This is my third stay in this hotel and it seems I've been coming back to this same hotel every time I'm in KK.. My first time was more than 20 years back. It seems this hotel has been very good with its upkeep and has been refurbished and renovated. The look and feel is as though it is a new hotel. It seems the upkeep and the room has been refurbished with a new look. And the toilet is really nice. Congratulations.keep up the good work and I like the reception services. Will definitely come back again.

Additionally, there are some issues with the hotel's pool facilities. The edges of the pool may be rough, and I accidentally got a cut while using the pool. I hope the hotel can address this to enhance the safety and comfort of their guests. Great and cozy hotel, though it’s small but just perfect for a short stay. Walking distance to many local delicacies too such as famous Borenos fried chicken, welcome seafood and etc.

Stay in Deluxe room, spacious, ample solid wood furnishing, bed, sliding wooden door curtain gave a antique warm feel, bathtub was a treat, many newer hotel wouldn't have bathtub for RM150 per night, marble bathroom floor and sinktop, looks wee b it aged but functions well. Personally for environmental friendliness, it is better to maintain quality aged furnishing in hotel rather than continuously dismantling older furnishing to change to new ones which likely to be of less quality, like no longer solid wood or marble. Lobby and breakfast area also have marble floor, lavish chandelier, wood frame walls. Breakfast though limited choice was quite tasty. Just one suggestion: please provide milk for coffee rather than just using creamer pack.

Room very spacious. Bed is very comfy. The only downside is, it's very difficult to find parking around the vicinity. Overall, it's a great stay. Will come back again to stay here in future as the location is very convenient. Restaurants and coffee shops are just within short walking distance.

We stayed there for my youngest sister's convocation day. The distance from the airport is bearable and near to every attraction of Kota Kinabalu. It was a great experience staying there as the room is spacious and clean. There was an outdoor swimming pool at level 3. The lobby is spacious and is comfortable for the Grab car pick-up and drop-off service. The staff were so friendly and their customers' service were very good. I will definitely come here again.

The only hotel in DesignHotelsTM group in Borneo island! The lobby and room design, coffee, cocktail and food quality is probably the best you'll find in Sabah and its at par with Singapore standards. The hotel doesn't just give you the environment of a design hotel, great coffee, bespoke cocktails, delicious food but it also offers true Sabahian hospitality that you will not experience anywhere else. As soon as I arrived, one of the hotel owners personally came and greeted me and spend his time to give me a tour and explain the concept of the hotel and its design. The design of the hotel is influenced by different Sabahian landscapes and local craftsmanship depicted through contemporary means. Materials and craft is all sourced locally. I had the chance to meet both the owners and their hospitality was unprecedented. They took their time to get to know me and introduce Sabah and its culture. Something that you will not experience at big chain hotels. The LUMA is a brand new hotel group. There will always be room for improvement in their services. The willingness to improve is there and they listen if you have any complaints or needs.

Unfortunately, the next day, I had to change rooms again due to a leaking air conditioner. It was honestly a very bad experience to have to change rooms twice within the first two days. Despite this, the Duty Manager, Mr. Bryan, was very kind and professional in helping me resolve the issue. I appreciate the Marriott's high standard of service. Overall, the stay was good, and the sunsets were breathtaking.

Overall ok. Perfect location. However, there is no toothbrush, toothpaste and shoe provided as per other compatible hotel. There is no enough power point provided in the room. The aircon temperature cannot be adjusted and there is only 3 room lights in the room and it is too yellowish. Not suitable for whoever who wants to work in the room. Breakfast is reasonable. WiFi is good. Maybe the hotel need some upgrade in the future. Other than this I have no other comment.

Unfortunately, I did not make a booking in time to try their massage services. Finally, the room was lovely. Comfy bed and pillows. The hotel is only 15 stories and we were on the 8th floor, while it's not very high the sea view was still gorgeous. Additional kudos, I appreciated that the laundry team could accommodate for washing of shoes as I had just completed the Mount Kinabalu hike. We made a spontaneous booking to Mari Mari Cultural Village and the travel desk service was really helpful in arranging our booking for the next day. All in all, a fantastic stay and I look forward to staying here again.

A very location centric business type hotel, very close to attractions like the Gaya Market, harbour front and shopping malls. Very easy access to food, either the shophouse and street type or the mall type restaurants. The overall cleanliness is good but the rooms are dated and seem to have a musty smell. The pillow feels flatten, likely needed a replacement. Service is good and staff are friendly. Nice place if not for that musty smell in the room.

Overall our 2-night stay at Hyatt Centric KK was comfy n relaxing. The lobby n top floor lounge ambience is excellent~feeling of calmness. Rooms are spacious n clean with beautiful sunset seaview. We especially like the bathroom with sitting bench~ a considerate design for guests who prefer to sit n shower. Restaurant staff were very well-mannered n helpful. The hotel is well located just opposite the Sabah Suria shopping mall, so it's very convenient if you wish to dine out or shop around…

Well maintained resort and good service. Breakfast spread is good and yummy. Harbour is just 5-10 mins walk away to take boat ride to the Tunku Abdul Rahman islands. Boat ride is only about 15-20mins to the islands. Lovely great swimming pools for both adults and kids and a small private beach for snorkeling. Rooms are clean and spacious. Sunset is beautiful. Love the stay and we will be back. Thank you!

We booked the ocean wing junior suite for a 4D3N stay. The service staff was very helpful and accommodative to our request to change room so that we can stay adjacent to one another. Overall stay was fantastic, especially the food which was delicious and satisfied our palate. There are many activities which you can book with a fee. The spa was located at the scenic golf club and it was great. We also took up a day tour which included a river cruise and firefly viewing. It was a beautiful sight and good experience (minus the mosquitoes!). The resort is not exactly near any amenities but it offers complimentary shutter bus service to Suria Sabah and Imago Shopping Mall three times daily. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a holiday with some exclusivity.

After a long trip arrived at hotel and quickly signed in. We were upgraded to a fantastic room, however phone and TV not working but a great balcony view of the South. China Sea and to the left the jungle. It was lovely to sit and watch the various birds and fireflies. Malaysia Airlines had lost one of our bags and did not seem concerned however after no success we spoke with James at reception who soon sorted it out and it arrived at 9pm. One day wasted Thanks Malaysia Airlines. The next day we had a leisurely breakfast plentiful and good choices of Malay and Western. Very courteous staff. Saw our first monitor lizard and had a garden tour by. a very informative employee Roy. Decided against the nature walk as advised not much to see this time of year. Spent most the day on the empty beach ( Some jellyfish but otherwise a nice dip) and in empty swimming pool. 3 linked pools lovely and warm but needs some maintenance and jacuzzi not working. Only a couple of restaurants were open and although quality of food was good the menus were similar. On our last day we had a very good Chinese style meal in The Noble House (Only open until early evening). As with most meals we were the only ones in the restaurant. All meals were very reasonably priced. The advertised firefly. tour was cancelled due to low tide but Christina arranged a private trip to see them and also the proboscis monkey. Well worth it. . Points to Note Low occupancy with the majority of guests staying overnight only, meant we had pools and beach to ourselves and the restaurants were virtually empty. Disadvantage was that some restaurants. and snack places did not open. Lovely remote location fantastic view , beach and garden walks however nothing in walking distance of the resort so unless taking a. taxi or day trip would not see or meet other local people restaurants or shops. Note the hotel shop has very limited souvenirs and only a few crisps and drinks. We had a great relaxing time, the hotel needs some updating and maintenance but that did not affect our.enjoyment. Staff were helpful and courteous and room clean and well stocked with water tea and coffee. A/C fine. So if you want a relaxing beach and pool holiday with good food and when we were there tranquility we recommend Nexus. PS book trips at the hotel as the one we booked through our agent was about 3 times more.

Although it is far from the town, you can arrange for a pick-up with the front desk, which responds promptly and is very convenient. The hotel breakfast is delicious for three days, but the ecological environment is too good, with many small animals. In the morning, you will be woken up by the crowing of roosters. Later, one day we canceled our plan to go to the sea at the last minute, and asked the boss if he had any recommendations for hiking nearby. The boss also gave us a relatively favorable charter service. The family room for the three girls was actually a little small, and the other two boys who stayed in the standard room said that the space was suitable.

I really like the environment of the manor. It's very relaxing to sit quietly in the garden. I also saw other guests taking photos and checking in in the garden. The room is clean and tidy, and there is a free shuttle bus to the town, which is pretty good! I ordered a bird's nest coconut pudding, which was super delicious. I recommend it. I also saw a team barbecue in the evening. I want to try it with my family next time! The manor guy will also sing at night, and you can also order songs haha!

Like a farmhouse? The room is relatively big. The owner's service is very good and enthusiastic. He took us to buy seafood and helped us bargain quickly. We didn't have to work so hard for half a day. The dogs in the hotel are very cute and well-behaved. But the chicken keeps barking for some reason when he sleeps at night. There are always noises in the house. It feels like a monkey or some other animal. The seafood prices are very good. The restaurants in the town are very good. The bath water is very big and the water temperature is stable and hot enough. The curtains are not enough to block the light. The lights in the corridor outside are very bright and seem to be unable to be turned off. It is not suitable for going to bed early. My friend, the soundproofing is not very good, after all, the wooden house

Sempoorna town is relatively small and apart from diving, hiking, island hopping there is not much things to do. If you're planning to spend more than 2-3 days in the area, I highly recommend considering this resort. Conveniently located just 10 minutes away from Sempoorna town by boat, the resort offers a tranquil escape. The staff and owner here are not only friendly but also incredibly cooperative, ensuring a warm welcome and a comfortable stay throughout. The rooms are clean and thoughtfully equipped, providing a luxurious experience. The surrounding beautiful sea is a highlight, adorned by starfish and other fishes. While the included food may not be the centerpiece of the experience, it is satisfactory, mainly featuring delicious Chinese cuisine. The staff and owner go the extra mile to share details about the resort, snorkeling gear, and any assistance you may need. During our stay, they arranged an unforgettable island-hopping tour, adding an extra layer of excitement to our visit.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Sky Water Villa in Semporna. The villa is beautifully designed and impeccably clean. The king sized bed was comfortable, ensuring restful nights under the stars. One of the highlights of the stay was the all-inclusive buffet dining, breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. The afternoon tea with snacks was a lovely touch, providing a perfect mid day treat after our island hopping and snorkeling or hiking. Free wifi available at the restaurant and lobby area. The staff were exceptional, friendly and accomodating. A standout feature was the free use of snorkeling equipment and life jackets. Although the area around the villa does not feature coral reefs, the sand bank during low tide is a unique experience. It's a perfect spot for a leisurely walk and to observe the stunning starfish scattered across the shallow water. During snorkeling, we also spotted some sea turtles, some colourful fish and even swordfish. The reef is only near the jetty area which is very deep and has strong current. We had a relaxing and wonderful time living over the ocean with a touch of adventure. Highly recommended!

We were assigned to the 8th floor, which has windows. It is large and well-lit. Hotel supplies are available. The shower water is quite large, and there are 2 bottles of water every day. There are Chinese-speaking staff at the front desk. It is currently the tallest hotel. The environment is quite clean. It takes more than 20 minutes to walk to the pier, and a few minutes by taxi. There is a small night market and bakery next to it. There are supermarkets and some restaurants in front of the door. There are free shuttles to the pier and town center in the morning, but not many. There is a pick-up when you return. But pay attention to the time. The hotel requires a deposit of 300 RMB. The only bad thing is that the windows are not well sealed. There are people working outside at 8 or 9 in the morning, and it is a little bit super.

I’m traveling with my baby by myself, and since I’m traveling abroad, I still have a lot of worries before traveling. We bought a 3D2N Sea Star Resort package. It included a return transfer by van from Tawau Airport to Semporna boat jetty which took almost 1.5h, a 10-minute boat ride to Sea Star Resort, a whole day of island hopping and snorkelling, all meals (breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner 👍🏻), free usage of inflatables, transparent paddle boat and snorkelling gear and unlimited supply of drinking water. The room is very clean and spacious- had a king size bed plus a day bed. Bath area was spacious and attractive. Really love this place very much. Look at the video I have attached! Air conditioned, good internet connection and extended balcony. Food is local buffet style. We enjoyed all our meals there. You will get an assortment of dishes. For dinner, you get good large prawns 🍤 and fish👍🏻. Tea is special- besides 2-3 types if local cakes, you get an endless supply of banana fritters which are very addictive 👍🏻 The sea water around the resort and beyond is crystal clear. You can always see the marine creatures in the water. From 4pm, use of inflatables, transparent paddle boat and snorkelling gear are supervised.
