I recently stayed at Wrest Point and would definitely stay again! My room was a highlight—spotlessly clean, super comfortable bed, and a stunning view of the bay that made my stay extra special. I really enjoyed spending time at the Birdcage Bar. The cocktails were fantastic and the atmosphere was lively—highly recommend for a fun night out. Staff-wise, my experience was mixed: some team members were amazing and made me feel welcome, while others weren’t as friendly or helpful as I’d hoped. This didn’t overshadow my overall positive stay, but it’s worth mentioning. It is a decent hotel located in the city of Hobart. There is a restaurant and cafe in the building. There is a gym if you are into fitness. The hotel does not provide a bottle of water for the guest, so you need to bring your own container and fills it at the gym or purchase it from the convenience store nearby. For those who hired a car, please note if you wish the hotel to park it in a valet parking and retrieve it anytime you need, there will be a cost of A$35 per day.

We had a really great stay. The whole area is just stunning, service also was great. Would highly recommend. We stayed in one of the ”pods”, those were quite small, but very comfy beds. I would imagine the bigger ones would be awesome

Excellent, hearty and warm service. The airport skybus stop is right in front of the hotel (frequency 40 mins, whole ride 25 mins from or to airport). Room and bed very comfy. Free bottle water and welcome cookies. The trash bins inside the room are too small however. Buffet breakfast is decent too. Locationwise, not the best. No restaurants or groceries nearby (just restaurants inside hotels). Need a bit of walk (5-10 mins) to reach the very centre where the shops are.

We had a great second stay at this hotel. The room was a good size bathroom on the small side but functional. They gave us a high floor room with a nice view - we could even see the water and we liked the Trip.com deal where we got free breakfast. This was tasty and an enjoyable way to start the day. We found the staff were pleasant and we got a bottle of wine as we were celebrating a birthday. There is either onsite parking or you can get a discounted code for the Village cinemas carpark (both $15). This is a good 3 star standard hotel in a great location and we would come back. In fact, the breakfast was nicer than a recent very disappointing stay at the nearby (and much more expensive!) Moevenpick hotel.

Location close to everything. No free parking. Limited options on the food menu but the service and the cocktails are amazing. Daily Housekeeping.. On some sites it says 24 hour room service, not correct, food is only served from 5pm to 8pm on site Breakfast buffet or room service, not open for lunch.

The room is clean and spacious, and comes with a well-equipped kitchen and washing machine. I also like to read the stories and display boards around the hotel on its history as an old woolstore. Didn't have time to try the hotel restaurant but it looks good. Overall a very comfy stay, will definitely come again when I visit Hobart again.

The hotel entrance is quite unassuming. On the evening of our arrival, our flight was delayed, and by the time we reached the hotel, the ground floor entrance was already locked. We wouldn't have known how to get in if not for a returning guest, who also informed us that check-in was on the fourth floor. On our first day, the bed was only partially made, which was quite puzzling. However, housekeeping properly made the bed on the following days. Overall, the value for money is decent. We only had breakfast once, but it was quite varied and substantial. The location is excellent, and I would still recommend staying here.

Rooms are abit small but you get what you pay for. No issues with check in/out . Our room was on level 1 and noise insulation was excellent. Excellent location, walkable distance to Salamanca Market on Saturdays and plenty of food options along Harrington Street.

The location is very good, and the beach below is also beautiful. If the weather is good or you are brave, you can walk across the sea to the small island on the opposite side. I didn't dare to go because the sea was a bit big that day. Don't hold too high hopes for free penguin viewing at night. The white guy in the hotel was very responsible and chatted with us for almost two hours, but the penguins had to wait until the people who paid to see them finished before they could go. Some people said they saw one, but I didn't see one.
