Amazing place - great location, very friendly and helpful people. Beautiful yukata. The dinner and breakfast - amazing experience, everything was super delicious. Hot springs are great too - especially the outdoor one with a view. The room was big, very traditional. So, we liked everything, big thanks to the hosts!

It was an amazing decision to stay at Shimoda hotel. The location is good. We arrived easily. The room is spacious and the beds are comfortable too! Not to mention the dinner that we reserved was very interesting and a spectacle! We were quite lucky because there was fireworks in the area so we saw them from the restaurant in the hotel. I'd say the breakfast is also very worthwhile since there is a variety of food options and some quite unique to Shimoda.

The owners of this hotel are a Chinese couple, and the wife is so kind and beautiful. I'm especially grateful for the delicious Chinese dinner she personally cooked for us – it was incredibly tasty! Great location, quite close to the bus station, and there's a supermarket right across the street, making shopping super convenient. They have hot springs to relax in, and the complimentary curry udon noodles in the evening are definitely a must-try!

Nowadays, general business hotels offer more amenities and facilities, so it must be hard to maintain the buildings of the large hotels of the past. There are some minor imperfections, such as poor plumbing, flickering bedside light bulbs, and ill-fitting sheets, which make this hotel look inferior, but it also has some hard-to-give-up advantages, such as being right in front of the Shinkansen station, free parking, and spacious rooms.

I stayed at the Atagawa Onsen Hotel Blue Ocean with two friends for three nights. The room was really spacious and clean, and it even had two sinks in the bathroom. Facing the ocean was so refreshing! Breakfast was good too. The hotel provides a shuttle service between the hotel and the station, though it's only about a 1.2km walk. For three people, the price was incredibly good value for money. Highly recommend!

The hotel is really close to the subway station, and from my room window, I had a perfect view of Mount Fuji! There are tons of great restaurants nearby, all within a few dozen steps. Breakfast was included, but check-out at 10 AM felt quite early.

Our room was a bit of a walk from the main area, but it was sparkling new. It came with a private in-room onsen, and there were also public baths, plus additional private reservable options. The 'Star' and 'Moon' themed baths were quite good, but having our own private bath in the room was the absolute best. For dinner, we were served exquisite Kaiseki cuisine, and breakfast offered a choice between Japanese and Western styles. The shops along the onsen street tend to open quite late and close relatively early. The location is great, not far from the Bamboo Forest Path and Shuzenji Temple.

Great Location with Amazing Breakfast! The hotel is in a perfect spot and very easy to find. While there is a small fee for parking, the experience was well worth it. I really enjoyed the welcome drink upon arrival and the public bath was very relaxing. Most importantly, the breakfast was outstanding so many delicious options! A solid choice for staying in this area.

I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Rembrandt Style Gotemba during my trip to Japan. The location is incredibly strategic – right across the road from a Family Mart for quick snacks and essentials. It's about a 1-hour drive to Fujikawaguchiko, making for a scenic road trip where you can stop at various nearby parks. Plus, it's just a few minutes away from the Gotemba Premium Outlet for some great shopping. Being on the outskirts, it's the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of busy Tokyo. The facilities were top-notch: there's paid laundry for around 600 yen (which includes drying), a relaxing onsen, free-flow matcha to enjoy anytime, a convenient restaurant on-site, and free car parking which was a huge plus since I was driving. My room had a stunning mountain view – I could see the majestic Mount Fuji from afar, which made waking up every morning magical. The space was comfortable and practical; I could easily open two large suitcases without feeling cramped. Overall, highly recommend this hotel for a peaceful and convenient base in the area!
