GGuest UserThis hostel was a pleasant surprise! It was clean, the staff was extremely helpful, and I was very comfortable there. After a long day , they had many areas to relax and socialize. I also really enjoyed the breakfast they served. I ate it everyday I was there. It is a bit of a walk to (maybe 8 mins ) to the core downtown part os San Gil. This hostel also doesn’t have hot water in the shower. Overall I would recommend this hostel. Just note it can be a little hard to book activities as a solo traveler, so reach out to them in advance so they can accommodate you

1. Ubicación céntrica y bien conectada:
El hotel está en una de las principales avenidas de Bucaramanga (Av. García Rovira), cerca de centros comerciales (Cacique, Megamall), bancos y restaurantes. Es práctico para reuniones de trabajo o turismo urbano. Aunque no está en el corazón del centro histórico, está bien comunicado.
2. Habitaciones modernas y funcionales:
Las habitaciones son amplias, limpias y con decoración actual (típica de la cadena Holiday Inn). La cama era muy cómoda (sello de la marca), el baño moderno con ducha excelente, y tenía amenities básicos como plancha, cafetera y TV plana. Ideal para descansar después del día.
3. Desayuno buffet completo:
El desayuno incluido es de buena calidad: huevos preparados al momento, arepas santandereanas, frutas frescas, jugos naturales y productos de panadería. Se sirve en un comedor luminoso y ordenado. Un buen comienzo del día.
4. Piscina y gimnasio decentes:
La piscina en la terraza es pequeña pero agradable para un chapuzón con vista a la ciudad. El gimnasio tiene equipos modernos (cardio y pesas) suficientes para una rutina básica. Ambos están bien mantenidos.
5. Personal eficiente y amable:
La recepción y el servicio de conserjería son atentos y profesionales. Nos ayudaron con reservas en restaurantes y recomendaciones para visitar sitios como el Parque del Agua o Girón.
6. Estacionamiento seguro:
Tiene parqueadero techado y vigilado (aunque con espacios un tanto estrechos). Es un plus importante en una ciudad con tráfico como Bucaramanga.
Lo que podría mejorar (Contras):
1. Ruido exterior:
Las habitaciones hacia la Avenida García Rovira sufren de ruido constante de tráfico (motocicletas, buses) hasta altas horas de la noche. Solicita una habitación interior o en pisos altos si eres sensible al ruido.
2. Wi-Fi inconsistente:
La conexión a internet era lenta en horas pico (tardes/noches) y a veces se caía. Si necesitas trabajar con videollamadas o transferir archivos grandes, podría ser un inconveniente.
3. Tarifas algo elevadas para la zona:
Comparado con otros hoteles en Bucaramanga, el precio puede ser ligeramente alto para lo que ofrece (aunque se justifica por la marca y la ubicación). Busca promociones directamente en la web de IHG.
4. Menú del restaurante limitado:
El restaurante a la carta (para almuerzo/cena) tiene opciones limitadas y precios de hotel. Hay mejores y más auténticas opciones de comida santandereana a pocas cuadras (por ejemplo, en el sector de Cabecera).

GGuest UserThe location is very good, the room is clean, and the breakfast is rich, which almost meets the needs of a business trip. There is a small park downstairs, and there are police officers at night, so you feel safe. There is also a lot of food downstairs, including national fried chicken, fried fish, fried pork belly, and beef intestines. Just eat the whole thing.

GGuest UserIdeal for minimum 3 days, immersing yourself in the easy going life of Barichara. Very good breakfeast and helpfull owners who have experience. Rooms are good and the swimming pool refreshes very good.
