Hotel is in a good location about 5/7 minutes from the airport. It’s a resort, on the 1st floor of Gardens Mall Salalah. We had issues when we arrived, the gave us a standard room while we booked king room (the staff told us, that is referring to the bed size) this should not be the title of the listing (King Room etc). We got in touch with trio who were extremely helpful, the entire team, promptly. Had this been a European company, god help us, honestly (we all know when it comes to the crunch, not majority live up to their sales pitch). We took it upon ourselves also and had a word with the manager regarding this issue, who was happy to upgrade us to a very good room. We did spend a night in the standard room but it was still a very decent room. As mentioned before we done out locally so not sure about the food, conveniently located, take the lift straight down to the mall, this has a hyper market (carrefour) and Lulu is a walk down from the Mall (walking is not an option, you can it’s a bit of a walk with no pedestrian access). Staff friendly except one lady at the desk when asked for two glass sent the smallest cups via room service (glass are for restaurant only, we were told) but another kind lady at the desk in the morning (when requested sent these over). Would we stay there again? Yes, we would but make sure you check which room you are booking. Hats off to trip.com for being there with us all the way. The beach is a taxi ride away, the picture here is from Al Haffah beach and the frankincense being sorted by workers from Bangladesh. Remember to buy your Lubaan from salalah for cheaper and better quality. Thank you to Amjad and the manager for the upgrade. Ma Salaama

I had breakfast and lunches in Rotana- It was good, good choice and good food. Hope to come back one day:)

The room is great, very spacious, bright and comfortable! There is a large courtyard downstairs, surrounded by many coffee, dessert and pizza shops! You can chat, eat and play ball at night, and there are also children's play facilities. The breakfast is very satisfactory👍. The front desk was very helpful in adding a bed and changing the room, but unfortunately I forgot to ask the name, which really touched me! The only drawback is that the hot water is not enough. After washing my hair and taking a shower alone, the hot water is not very hot at the end. I hope the hot water system can be improved as soon as possible!

Clean and well run, though not the newest hotel in town. Staff is super friendly! The view on the beach from seaside facing rooms is stunning and its a great location for early risers to catch the sunrise and locals on the beach. Breakfast was very disappointing as it only features a small selection of easy to make Western food (toast, tinned beans, deep fried stuff). Would be nice if the hotel offered also some more local delicacies and more fresh fruit / veg.

Great hotel in a new tourist area, but very clean and perfect for relaxation (except the guests of the very large neighborhoods that stole early in the morning all the rests on the beach which must be absolutely improved, But we went soon:) pleasant breakfast without too many people with the kind Nerage and the excellent chef Moataz who prepared eggs in any way always excellent! We had a nice view of the sea, but some nights the music was feeling a little high, the cloaks are not very good and even the door of the room let the noise of the general conditioning plant enter, But he was not more than so irritating to us, a special mention of the always careful and smile Rasha and Murad for gentleness and excellent cleaning.

It seems that the boss is Indian, the front desk is also, the driver is also... even the Chinese restaurant next to it is also the Indians who opened the skr... The room type is not bad, the breakfast is OK, and the roof has a swimming pool.

We sat in the hotel for 3 nights and mr .adnan ( Omani man ) he give us upgrade of the room to a villa with a private pool and the name of the room was (oile) in Arabic words ( zaytona) The resort was a series of hotels (Grand Hyatt) The location is an hour away from Salalah, which made the place quieter and far from the noise, the sound of the sea and the lights at night makes you live an experience between (the desert and the sea) The service of the staff in the hotel is one of the best things possible and the existing schedule and events carried out by the hotel for guests indicates their interest without the need to go down to Salalah. The hotel is a place to settle and enjoy the tranquillity of nature without the need to go to another place. Cleanliness of the place, food, cleaning of rooms, service of the staff through diversification in hospitality to express their welcome to guests. There are classes to learn the cook and the offers offered by the spa to guests. The hotel's appreciation of the employees by honouring them and celebrating them, which I found in the place of residence, which reflects on the employee's giving the inmate everything he needs with love. The experience in general is 100%, it deserves every word of thanks.

GGuest UserI stayed at Fanar Hotel in Salalah as a solo traveler and had a great time. The location is beautiful, right by the beach, and the staff were friendly and helpful. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. I really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and easy access to nearby attractions. Highly recommended for a relaxing stay 🤗

CCorinne_UAEOverall one of the best hotels I ever stayed in. Side note; I live in the UAE, where 5 stars hotel are really common. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, the beds super comfy and the washrooms are every woman's dream (lightning, mirrors and amouage amenities). Staff is super attentive, accommodating and naturally friendly. They actually love what they do and we as guests can feel it's authenticity - which makes everything dining experience really special. The food was beyond delicious and the variety in the buffet made it hard to choose and even harder to not overeat. Congratulations to the management and leadership of the hotel team - you truly do an amazing job. I will definitely be back!

GGuest UserExcellent Hotel/Resort location, service, and staff. The only shortcoming was cleanliness in the lobby toilets especially near the restaurant. It needs close attention and follow up with house keeping responsible for continuous monitoring and far frequent checks by responsible janitors. I was impressed by the high caliber executive of  facility, Mr. Omar Shahin, and front desk manager Mr. Mena who demonstrated exceptional skills in addressing concerns we raised about the room assigned to us. Their quiet demeanor and wisdom truly made it up for our entire stay.  Keep up the excellent work gentlemen & ladies.

DDmitryA quite old hotel. Renovation is needed for furniture and decoration. Choice for breakfast was unfortunately poor Be ready to be charged for brewed coffee on breakfast At the same time staff was friendly and always involved. One example is when painkiller was brought to me by Umed in the middle of the night. I do appreciate so much such attitude 🧡
