I stayed here with my friend & cat for the night after getting off the ferry & it did the job perfectly. Could be seen as a little bit of a sketchy area at night but that’s not the hotel that’s outside of & we still felt comfortable to walk around to the car at night so it’s not dangerous. There was just a few drunk people around. Overall we had a good stay.

I had a pleasant stay at the Holiday Inn Express London - Dartford. The check-in process was quick and efficient, and the staff were welcoming and professional. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, offering everything I needed for a short stay. The complimentary breakfast was a nice touch, with a decent selection of options to start the day. I also appreciated the convenience of the location, which made it easy to access nearby areas. Overall, it was a comfortable and hassle-free experience, and I would consider staying here again in the future.

Very clean room and very spacious! 8 minutes away from bluewater shopping centre which has lots of different food spots for you to eat at if you don’t want to eat at the hotel. Very friendly staff, great stay !!

This is just an average chain hotel, located at the center of Canterbury. Clean, easy, express business chian hotel. Arrival experience is not very good as the reception isn't that friendly, maybe thats typical white people culture at chai hotel. ( Ps; not trying to be racist ) Serve standard buffet breakfast. Room is clean , size is standard. What's more you ask for, if that's only $260 for 2 nights for 1 room include breakfast .

Pleased with our stay, room was small but cute and recently renovated. Bed was comfy, everything clean, tasty tea, little fridge, wonderful sea view, amazing location, all the amenities needed (except for shower cap). Water pressure was good, just shower in our room was not for tall people. Getting to the room without lift is a disaster, you need to find your ways and not to get lost. Lift is often busy so it’s quite problematic to come to your room and back quickly. Parking was free and convenient. Would surely come back)

Rooms were nice apart from not having a fridge in the room. Good food in restaurant / bar and friendly staff, very accommodating. Pool was a nice amenity apart from being a little dated and too many rules, restricting kids enjoyment, no jumping in, no diving, no photography etc etc.

Staff are friendly and helpful, however booking was overlooked and I didn't get a room to accommodate the people in the booking. Room is standard/ basic, no fan or aircon, Mattress is average. Good WiFi. For the price charged specifically for that night at £58, not value for money. Location is ok, close to motorways.

This is an excellent hotel, with good facilities, lovely central courtyard, plenty of free parking, and very friendly staff. With Chatham and the Dockyard nearby, the location is excellent. Not certain which category to put this hotel in! It's not luxury but better than budget. The rooms are a little dated and the TVs need upgrading. The shower, again, a little dated. We booked a room for three as our adult son has learning disabilities. He was delighted to find he had a separate bedroom with his own, small TV. The rooms were clean, the hotel tidy, and a very good breakfast was included in the price. Overall, good value for money.

This is a very nice hotel with plenty of available parking (a small fee of £5 per night is not unreasonable). We booked a family room which had two double beds for the three of us. The beds were very comfortable and the room had a huge flat screen TV, refrigerator, and a small coffee table with comfortable chairs beside the window. The bathroom was a good size with batch and shower within - the side of the bath may have been a little high for someone with mobility issues. Large reception area with plenty of seating, a coffee bar and bar nearby. The buffet style breakfast was excellent with plenty of freshly cooked food and a good array of pastries. There's also a free gym, pool, steam room and sauna. But, of course, during our two night stay, the latter three were all closed for maintenance! We booked our two nights on separate bookings due to a change of plans. This caused some confusion at reception and took a while to sort out so we didn't have to change rooms.

A lovely hotel with comfortable and clean rooms. The breakfast was faultless and we had dinner there one evening which again was very good. The staff are friendly and helpful.

This was genuinely a wonderful and most special place. The Rocksalt Rooms are in a separate building to the Restaurant - but you check in at the latter and walk you over. Note all the streets here are cobbled, which can be slippery when wet. They are a real BoltHole as they are described, and there are only four total. 2 on 1st floor, 2 on 2nd floor, with one per floor harbour facing. I'd definitely suggest that the upgrade is worth it. The rooms are compact but exceptionally well presented. I've odd little niggles, theres no bedside of any kind - floating shelf would work, where do you put your mobile? And the metal bed frame is ornate and was loose on the footboard. The biggest challenge is where to put things. There are a few hangers on the back of the door and a small set of hooks, but not a drawer or proper place at all. I get space is a real premium here - bedside with 2 drawers all you need! The wet room is compact as everyone says. You won't keep the floor area outside the shower dry, it's not possible. The sink is a corner one with no space to place things but there is shelf in the bathroom for all your luxuries. The body wash / conditioner / hand soap / hand moisturiser are great quality. Noise - it's by the Harbour so they start early, but for us it was part of the charm of the location, the fresh fish smell was totally incredible. Breakfast is not to be missed, across in the restaurant with the best view, it's harbour side. Loved the granola, yoghurt, compote starter. I had English Breakfast as I was hungry, it was great quality but disappoining - it was more style over substance. The bacon is cooked to crispy, not my style at all but great quality. He had the Salmon & Eggs and it won hands down. Local, fresh, decent portion, on wonderful Sourdough. Luckily I was saved a bite. A point or two more - the bedside light fused the circuit and the room was plunged into darkness. Looked for fuse box, could not find. Ended up in Restsurant. They had to get keys to a location they used to own but don't now (ground floor of the Rooms building). This took a while as the keys had to be obtained. I get how this used to work, but not now - the fuse box needs moving. The if we cant fix option was check out and refund - erm no!! There is the most incredible Team member behind the Bar/ Restaurant from Bulgaria whose name I have really tsckily forgotten. For which I apologise. She is truly wonderful and made the visit for me, id return solely to see her again!!! Overall we loved Rocksalt Rooms and would return, to have dinner in the restaurant too! This is the 4th time I've stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Folkestone, but the cost of this booking was hugely more than I've had to pay before. The hotel is fine, and the buffet breakfast is excellent, opening at 6am, allowing an early start on Le Shuttle.

The better place to compare the general facilities is that it is more convenient to travel in the city centre. It is also very convenient to get off the train station. The hotel is very poor. If you are unfortunate, your window is next to the street. There is a bar downstairs every night. Shouting

It's clean and tidy. The annex room is on the third floor. There is no elevator. Breakfast is OK. Entrance to the cathedral is free. The service is friendly. You will also get some discount coupons for surrounding restaurants when you check in. It is cost-effective and recommended.

The environment is good, at first glance, there is the feeling of Downton Manor. The attitude of the younger brother at the front desk is good, there is no elevator, and the big box is a little hard. Booked the cheapest standard room, outdated facilities, sanitation. The restaurant environment is ok, the taste is very general, and there are fewer people eating dinner. Breakfast is a traditional English breakfast, waiting for a long time, feeling forgotten, the restaurant is a young waitress serving poorly. Breakfast tableware is not clean. Surrounded by golf courses, the environment is good, some residents around the leisure play, it is estimated that the consumption is not high.

The hotel is in a small town, and it is very close to the town on foot.....The lower level is a bar and restaurant, but it is quiet, with a small river in front, the rooms are European and clean, and you can see the cathedral.... .The breakfast is very rich, I chose a full English breakfast...

Small single room. Clean and tidy. Bathroom and toilet is also very small. A sliding door for the toilet . Very close to city centre, high street and department store . Excellent location. Few minutes walk to bus terminal .

This hotel in Canterbury is highly recommended. The hotel should have a history of more than 100 years. It is a family business. The house looks ancient from the outside, but it has been renovated inside. The lobby is quite modern. We booked a king-size room, which was very large. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was also large. The key point is that the hotel parking lot is free. If you drive to Canterbury, I highly recommend staying here. It takes about 20 minutes to park the car and walk to the center of Canterbury. Compared with international chains, we prefer these local hotels, which are less crowded, quieter, more comfortable, and more cost-effective.
