Very nice experience staying in this hotel. The price is good and the service is seamless. Thanks to the fast and smart self check-in machine, I can get to my room with few minutes.
Highly recommend this hotel

Unbeatable location, nice breakfast and venues, friendly services. Our compliment to a front desk lady staff who helped us to upgrade our room since the housekeeping missed cleaning our room accidentally (we left the room in normal morning hours without DND sign). One point about the sauna: we anticipate it would be sizable and found it was tiny and humbly equipped therefore we did not try it eventually. Overall, this Scandic Central experience is much better than the previous Scandic version in CPH. We highly recommend this hotel for those to Helsinki.

Good location which is very near to the main railway station. Walk out of the station and you can see the hotel on your right. Look for the lockers in the rail station and you are on the correct way to the hotel.
The hotel has luggage storage which is very useful. When your next travelling time is in the evening.
Take the tram no.3 and then no. 2 to move around the city.

Good value art deco hotel for a three night stay. Exceptional breakfast. Not very helpful pre advice about location. So…
If you are coming from Helsinki port (eg ferry from Tallinn), get the tram 7T to Kaisaniemenpuisto. Then a short walk to the hotel. Tap and pay at the ticket machine for €3.20 one way, zone AB.
From Helsinki airport, get the train to Helsinki main train station, 33 mins, tap and go, zone ABC. To get there walk down the road for 7 to 10 mins; contemplate some cobbled streets when wheeling luggage, but not an issue.
NB Helsinki Kampii is the main BUS/COACH terminal that you may use to go to Porvoo for a wonderful daytrip; a bit more of a walk from the Arthur Hotel ( use Google maps). Not to be confused with the Art Deco train station. All are walkable.
Finally, a visit to Suomenlinna (zone AB tap & go) is recommended along with Senate Square/the Cathedral & the Russian Cathedral.
Great restaurant for Finnish food and beer under €7 is Ravintola Kolme Kruunua. Lovely shops at the harbour stalls & Craft Corner. Take a walk down the Esplanade.
I was carrying about 35kg of camera gear in my suitcase and backpack.
The walk from the station was tough—Google Maps led me through a steep and rocky path.
If you’ve got heavy bags or you’re older, I recommend taking the riverside path on the other side—it’s longer but much easier.
But once I got to the room, I totally forgot the hard part.
It was such a lovely space—calm, cozy, and beautiful.
The owner was super kind and easy to talk to.
I had a great time here and would definitely stay again when I visit Zermatt.
Thanks for the amazing stay and memories^ ^
Let me talk about the facilities first, very perfect!
The bathroom has a washing machine, drying rack and laundry balls! Dry and wet separation!
Kitchen has everything! Oven, dishwasher, all kinds of pots and pans! All you can think of is ready!
The industry also provides! ! USB charging head! Plate! ! ! ! Everything is so beautiful 😊
Traveling is also very convenient ~~ From Helsinki Central Station, take the No. 4 bus and get off at kauppiaankatu and walk for less than 1 minute. Basically, you can see the signboard when you look up! Don't worry about the problem of luggage dragging for a long time to get to the accommodation point! Very close! !
There is also a supermarket downstairs where you can buy ingredients ~👍👍👍
Check-in only needs to be registered on the mobile phone ~ to get the check-in password ~ very effective and fast!
Located right next to Vantaa Airport, it's easily walkable. Finding the hotel from the airport was straightforward thanks to clear signage. The breakfast was standard but perfectly adequate. Our room was spacious and came well-equipped with amenities, including a kettle and coffee. An excellent choice for a layover or transit.

Our experience wasn't off to a good start, dealing with Jason when dropping our bags in the morning. He was borderline racist, assuming we were with the other Asian groups, making presumptions about our requests, and had difficulties understanding our requests on arranging for early to-go breakfast boxes.
But everything else during our stay was perfect hence the 5 stars. Everyone else we dealt with, including the house keepers, restaurant staff and cleaners were all great - very helpful and friendly.
The hotel is strategically located right next to the Central railway station.
The room itself was large and clean and beautifully decorated. We also tried out the facilities including sauna and cold plunge (a Finnish culture), which were top notch. The gym was also world class and properly better equipped than some other commercial gyms out there.
The other highlight was the breakfast. So many options even for vegetarians like us, all allergens clearly labelled.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who's ever in Helsinki.

Overall, my recent stay with Bob W was disappointing.
I booked the 4-person penthouse room primarily for the use of the sauna on my last day of the trip.
Firstly, pin code provided was only valid for door access to the stairs, not door to the elevator side at night. This became a significant inconvenience, especially for a female traveler like myself who arrived at night after a tiring flight. Having to carry a 20kg luggage and a 10kg carry-on up five flights of stairs was both physically demanding and frustrating. Clear arrangements on how to access the elevator at night should have been considered for guest.
Secondly, check-in process was not clearly communicated, causing panic upon arrival. Unfortunately, I had to seek help from customer service on a third-party booking site and reach out via email to obtain a check-in link, which added unnecessary stress and confusion.
Furthermore, instruction for turning on the sauna were unclear, and I was unable to enjoy it until the next morning at 8am, just few hours before my checkout time. I had specifically chosen the penthouse room with the sauna for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. due to the lack of clear instructions, and had to seek assistance to figure out how to operate it properly, which ate into the limited time I had available to enjoy the amenity.
In conclusion, my stay with Bob W fell short of my expectations. The limited time to enjoy the amenities, issues during the check-in process and accessing the elevator, made for a less than satisfactory experience. I hope that Bob W seriously takes feedback into consideration and makes the necessary improvements to ensure a more enjoyable stay for travelers in the future. Thank you
The building is pretty new and clean. However it is relatively small consider Helsinki is not a crowded city. It is conveniently located with a small supermarket around the corner. Otherwise will have to walk back to Helsinki station area where there are a few larger supermarkets available. Heating is not very strong for the time we visited (late Oct). I can't imagine how heating would be enough during winter. We were quite happy with our stay but one small thing that can be improved - a simple instruction on how to separate our rubbish. We are happy to comply with the Finnish way of recycling but at the same time we were a bit confused on which bin is for which item.

GGuest UserHotel is located a bit far from Helsinki central station, around 10 min walk, but is near to shopping area. Room size is appropriate for 2 people, love the shower area as it has a door to close so there won’t be any water splashing out.
YYee11Stayed at Scandic Helsinki Aviapolis, a convenient airport hotel near Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. Overall, it was a good stay, ideal for transit travelers and short visits.
The hotel is just a few minutes from the airport, with a free shuttle service running every 20–30 minutes. It is also within walking distance of Aviapolis train station (about 15 minutes), making it easy to reach Helsinki city center. A major plus is the Jumbo Shopping Mall nearby, offering a variety of restaurants, shops, and a grocery store—perfect for those needing last-minute essentials or an alternative dining option.
The room was clean, modern, and functional, featuring comfortable bedding, a work desk, and a well-maintained bathroom with a walk-in shower and essential toiletries.
The breakfast buffet starts at 6 AM, offering a great selection of fresh bread, cold cuts, hot dishes, and Finnish specialties. For those with super early flights, a light breakfast is available from 4 AM.
Due to time constraints - I briefly checked out the gym and sauna in the basement which appeared well-maintained.
The staff was friendly and efficient, making check-in and check-out smooth. The overall atmosphere is modern and practical, making it a great choice for travelers catching an early flight or needing a short, comfortable stay near the airport.
GGuest UserValmo’s Got Style—and So Does Tanja
Valmo Hotel is modern, comfy, and effortlessly cool—kind of like Tanja at the front desk. She made the stay smoother than Finnish vodka and twice as warm.
Great service, great vibe, and just enough Irish banter with Tanja to make me wonder if she might actually run away to Ireland one day. Here’s hoping!
Would 100% stay again—especially if Tanja’s still around to brighten the lobby

HhelloriririsaI was only informed that the morning sauna was free, so I paid to use the sauna at night. However, I’m now wondering if guests staying at the hotel were actually allowed to use the sauna at night for free as well, since I heard that other guests using the sauna didn’t pay.
it’s amazing that you can stay at a hotel with a sauna included for this price.
