We had booked the Ibis Galati. Upon arrival, we were told it was closed. We received an upgrade to the Mercure Hotel, which is right next door. Therefore, this review applies to the Mercure Hotel. Check-in was smooth. The rooms are very spacious. Breakfast is plentiful, and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

This is the only place of its kind in this area, so we had a good stay. It's much better compared to the Ibis next door. The Danube River is close by, so we enjoyed some nice walks.
