The Hilton Hotel here is a pleasant surprise because the bed is very comfortable, the kind that allows you to sleep all night long, super good 👍. The hotel lobby is well designed, with the sun shining in, and unique design elements. The Hilton Hotel has two buildings, and there is a suspended passage between the two buildings. Standing on the passage, you can take photos, which is very photogenic

Great stay. Great service. Our 1st trip in 15 months. The only reason we did not rate a 5 on clean, hotel was under covid rules, rooms were not being cleaned daily, so could not rate this part. What are Trip coins?

This one made me have the urge to say a few words, the purpose is to let everyone avoid pitfalls. I feel that the hotel spends all the money on the lobby, I don’t even want to take pictures of the bathroom, it’s too small, please forgive us ordinary people who don’t understand the concept and purpose of the design. We were given a room connected to the next door. We opened the door here and made sure the room next door was closed. It would be embarrassing if it happened! The price of 18XX, but even a 500ml bottle of water has to be charged an additional $2. I don’t deserve it. Fortunately, I brought my own water and put it together for a photo to commemorate stepping on thunder! But what is consoling is that the steakhouse Eddie Merlot's opposite is worth trying. The taste of steak and other meals is really amazing!

AAnonymousDogThis is a very nice facility with indoor pool, but staff attitudes were extremely poor. I witnessed several rude interactions with other guests and heard reports of several more. We booked the best room in the place for a week (King Suite with veranda over the pool and jetted tub), but our keys timed out every day until I complained...no excuse for that. Both day and night shift employees shared the same poor attitude, but it was the gal on nights who was just plain rude and off putting, being on the phone with friends more than anything else. The person who appeared to be the day manager was a bit better. All the staff allowed some pretty shady characters they seemed to know to hang out in the back parking lot in their cars for hours on end. These were not guests but probably the local drug dealer posting up in his usual location. That happened every day, well into the evening hours. The motel is located away from the historic downtown, across the river near restaurants, Wal-Mart, etc. It's a great location as it's very easy to drive or ride out of town without fighting traffic. Breakfast does not even qualify as ”continental” with only packaged cereal, packaged danishes, coffee and juice. Without adding to employee work load, the motel could easily add fresh fruit, and many comparable motels offer a LOT more than that. We ate breakfast there ONE morning just to get on the road as quickly as possible; other than that, the offerings weren't even worth the effort of walking into the dining space. Our bed was our biggest problem: In the best room in the place, we got a King mattress that I can only describe as ”sacked out” and very hard. By the time our staff was complete, I had lower back and hip pain. I don't have those problems; it was the bed. That bed is one of the key reasons someone would rent that room at a premium price. The other significant reason to rent the (King suite with veranda and jetted tub) room is, obviously, the jetted tub. Using it was so laborious that we stopped trying after the second use. The faucet's flow was SO slow that it takes AT LEAST half an hour to fill to where the jets are covered when you get in the tub (which is required to turn on the jets, obviously). To get anything like reasonable fill times, I was using the ice bucket to transfer buckets of water from the sink nearby. It still took at least 20 minutes to fill the tub. That's just ridiculous. There was plenty of water pressure and volume in the sink, toilet, and shower; so, it's a problem with the tub fixtures or plumbing, not water supply to the room. I was also unpleasantly surprised that the most expensive room in the motel had a mini-fridge without any freezer at all. That's not premium. During our stay, a storm passed through the area and knocked out all but one leg of 110V power to the motel. This left many rooms without power and knocked out WiFi service and the satellite TV service for more than a day, well after power was restored. Even though power was still in the building, staff did nothing at all to temporarily connect either WiFi or satellite systems to the working power (with an extension cord to the equipment or similar). Lots of tenants left the motel, especially family guests. Staff allowed tenants with power to continue to use AC units in their rooms even though they were surely damaged by running on a single leg of power (on a 220V unit)...that's just irresponsible (although I understand it from a customer service point of view). The pool looks nice, but we didn't use it. It was closed at odd times even though it was supposed to be open 10am to 10pm. On our arrival day, for instance, it was already closed at dinner time (and remained so the whole evening). The hot tub space in the pool area has been bricked up; it doesn't exist now. Housekeeping was very good and extremely responsive to requests. I'd give the motel a 3 of 5 stars at best which is a shame since it's a nice facility with great location.

JJupiterThis hotel is big one side is super 8 and the other side is the Baymont it's all connected into one big building so it's like a big maze that you have to walk through to get to your rooms or take the elevator I like that there are several different entrants and exits in this building so if you're not parked directly on one side and have to park say in the back you're able to go right out the back check in and check out process was fairly simple very polite for the couple of front desk people that we had dealt with the beds we're big and fairly comfortable so no complaints really in that aspect I like the extra space in our rooms and I really like the cabinetry so you can definitely put your luggage away or if you want to put your clothes in the drawers or closet so that way you don't have your stuff on your way it definitely gives you that option to do so. Each time I've stayed here our rooms came equipped with a mini fridge and microwave and a coffee maker even though we didn't use the coffee maker so I can't really give you a good review on that aspect only as per the fact that there was one located and ours had its own little coffee station type nook in the wall which was cute bathroom was spacious I don't believe the hair dryer worked in one of our rooms or was maybe not even there I'm not sure I can't remember the hotel was fairly clean for the most part I didn't have any issues with any of my rooms didn't see any noticeable damage all in all I'd say this hotel is definitely an 8 out of 10 didn't have a pool and if it did it was definitely not in order I don't think the workout room or anything like that was working either if they did have one so I was just a basic stay sleep and do what you got to do you are in a cul-de-sac so to speak almost like an industrial cul-de-sac but it's a hotel called a sex so you're right off the highway which is a plus and convenient down that called a sac road there are a couple restaurants or eateries nearby so even in walking distance however if you wanted something other than the handful of options that were down in the hotel cul-de-sac you could drive and wouldn't take you more than maybe 7:00 to 12 minutes tops to get to the closest Royal area to be able to go to any gas stations convenience stores or any other eateries so location was definitely a plus for this Hotel! I would recommend this hotel to anybody traveling maybe for business or just need a quick stay they don't have continental breakfast I believe what it's called as a complimentary breakfast where you just get two little choices of juice that tasted a little odd to me or watered down out of a machine I think they gave you like a banana and an orange or something in a fruit basket to choose from a bagel maybe some bread to toast or something or a pastry of some sort and there was two options of cereal I believe so nothing fancy nothing great breakfast really wasn't that fantastic I would recommend that the Baymont and the super 8 since they are joined together should really think about upgrading their breakfast to something a little bit better like the waffle maker you know maybe something hot I better selections and I could turn my review into at least a 9 out of 10 if not a 10 out of 10 because honestly having that breakfast makes the hotel sometimes and being a conjoined Hotel there should be no reason why they can't afford to throw in since they both share the same lobby slash diner area!

GGuest UserDo NOT stay at this hotel unless you can survive in a room that is not at all soundproof! I booked a queen suite with separate sitting room for my daughter and I. We wanted a quiet, relaxing place to stay for a 3 day weekend and the reviews for this place were excellent. First let me list the nice things about the property: 1. It is a full blown conference center with a huge, well maintained and manicured landscape. 2. The outdoor spaces are lovely, including the outdoor pool area. 3. The location is very close to Columbus and to the uber wealthy city of Powell. 4. A gorgeous county park with loads of picnic areas and walking trails is located directly across the street from the conference center. Now for the negatives: 1. No soundproofing!!! We could hear every word of conversations that took place in the room next door. But the most disturbing thing is that we couldn’t sleep because of noise from the room overhead. My daughter contacted the front desk in the early evening of our first night’s stay asking them to call the guests above us with a “gentle reminder” to avoid heavy walking. She was told that the request could not be made until after the 10 pm quiet time. We had a brown noise machine running at top volume for the entire night, but even that didn’t block the heavy footfalls from above. The constant sound of people walking (it sounded like elephants) continued the next morning which forced us out of our room. (We payed extra for a suite with a separate sitting area so that we could relax outside of the bedroom, but couldn’t take advantage of it because of the noise). My daughter ended up sleeping on a couch at a friend’s house the second night because she was so sleep deprived. However, I returned to the hotel which was a huge mistake! When I turned out the lights at 11 pm, things were quiet, but at 11:30 pm the stomping family returned. The noise of the footfalls and then squeaking floors woke me up at 11:30 pm, 3:30 am and 5:45 am. I finally got out of bed at 6 am, walked to the lobby in my pajamas, and told the staff that I couldn’t stay in this place another night. I must have looked a fright, because the agent immediately canceled the final night of our reservation with no questions asked. Just to be clear, I don’t think that the family above us was intentionally loud. I think that they had absolutely no idea that their movements were creating such a disturbance. 2. Despite the fact that the lovely county park is directly across the street, it’s incredibly difficult to access the park entrance as a pedestrian. There is a single pedestrian crosswalk at the southwest corner of the conference center, but there are no sidewalks that connect to the crosswalk. Walkers are forced to either walk along a very busy road with no shoulder, or walk on the grass for about 1/2 mile to get from the hotel parking lot to the crosswalk. I find it incredibly surprising that Nationwide didn’t consider putting in sidewalks to make access to the park more accessible and safe for pedestrians. 3. Be forewarned that the conference center includes facilities that cater to weddings, so if you stay here on a weekend, be prepared for lots of outdoor evening activities. No one should have to pay $200/night to stay in a room that isn’t conducive to sleep!!!

GGuest UserWas a convenient location and check in was easy. However, there was difficulty with the room keys. I entered the room left my purse and one key in the room went out to my car for luggage - entered at the rear door using the key. However, the key failed to work for my room. Had to go to the desk and have a new set of keys made. This happened again the next day as well, however, that time the on call clerk said it frequently happens when using the rear door. If they know it happens why not fix it or warn the client in advance. This was very stressful. The room itself was extremely disappointing. It was supposed to sleep 3 adults yet it contained only a queen size bed and a window ledge. No couch, roll away nothing. The sitting area was non existent. Your options were the bed, the window ledge or a straight back wood desk chair. Not at all comfortable. The television was smaller than my computer monitor definately not more than a 24”. Even though all advertisements stated a refrigerator in the room there was not one. Which meant I was unable to keep any cold drinks in my room. The breakfast was an even bigger joke - cold hard boiled eggs were available one day, cold cereal, very limited fruit if you were not there early there was none it was not refilled. Donuts were prepackaged and old. Was not anything available that was at all desirable. I knew there was not a pool or exercise room which I did not expect however, for 100 a night in Delphos, OH I expected more. I had a handicapped room as I have 2 artificial knees and occasionally have difficulity with low toliets and tubs. The room showed handicapped on the exterior door however, the toliet was low and there was not a shower but a tub you had to step into. I spent 3 nights and the only maid service I received was towel replacement - the bed was not made and I do not believe the vaccum was ran. One day I someone had left their pass key in my room along with a roll of wastepaper bags. I took it to the desk and told the clerk I thought #6 would be looking for their keys in the morning. Not a thank or any sense of concern. I entered the lobby at various times of the day and evening and I don't believe I EVER saw anyone sitting at the desk just a sign that read ring bell for service. They were not even in the office directly behind the desk. To say I was disappointed would be putting it mildly I can assure you I will not be returning to this facility or any other Microtel in the future. Stay away it is definetly worth an additional 20-30 to get an indoor pool, hot breakfast, king size bed, comfortable chair as well as an adjustable desk chair with a refrigerator and microwave in your room which you did not get here. Stay in Van Wert at the Comfort Inn or Holiday Inn express.

SSherlanIt started out really bad like the commercial on tv, with the mom waving at her children across the hotel lot. They corrected the error and we ended up in a suite of five beds. The check in time is at three in the afternoon instead of letting you choose. The service for the room was very awesome. Thank you

AAdam KimeWhile the building was attractive, the rooms, the amenities, and the service were no better than what you'd get at a Day's Inn. There were also some odd things about the service and the facilities. First, the hotel boasted both an outdoor and an indoor pool (and a hot tub). The outdoor pool was closed and the hot tub was drained. On top of that, the hotel required that you wear paper wristbands to use the pool (or you will be evicted without refund), but you need an active room key to get into the pool in the first place. At one point, the desk manager came and asked families in the pool to get out and get the wristbands, which was really awkward. The pool set up is neat and unusual. The outdoor pool communicates with the indoor pool, and you can have a pool-side room with sliding doors that open to the outdoor pool area. It would be a neat feature-- as long as the outdoor pool is open, which it wasn't. There were also odd breakdowns-- like the ice machine not working and housecleaning trying to clean out our room before checkout time. All in all, I would have rather gone to a cheaper hotel. The experience was not worth the extra cost.

GGuest UserOur stay at The Lodge was nice. There were a few little things that I questioned, but that honestly is normal & did not really effect our stay. Everything in the lodge was clean & I do not know what wonderful smell they are pumping through the building... but walking into the lobby was wonderful! The decor was nicely decked out in holiday cheer! The Christmas Trees were beautiful too. We booked a King Suite, as the pic on Trip.com showed a jacuzzi tub in the suite. This is not the case. In fact, The staff at the front desk said they have not had jacuzzi tubs in the rooms for over 8 years. That was a disappointment... And King suites do not have a balcony, but Queen suites do have a balcony with sliding doors! They front desk did not offer to help with that misunderstanding, as offering a ”Fireplace room” (they said the jacuzzi rooms now had fireplaces after the removal of said tubs??... but no fireplace in my suite) or offering anything else... probably because I booked thru a third party(trip.com). It was definitely a spacious room, but a little overly ”roomy” with just a king bed, 2 nightstands, the entertainment/dresser, completely with a fridge in the cabinet, a very small ”dining table”, a glass coffee table & a pull out couch. The thermostat was set at a scorching 75 degrees, which I immediately turned down. At first, I figured it was just a fluke, but the power did go out one evening & sure enough, when the power was restored the thermostat reset to 75 again! We dined at the bar on a few occasions, which was nice & staffed ok, not the latest hours for a bar. The food is good & of course a little pricey. I'm sure there is a lot more to do during the nicer seasons... the answer for everything it seemed was ”it is the off season”. Overall, it was a nice place to stay in wine country & probably will return next year.

GGregHGreat stay overall. Booked for a staycation anniversary. The rooftop bar was closed for the rest of the season which was disappointing considering that was the main reason why we chose this hotel. Strangely the shower pressure was downright painful. However, service and staff were great and friendly!
