This is just an average chain hotel, located at the center of Canterbury. Clean, easy, express business chian hotel. Arrival experience is not very good as the reception isn't that friendly, maybe thats typical white people culture at chai hotel. ( Ps; not trying to be racist ) Serve standard buffet breakfast. Room is clean , size is standard. What's more you ask for, if that's only $260 for 2 nights for 1 room include breakfast .

Had a good stay at this property. Building looked historic but inside the rooms, the renovation and equipment were modern and clean. I stayed at room 15, which was one of the smaller rooms and found it to be a bit of a squeeze. Having stayed at so many properties that required £10 to £15 parking fee a night, I really appreciated that there is free street parking right in front of the property until 8am, or off-site parking (which isn’t too far away) till 11:30am.

Spectacular stay as always, I upgraded to a balcony a room and we weren’t disappointed. Amazing views of the harbour, beach and the white cliffs of Dover on the large balcony. At night it was lovely clear skies and we could see France from our balcony. Room was a great size with homely furniture and furniture for the balcony too. All clean and up to a high standard. Beach and harbour is just a 2 minute walk across the road. Bar and restaurant yet again superb! I went with a dog and had no problems getting meals. Staff as always super polite and helpful they are a credit to the hotel! Highly recommend The Grand Burstin to anyone!

I’ve been staying at this hotel on and off for 6 years. It needs a facelift. It’s tired, it’s got nothing out of the ordinary. Better is available at the same price. The only redeeming feature is the pool!

The Best Holiday inn I have stayed at. Staff are always friendly and polite. Despite a small current refurb everything is running smoothly. The indoor swimming pool and sauna are a brilliant bonus. Breakfast is of okay choice but needs to be improved 🤦‍♀️🙏♥️

The best hotel in the UK that is within our budget. The grounds are spacious. We drove, so the free parking was much appreciated. In fact, it’s the only hotel we have searched that offered free and secure parking. The spacious and clean room was beyond our expectation. Was told that it was renovated recently. The lobby was welcoming. Will definitely book it again.

Good hotel, good breakfast buffet, diner options are ok - also locals for the sunday roast Meat options, parking ok for your stay, good hotel + parking for a visite to Dover Castle bunkers.

A lovely hotel with comfortable and clean rooms. The breakfast was faultless and we had dinner there one evening which again was very good. The staff are friendly and helpful.
