Nice and quiet hotel in a good location. A little small room, but as it was only a base for shopping, that was a minor detail. Friendly and welcoming staff at the reception. Breakfast buffet with a fine selection - despite many people, the queue at the buffet was winding down quickly.

Die Lage von dem Hotel ist in Timmendorf sehr zentral. Auf der einen Seite der Strand und auf der anderen direkt das Zentrum. Das Hotel verfügt über alle Annehmlichkeiten, die mir persönlich wichtig sind. Parkplatz, Pool, sehr freundliches Personal und hinzu, noch ein hervorragendes Frühstück und eine gute Speisekarte für den Abend. Das Zimmer war sauber und hat eine sehr gute Ausstattung. Auch wenn es etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist, gefällt es mir persönlich sehr gut. Der Balkon ist zu jeder Jahreszeit sehr schön.

Although located next to the station the hotel proved to be a quiet location. The rooms are quite small, lack some amenities (coffee making) but the bed and bedding is comfortable and sleep quality is good. The breakfast was superb with plenty of options. It offered excellent value and was only around 15 minute walk to the old town and its attractions.

The hotel is located in the same building as the Ibis Hotel. Left entrance Ibis, right entrance Adagio. Also, these are the same staff in both hotels. Apart from the Ibis Hotel, the hotel room offers a kitchen line. For families practically, you don't always have to go to dinner. Supermarkets, shopping malls and restaurants are in the immediate vicinity. The hotel has an elevator and free Wi-Fi As in the IBIS Hotel, breakfast is Mo-Fr 06:30 to 10:30 and Sa+So 07Uhr-11. Drinks like water and coffee are available free to 22:00. There is also a bar in the dining room. Eat there until 22:00, drinks until midnight The TV in the room works well.

Hotel location is very good, there is swimming pool and gym sauna, the hotel has parking lot but the seat is not much more than 14 euros a night. The disadvantage is that the floor of the room is gray on the side of the road, and the hotel may be old, the carpet inside the room is very dirty, the door I feel that the paint has fallen off, and the curtains in the room are also short. The morning sunlight can be glaring from below.

We stayed at the Steigenberger for one night. The hotel is nice and conveniently located opposite Terminal 28. It also close to the city centre. The buffet breakfast was very good. However, there was only a bottle of water in the mini-bar. The weather was quite hot and there was not ventilation unfortunately.

We were at this hotel for 5 nights in July of 2022. Very good location and good reception service. Beds too soft for me, my back hurt from sleeping in the beds. Beds were made every day and we had enogh clean towels. But even though we had no toilet paper left, cleaning didn´t put new toilet paper in the bathroom. Had to ask for more toilet paper in the reception every time we needed some more. Not a big breakfast buffet, but it was ok. However, it could sometimes be a bit slow when it comes to filling up the plates with more food. The pancakes were always cold and often not enough of them (but tasted fine)

Me and my husband stayed four nights in this hotel for our summer holiday in Germany in 2020. Nb not 2022. Perfect location close to the Altstadt and the river in Lubeck. Because of the corona the pool and sauna was closed. We thought that any 5 star hotel should have a gym but this hotel had not. We went to the High 5 gym near by. But we certainly recommend the High5 gym, and the reception should also recommend a gym when guests ask for it. Breakfast had a variety of offers. We spent a few mornings in the outside cafeteria on the lawn outside the hotel in the nice sun. The cleanliness was good and the staff was polite. But some of the receptionists seemed a bit more formal or reserved than we are used to from Scandinavia. A little smile or two can do a lot! We would like to come back for The Christmas marked.

Don’t stay here. Both times we have been here it has been excruciatingly painful to say the least. The first time we had the so-called presidential suite and another room for the kids. The presidential suite had a door that didn’t fit properly, dirty windows, filthy cushions on the couches. Old-fashioned furniture that has been badly beaten up and they are charging a premium price for the rooms. With the five of us we had quite a bit of luggage and my wife asked for assistance. Eventually somebody from the bar (refused to give his name but someone at reception said he was from the UAE) ambled up to my wife and said “you want some assistance with a luggage?“. Yes replied my wife. He then looked at her and said “we don’t do that here“ and walked off leaving her to struggle with three small children and a number of large suitcases. Absolutely appalling is the only way it can be described. Just simple good manners would dictate that somebody would help a woman with three children and luggage up some steep stairs and into the lift. Just not too hard thing to do for a young man…. Surely? The bathroom is dirty and smelt of mould. The second visit was no better. We would not have stayed here if it hadn’t already been pre-booked and paid. They managed to completely get the booking wrong and then refused to even try and sort it out in order to make our visit more comfortable. Instead, we end up with a tense and very unhappy situation exacerbated by the extraordinarily rude staff at reception who would not listen to our requests. Strongly recommend you stay away from this place.

After all, we had booked the budget double room for €114 per night and found that the price/performance ratio was not right. A small room with a small double bed, simply furnished and a bathroom that was so narrow that there was not even room to put towels. Equipped in the simplest way with cheap PVC floor and shower curtain. If the room had been half the price it would still have been too much, but then you wouldn't have had high expectations. We saw in the morning that there are definitely better rooms, we don't know why we got this room despite booking early, but subsequent guests should know that this is possible in this hotel. The breakfast offer was actually good if it had been replenished. Eggs and bacon ran out a little after 9am and we and any subsequent guests did not enjoy it. After asking, I was made to feel like a very demanding guest. When I checked out, the lady told me that she was all alone, so she had to manage reception and the breakfast buffet, including preparation. Then I really felt sorry for her, because she has to work hard so that someone else has more in their pockets. Maybe management should think about it. In any case, we won't come a second time. However, I also want to mention the very good location and the good parking space, which gives positive points.
