really unhappy.

Environment: I didn't have high expectations for this hotel initially, as the room size is quite small and the price isn't high. However, after checking in, I found it to be much better than I imagined. I even managed to fully open my two large suitcases! Facilities: There's even a small kitchenette, although we didn't use it. They also have a heated clothes hanger. The only thing I found a bit inconvenient was the small bathroom sink, which wasn't very practical for applying makeup. Hygiene: Decent. Service: I believe there wasn't complimentary drinking water or slippers, but since I brought my own, I didn't bother to ask.

I have stayed in this hotel a few times now, and every time the receptionist Izabella has been both helpful and friendly in every transaction whether it be by telephone or in person at the desk. In an industry where this is pretty rare her consistency should be noted and is an asset to her company. The hotel itself is good. No complaints.
