The Sousse Pearl Marriott Resort & Spa, located on the beachfront in Sousse, Tunisia, offers a distinctive proposition for the business traveler: a five-star resort environment that is fully equipped to handle major conferences and provide luxurious productivity. While its resort nature means slower pace than a city center business hotel, its comprehensive facilities make it ideal for specific corporate needs.
Location and Accessibility (3.5/5)
Located directly on the Corniche (Boulevard Abdelhamid El Kadhi), the hotel sits in a prime location that balances commercial access with scenic beachfront appeal.
Pro: Excellent location in Sousse, close to the Medina (approx. 1.5 km) and central business activities in the city. Access to the main local airport, Monastir Habib Bourguiba International (MIR), is quick (approx. 18 km / 15-20 minutes).
Con: Sousse is a regional commercial hub, not a primary international financial center. Travelers requiring frequent access to the capital, Tunis, face a significant road journey (140-150 km).
Work and Productivity Amenities (4.5/5)
The Marriott is purpose-built to host significant corporate events, offering amenities far beyond a simple workspace.
Meeting Facilities: Unlike typical resort hotels, this property features five dedicated meeting rooms and a large ballroom (over 5,200 sq. ft. total event space), all equipped with modern audio-visual technology and free wireless internet.
Wi-Fi & In-Room Comfort: Rooms are newly renovated and spacious, featuring free high-speed Wi-Fi, a safe, minibar, and a comfortable desk setup. Soundproofing ensures tranquility despite the central location.
Bonus: A full Business Centre is available, providing essential services like copying, faxing, and photocopying.
Dining and Wellness (4/5)
The dining options and wellness facilities lean into the luxury resort side, offering excellent venues for client entertainment and relaxation.
Dining: Multiple high-quality restaurants are available, including the main international restaurant, The Gourmet, and the Asian-focused a la carte restaurant, Opus. This variety is perfect for hosting high-profile client dinners.
Wellness: The extensive Jumana Spa by Sothys, fitness center, and indoor pool provide excellent facilities for decompression after a long day of meetings, a key component of effective business travel.
Verdict for the Business Traveler
The Sousse Pearl Marriott is a top-tier choice when your business trip requires high-end meeting spaces, large-scale events, or when blending work with necessary relaxation/client entertainment is essential. It delivers on the Marriott promise of professional service and excellent infrastructure. However, for a quick, in-and-out business trip focusing solely on local Sousse trade, it may be slightly excessive compared to other city options.
Best for: Corporate events, regional conferences, incentive trips, or business travelers seeking five-star comfort with excellent dining and wellness facilities.
Look Elsewhere If: You need a budget-focused hotel or require immediate, high-frequency access to the financial or governmental institutions in Tunis.

Very nice hotel, the entrance feels like a palace. The room was very spacious with a desk and a balcony with a table, perfect for smokers. Excellent value for money. The food is very good and varied. The indoor pool, which is the only one available in winter, is quite small and limited but honestly superb and clean. The staff is very professional and attentive. A small negative point is that you can't have visitors come up to your room during the day. I'm not talking about overnight stays, of course, that's understandable. You can only host them in the lobby lounge or in one of the hotel's restaurants and cafes. Big shout out to the guy at the bar, he took great care of me and my family during their visit.

This is a standard all-inclusive hotel in Sousse. It’s a little dated in places but very clean and you can’t go wrong for the price. The staff are very helpful and I love how they include lots of Tunisian dishes at breakfast and dinner. I had a great stay.

Wonderful from start to finish! I could not recommend this hotel more. For me, it was the hotel team. The hotel community went out of their way to connect with others and genuinely seemed to care. They showed pride in customer service and expressed that they take their five-star reputation seriously.
The room standard was amazing. Due to rooms being fully booked over Christmas, I needed to switch hotels for the main Christmas days. I switched to the biggest and supposedly most “ luxury “ hotel in Sousse. Honestly, the switch was not worthwhile. I realized just how exceptional the quality is at the Iberostar Selection Kantaoui Bay.
The housekeeping team visited daily providing toiletries, clean bathrobes and nice extras ( such as sweets and chocolates) to the room. Their friendly faces with their cheerful banter were a pleasure to embrace each day.
The food quality was great! I do not consume meat or dairy but that didn’t make a difference, there truly is something for everyone. The fresh food selection was incredible and certainly unbeatable to those I had tried elsewhere in Sousse and Tunis. The cooks shared helpful recommendations and I tried a range of fresh local flavours. This hotel was comfortable, with a cheerful friendly team and positioned with an exceptional view of a gorgeous quiet beach. I would happily stay again, and I highly recommend the Iberostar Selection Kantaoui Bay.
I would like to extend a huge thank you to the remarkable team.

Hygiene: Perfect
Environment: Ideal, the sea is very blue, the air is very fresh, you can choose a meal package for the day and lie down for the day.
Service: Very good
The elevator is very slow, and the breakfast and buffet dinner can be better.

Despite a late-night arrival that made locating the entrance a slight challenge, any difficulty was instantly forgotten the moment I stepped inside. This traditional Tunisian hotel is an absolute gem. I was immediately mesmerized by its welcoming charm, enveloped in a stylish and tasteful ambiance that feels authentically local yet serene.
My spacious room was beautifully decorated, continuing the elegant theme. Mornings were a delight, thanks to a breakfast that felt like a genuine treat. I also adored the thoughtful touch of a boutique corner in the lobby, showcasing upscale, modern takes on traditional handicrafts.
Above all, it was the hospitality that defined my stay. The host, Farah, was the epitome of class and kindness. Without a moment's hesitation, I know I will return. Thank you, Farah, for your wonderful care.
